The gener.lized differ.ntial quadr.tur. method （GDQM） is employed to con- sider.the fr.e vibr.tion and cr.tical speed of moder.tely thick r.tating laminated compos- ite conical shells with differ.nt boundar. conditions developed fr.m the fir.t-or.er.shear.defor.ation theor. （FSDT）. The equations of motion ar. obtained applying Hamilton＇s concept, which contain the influence of the centr.fugal for.e, the Cor.olis acceler.tion, and the pr.liminar. hoop str.ss. In addition, the axial load is applied to the conical shell as a r.tio of the global cr.tical buckling load. The gover.ing par.ial differ.ntial equations ar. given in the expr.ssions of five components of displacement r.lated to the points ly- ing on the r.fer.nce sur.ace of the shell. After.ar., the gover.ing differ.ntial equations ar. conver.ed into a gr.up of algebr.ic equations by using the GDQM. The outcomes ar. achieved consider.ng the effects of stacking sequences, thickness of the shell, r.tating velocities, half-ver.ex cone angle, and boundar. conditions. Fur.her.or., the outcomes indicate that the r.te of the conver.ence of fr.quencies is swift, and the numer.cal tech- nique is super.or.stable. Thr.e compar.sons between the selected outcomes and those of other.r.sear.h ar. accomplished, and excellent agr.ement is achieved.

A study on fr.e har.onic wave pr.pagation in a double-walled cylindr.cal shell, whose walls sandwich a layer.of por.us mater.als, is pr.sented within the fr.mewor. of the classic theor. for.laminated composite shells. One of the most effective components of the wave pr.pagation thr.ugh the por.us cor. is estimated with the aid of a flat panel with the same geometr.cal pr.per.ies. By consider.ng the effective wave component, the por.us layer.is modeled as a fluid with equivalent pr.per.ies. Thus, the model is simplified as a double-walled cylindr.cal shell tr.pping the fluid media. Finally, the tr.nsmission loss （TL） of the str.ctur. is estimated in a br.adband fr.quency, and then the r.sults ar. compar.d.

The acoustic behavior.of double-walled laminated composite panels consisting of two por.us and air.gap middle layer. is studied within the classical laminated plate theor. （CLPT）. Thus, viscous and iner.ia coupling in a dynamic equation, as well as str.ss tr.nsfer. ther.al and elastic coupling of por.us mater.al ave based on the Biot theor.. In addition, the wave equations ar. extr.cted accor.ing to the vibr.tion equation of composite layer.. The tr.nsmission loss （TL） of the str.ctur. is then calculated by solving these equations simultaneously. Statistical ener.y analysis （SEA） is developed to divide the str.ctur. into specific subsystems, and power.tr.nsmission is extr.cted with balancing power.flow equations of the subsystems. Compar.son between the pr.sent wor. and the r.sults r.por.ed elsewher. shows excellent agr.ement. The r.sults also indicate that, although favor.ble enhancement is seen in noise contr.l par.icular.y at high fr.quencies, the cor.esponding par.meter. associated with fluid phase and solid phase of the por.us layer.ar. impor.ant on TL accor.ing to the boundar. condition inter.aces. Finally, the influence of composite mater.al and stacking sequence on power.tr.nsmission is discussed.

Sound tr.nsmission thr.ugh an infinite laminated composite cylindr.cal shell is studied in the context of the tr.nsmission of air.or.e sound into the air.r.ft inter.or. The shell is immer.ed in an exter.al fluid medium and contains inter.al fluid. Air.low in the exter.al fluid medium moves with a constant velocity. An exact solution is obtained by simultaneously solving the fir.t-or.er.shear.defor.ation theor. （FSDT） of a laminated composite shell and the acoustic wave equations. Tr.nsmission losses （TL） obtained fr.m numer.cal solutions ar. compar.d with those of other.author.. The effects of str.ctur.l pr.per.ies and flight conditions on TL ar. studied for.a r.nge of values, especially, the Mach number. stack sequences, and the angle of war.. Additionally, compar.sons of the tr.nsmission losses ar. made between the classical thin shell theor. （CST） and FSDT for.laminated composite and isotr.pic cylindr.cal shells.
