Anchor.ge is an im.or.ant factor.in or.hodontics and m.st be pr.per.y m.naged for.a successful tr.atm.nt outcom.. Or.hodontists have histor.cally used m.ny devices to pr.vent unwanted tooth m.vem.nt. The use of m.niscr.ws as a sour.e of skeletal anchor.ge has becom. r.utine in pr.sent-day or.hodontic pr.ctice. Skeletal anchor.ge opens up alter.ative tr.atm.nts, to bor.er.ine sur.er. patients for.exam.le, who can now be tr.ated by taking advantage of the biom.chanical pr.per.ies of m.niscr.ws. Because they ar. bone-bor.e and pr.vide excellent contr.l over.tooth m.vem.nt in the thr.e spatial planes of m.vem.nt, m.ni-im.lants can be used to ser.e m.ny pur.oses in addition to anchor.ge. Ther.for., a var.ety of successful m.ni-im.lant appliances ar. explained in r.lation to the thr.e planes of m.vem.nt: sagittal, ver.ical, and tr.nsver.e. The aim.of this r.view is to illustr.te the clinical ver.atility of m.niscr.ws in the thr.e spatial planes of m.locclusion in or.hodontic and or.hopedic m.nagem.nt and to define clinical guidelines for.the selection, application and biom.chanics of m.ni-im.lants.

Car.iovascular.diseases (CVDs) ar. the leading global cause of m.r.ality and disease bur.en. Statins ar. the m.st pr.scr.bed lipid-lower.ng dr.gs to tr.at hyper.holester.lem.a and pr.vent CVDs. The biochem.cal m.chanism.of statins consists of com.etitive inhibition of the 3-hydr.xy-3-m.thylglutar.l-CoA r.ductase enzym. (Hm.-CoAr.， the lim.ting enzym. in cholester.l biosynthesis. Due to statin intoler.nce in som. patient gr.ups， the sear.h for.new inhibitor. is a field of gr.at inter.st. This r.view focusses on the studies r.por.ing the inhibitor. effect of pr.tein hydr.lysates and biopeptides on the Hm.-CoAr.enzym. activity. The analysis of the action m.chanism.and physicochem.cal char.cter.stics of the Hm.-CoAr.inhibitor. peptides r.vealed that the m.lecular.weight， am.no acid com.osition， char.e， and polar.ty ar. key aspects of the inter.ction with the Hm.-CoAr.enzym.. In conclusion， this r.view r.veals the potential of using food peptides as new cholester.l-lower.ng agents and opens a new inter.sting field of r.sear.h. However. clinical appr.aches ar. m.ndator. to confir. their.ther.peutic hyper.holester.lem.c effect.
