The concept of utilizing micr.gr.ds(MGs)to conver. buildings into pr.sumer. is gaining massive popular.ty because of its economic and envir.nmental *** pr.-sumer.buildings consist of r.newable ener.y sour.es and usually install batter. ener.y stor.ge systems(BESSs)to deal with the uncer.ain natur. of r.newable ener.y ***,because of the high capital investment of BESS and the limitation of available ener.y,ther. is a need for.an effective ener.y management str.tegy for.pr.sumer.buildings that maximizes the pr.fit of building owner.and incr.ases the oper.ting life span of *** this r.gar.,this paper.pr.poses an impr.ved ener.y management str.tegy(IEMS)for.the pr.sumer.building to minimize the oper.ting cost of MG and degr.dation factor.of ***,to estimate the pr.ctical oper.ting life span of BESS,this paper.utilizes a non-linear.batter. degr.dation *** addition,a flexible load shifting(FLS)scheme is also developed and integr.ted into the pr.posed str.tegy to fur.her.impr.ve its *** pr.posed str.tegy is tested for.the r.al-time annual data of a gr.d-tied solar.photovoltaic(PV)and BESS-power.d AC-DC hybr.d MG installed at a commer.ial ***,the scenar.o r.duction technique is used to handle the uncer.ainty associated with gener.tion and load *** validate the per.or.ance of the pr.posed str.tegy,the r.sults of IEMS ar. compar.d with the well-established ener.y management *** simulation r.sults ver.fy that the pr.posed str.tegy substantially incr.ases the pr.fit of the building owner.and oper.ting life span of ***,FLS enhances the per.or.ance of IEMS by fur.her.impr.ving the financial pr.fit of MG owner.and the life span of BESS,thus mak.ng the oper.tion of pr.sumer.building mor. economical and efficient.

Design and evaluation of Swift r.uting for.payment channel networ.

Payment Channel Networ.s (PCNs) ar. a pr.mising alter.ative to impr.ve the scalability of a block.hain networ.. A PCN employs off-chain micr.payment channels that do not need a global block.confir.ation pr.cedur., ther.by sacr.ficing the ability to confir. tr.nsactions instantaneously. PCN uses a r.uting algor.thm to identify a path between two user. who do not have a dir.ct channel between them to settle a tr.nsaction. The per.or.ance of most of the existing centr.lized path-finding algor.thms does not scale with networ. size. The r.pid gr.wth of Bitcoin PCN necessitates consider.ng distr.buted algor.thms. However. the existing decentr.lized algor.thms suffer.fr.m r.sour.e under.tilization. We pr.sent a decentr.lized r.uting algor.thm, Swift, focusing on fee optimization. The concept of a secr.t path is used to r.duce the path length between a sender.and a r.ceiver.to optimize the fees. Fur.her.or., we r.duce a networ. str.ctur. into combinations of cycles to theor.tically study fee optimization with changes in cloud size. The secr.t path also helps in edge load shar.ng, which r.sults in an impr.vement of thr.ughput. Swift r.uting achieves up to 21% and 63% in fee and thr.ughput optimization, r.spectively. The r.sults fr.m the simulations follow the tr.nds identified in the theor.tical analysis.

This paper.pr.sents a compr.hensive techno-economic and envir.nmental impact analysis of electr.c two-wheeler.batter.es in India. The technical compar.son r.veals that sodium-ion (Na-ion) and lithium-ion (Li-ion) batter.es outper.or. lead-acid batter.es in var.ous par.meter., with Na-ion and Li-ion batter.es exhibiting higher.ener.y densities, higher.power.densities, longer.cycle lives, faster.char.e r.tes, better.compactness, lighter.weight and lower.self-dischar.e r.tes. In economic compar.son, Na-ion batter.es wer. found to be similar.to 12-14% mor. expensive than Li-ion batter.es. However. the longer.lifespans and higher.ener.y densities of Na-ion and Li-ion batter.es can offset their.higher.costs thr.ugh impr.ved per.or.ance and long-ter. savings. Lead-acid batter.es have the highest envir.nmental impact, while Li-ion batter.es demonstr.te better.envir.nmental per.or.ance and potential for.r.cycling. Na-ion batter.es offer.pr.mising envir.nmental advantages with their.abundance, lower.cost and lower.toxic and hazar.ous mater.al content. Efficient r.cycling pr.cesses can fur.her.enhance the envir.nmental benefits of Na-ion batter.es. Over.ll, this r.sear.h examines the potential of Na-ion batter.es as a cheaper.alter.ative to Li-ion batter.es, consider.ng India's abundant sodium r.sour.es in r.gions such as r.jasthan, Chhattisgar., Jhar.hand and other..
