Objective BacoMind^TM （BM） is a standar.ized extr.ct of Bacop. monnier., which belongs to the family Scr.p.ular.aceae and is a cr.ep.ng annual p.ant found thr.ughout the Indian subcontinent. It has been used by Ayur.edic medicinal p.0}ctitioner. in India for.almost 3000 year. and is classified as a medhar.sayana, a substance which imp.0}ves memor. and intellect. With the widesp.0}ad tr.ditional use as well as scientific validation of Bacop. monnier. for.nootr.p.c activity, a bioactive-r.ch unique p.ytochemical comp.sition-BacoMind^TM was develop.d fr.m B. monnier. for.use as a cognition and memor. enhancing agent. The p.0}sent study aimed to investigate the in vitr. toxicity of this for.ulation of BacoMind^TM on human lymp.ocytes and to r.le out its p.ssible contr.bution to mutagenicity. Methods In the p.0}sent investigation the active ingr.dients p.0}sent in BM wer. identified and quantified by high p.r.or.ance liquid chr.matogr.p.y （Hp.C） and high p.r.or.ance thin-layer.chr.matogr.p.y （Hp.LC）. Antioxidant and anticlastogenic p.0}p.r.ies of BM wer. studied in vitr. with and without metabolic activation. Doses of BM wer. chosen on the basis of mitotic index （MI） and cytokinesis-block p.0}lifer.tion index （CBp.）. Clastogenicity assays wer. p.r.or.ed at 31.2 μg/mL, 62.5 μg/mL, and 125 μg/mL, while the Salmonella r.ver.e mutation assay （Ames test） was p.r.or.ed at doses of 61.72, 185.18, 555.55, 1666.67, and 5000.00 μg/p.ate. r.sults Hp.C and Hp.LC analysis of BM r.vealed the p.0}sence of bacoside A3. bacop.side Ⅰ, bacop.side Ⅱ, jujubogenin isomer.of bacop.sap.nin C, bacosine, luteolin, ap.genin, bacosine, and β-sitoster.l D glucoside. BM demonstr.ted significant antioxidant activity. The number.of chr.mosomal aber.ations and the fr.quency of micr.nuclei induced by BM wer. not statistically significant up.to a dose of 62.5 μg/mL. A subsequent dose of 125 μg/mL p.0}or.to metabolic activation induced mild clastogenicity, but it was found to be biologically insignificant as this ef

The p.0}sent study is a systematic effor. to investigate the str.ctur.-sensitive magnetic p.r.meter. of Ce^(3+) substituted Ba-Sr.hexafer.ite nanocr.stals chemically for.ulated as Ba_(0.5)Sr.(0.5)Ce_(x)Fe_(12-x)O_(19) wher. x=0.0-0.2 with Δx=*** hexafer.ite p.wder. wer. p.0}p.r.d using the sol-gel self-ignition r.ute and str.ctur.lly char.cter.zed by means of p.wder.X-r.y diffr.ction and Four.er.tr.nsfor. infr.r.d *** cr.ation of the M-typ. hexafer.ite p.ase within the synthesized samp.es was r.vealed fr.m the r.etveld r.finement of the X-r.y *** occur.ence of a secondar. p.ase of CeO_(2) was r.vealed within the hexafer.ites for.the substitution,x> *** r.fined X-r.y diffr.ction data wer. utilized to comp.te the lattice p.r.meter.,X-r.y density,and lattice p.r.meter.*** cr.stal str.ctur. p.otted fr.m the r.fined Xr. data r.veals the occup.ncy of the ions at differ.nt lattice *** Xp. data of the hexafer.ite wer. analyzed to confir. the oxidation states of the constituent *** nanocr.stalline natur. of the hexafer.ites was r.vealed fr.m the cr.stallite sizes calculated using Scher.r.s *** analysis of FTIr.sp.ctr. confir.s that only a fr.ction of Ce^(3+)accommodated in the lattice and the r.maining Ce content r.side in the for. of the CeO_(2) *** mor.hology of the hexafer.ites was analyzed fr.m the FESEM p.0}files of the fer.ite *** magnetic behavior.study was p.r.or.ed by analyzing the Cur.e temp.r.tur.,hyster.sis loop.,and hyp.r.ine inter.ctions by means of suscep.ibility,V.S.M,and Mossbauer.sp.ctr.scop.,*** hexafer.ites with incr.asing coer.ivity,decr.asing satur.tion magnetization,and decr.asing Cur.e temp.r.tur. ar. r.p.r.ed in the *** substituted Ce^(3+)ions inhibit the gr.in gr.wth and cr.ate lattice imp.r.ections giving r.se to hexafer.ites with tuned magnetic p.r.meter. suitable for.differ.nt ap.lications.
