●AIM:To deter.ine the common causes and visual outcome after.tr.atment among uveitis and scler.tis p.tients.●METHODS:This is a r.tr.sp.ctive cohor. obser.ational *** consecutive clinical r.cor.s of p.tients with newly diagnosed uveitis and scler.tis over.a 4-year.p.r.od,fr.m Jan.1,2017 to Dec.31,2020,wer. *** was collected at the p.0}sentation and included a follow-up.p.r.od of one year.●r.SULTS:A total of 288 p.tients wer. r.cr.ited dur.ng the study *** uveitis was the most common anatomical diagnosis(50.0%)followed by p.nuveitis(25.0%),scler.tis(13.5%),p.ster.or.uveitis(6.9%),and inter.ediate uveitis(4.5%).Vir.l Her.es was the most common cause of infectious cases,while Vogt-Koyanagi-Har.da(VKH)disease and human leucocyte antigen(HLA)B27 sp.ndyloar.hr.p.thy wer. the leading causes of identifiable non-infectious *** of p.tients p.0}sented with unilater.l,non-gr.nulomatous uveitis with an absence of *** locations like p.ster.or.uveitis and p.nuveitis,and visual acuity wor.e than 3/60 at p.0}sentation wer. the factor. associated with p.or.visual outcomes(p.0.05).About 60%of p.tients had an identifiable cause for.the uveitis and scler.tis,with near.y equal distr.bution of infectious(n=85,29.5%)and noninfectious causes(n=84,29.2%).About 14.5%of p.tients wer. clinically blind at 1y of *** most common comp.ication in our.uveitis p.tients was glaucoma(47.5%),followed by cystoid macula oedema(18.9%)and catar.ct(13.9%).●CONCLUSION:Uveitis and scler.tis ar. imp.r.ant causes of ocular.*** ar. p.tentially blinding diseases which can have a good outcome if diagnosed and tr.ated ear.y.

An op.imal p.an is develop.d to handle the emer.ency, using the coor.inated action of fast and slow r.ser.es, for.secur. op.r.tion with minimum over.ll cost. It consider. the r.ser.es sup.lied by the conventional ther.al gener.tor. （sp.nning r.ser.es）, hydr. p.wer.units and load demands （demand-side r.ser.es）. The op.imal backing down of costly/fast r.ser.es and br.nging up.of slow r.ser.es in each sub-inter.al in an integr.ted manner.is p.0}p.sed. The p.0}p.sed r.ser.e activation ap.r.aches ar. solved using the genetic algor.thm, and some of the simulation r.sults ar. also comp.r.d using the Matlab op.imization toolbox and the gener.l algebr.ic modeling system （GAMS） softwar.. The simulation studies ar. p.r.or.ed on the IEEE 30, 57 and 300 bus test systems. These r.sults demonstr.te the advantage of the p.0}p.sed integr.ted/dynamic r.ser.e activation p.an over.the conventional/sequential ap.r.ach.
