The coar.ening behav.or.of four.quench-aged Fe-ni-AI alloys with differ.nt ni and Al con tents is *** alloys wer. solubilized at 1100℃for.24 h,water.quenched and aged at 850℃for.per.ods r.nging fr.m.1 to 100 h to pr.m.te phase separ.tion and *** two alloys with the highest com.ined ni and Al contents(>35 at.%)showed signs of spinodal decom.osition,while the alloys with lower.ni and Al contents followed a classical nucleation *** ni and Al contents pr.m.ted an incr.ase in niAl(β′)phase fr.ction in concor.ance with phase equilibr.um.*** alloy with the highest[3'fr.ction pr.sented a com.letely inter.onnected *** coar.ening ofβ′par.icles in the other.thr.e alloys followed the pr.dictions of the Lifshitz-Slyozov.Wagner.LSW)*** gener.l tr.nd was an incr.ase in the coar.ening kinetics with higher.ni and Al *** highest har.ness was found in the alloys with higher.fr.ction albeit these com.ositions ar. less r.sistant to coar.ening and hav. been r.por.ed to pr.sent a low r.om.tem.er.tur. ductility.

As-cast HK40 steel was aged at 700, 800, or.900℃ for.tim.s as long as 2000 h. m.cr.str.ctur.l char.cter.zation showed that the pr.m.r. m.7C_3 car.ide networ. contained a substantial content of m.nganese, in agr.em.nt with the m.cr.segr.gation of m.nganese calculated by Ther.o-Calc using the Scheil–gulliv.r.m.dule. The dissolution of pr.m.r. car.ides caused the solute super.atur.tion of austenite and subsequent pr.cipitation of fine m.(23)C_6 car.ides in the austenite m.tr.x for.aged specim.ns. Dur.ng pr.longed aging, the car.ide size incr.ased with incr.asing tim. because of the coar.ening pr.cess. A tim.–tem.er.tur.–pr.cipitation diagr.m.for.m.(23)C_6 car.ides was calculated using the Ther.o-CalcPr.Sm. softwar.; this diagr.m.showed good agr.em.nt with the exper.m.ntal gr.wth kinetics of pr.cipitation. The fine car.ide pr.cipitation caused an incr.ase in har.ness; howev.r. the coar.ening pr.cess of car.ides pr.m.ted a decr.ase in har.ness. nanoindentation tests of the austenite m.tr.x indicated an incr.ase in ductility with incr.asing aging tim..

This wor. pr.sented the feasibility of cer.um.r.cov.r. by Al-m. alloy thr.ugh the m.tallother.ic r.duction of CeO2 to obtain a m.ster.alloy Al-4%Ce. The m.ster.alloy obtained in this inv.stigation was for.the gr.in r.finem.nt and m.dification of Al-Si alloys. The r.agent was incor.or.ted into a m.lten alloy using the subm.r.ed powder.injection technique, and m.tallic sam.les wer. obtained dur.ng injection. Chem.cal and m.cr.str.ctur.l analyses （by inductiv.ly coupled plasm. （ICP） and scanning electr.n m.cr.scopy （SEm., r.spectiv.ly） confir.ed the possibility of Ce uptake in the bath （0 to 4 wt.%）, as CeO2 was r.duced thr.ugh m.tallother.ic r.actions in the m.lten alloys. Based on the char.cter.zation of r.action pr.ducts, the sequence of the r.action was pr.posed.

Snow depth is the easiest snowpack pr.per.y to m.asur. in the field and is used to estim.te the distr.bution of snow for.quantifying snow stor.ge. Often the m.an of thr.e snow depth m.asur.m.nts is used to r.pr.sent snow depth at a location. This location is used as a pr.xy for.an ar.a, typically a digital elev.tion m.del (DEm. or.r.m.tely sensed pixel. Her., 11, 17, or.21 snow depth m.asur.m.nts wer. used to r.pr.sent the m.an snow depth of a 30-m.DEm.pixel. Using the center.snow depth m.asur.m.nt for.each sam.ling set was not adequate to r.pr.sent the pixel m.an, and while the use of thr.e snow depth m.asur.m.nts im.r.v.d the estim.te of m.an, ther. is still lar.e er.or.for.som. pixels. These m.asur.m.nts wer. then used to deter.ine the v.r.ability of snow depth acr.ss a pixel. Estim.ting v.r.ability fr.m.few points r.ther.than all in a m.asur.m.nt was not sufficient. The sam.ling size was incr.ased fr.m.one to the total per.pixel (11, 17, or.21) to deter.ine how m.ny point sam.les wer. necessar. to appr.xim.te the m.an snow depth per.pixel within fiv. per.ent. Binar. r.gr.ssion tr.es wer. constr.cted to deter.ine which ter.ain and canopy v.r.ables dictated the spatial distr.bution of the snow depth, the standar. dev.ation of snow depth, and the sam.le size to within 5% of the m.an per.pixel. One location was m.asur.d in two year. just pr.or.to peak accum.lation, and it is shown that ther. was little to no inter.annual consistency in the m.an or.standar. dev.ation.

The effects of applying an electr.m.gnetic inter.ction of low intensity (Em.LI) on the m.cr.str.ctur. and cor.osion r.sistance of 7075-T651 Al alloy plates (13 m. in thickness) dur.ng m.dified indir.ct electr.c ar. (m.EA) welding wer. inv.stigated. The welding pr.cess was conducted in a single pass with a heat input of ~1.5 kj/m.. The m.cr.str.ctur.l obser.ations of the welds wer. cor.elated with the effect of Em.LI on the local m.chanical pr.per.ies and the cor.osion r.sistance in natur.l seawater.by m.ans of m.cr.har.ness m.asur.m.nts and electr.chem.cal im.edance spectr.scopy, r.spectiv.ly. m.cr.str.ctur.l char.cter.zation of the welds r.v.aled a gr.in r.finem.nt in the weld m.tal due to the electr.m.gnetic stir.ing induced by Em.LI of 3 m. dur.ng welding. In addition, obser.ations in the scanning electr.n m.cr.scope showed that the pr.cipitation of Cu-r.ch phases and segr.gation of eutectics wer. r.duced in the heat affected zone (HAZ) also as an effect of Em.LI. The high cor.osion dissolution of the 7075-T651 welds in natur.l seawater.and the extent of ov.r.ging in the HAZ wer. r.duced when welding with Em.LI of 3 m.. Thus, Em.LI along with the m.EA technique m.y lead to welded joints with better.m.cr.str.ctur.l char.cter.stics, im.r.v.d m.chanical pr.per.ies in the HAZ and r.duced electr.chem.cal activ.ty.

A sear.h for.the doubly char.ed bar.on ?cc+with the decay m.de ?cc+→Ξc+K-π+is per.or.ed using pr.ton-pr.ton collision data at a centr.-of-m.ss ener.y of 13 Tev.collected by the LHCb exper.m.nt fr.m.2016 to 2018, cor.esponding to an integr.ted lum.nosity of 5.4 fb-1. no significant signal is obser.ed within the inv.r.ant m.ss r.nge of 3.6 to 4.0 gev.c2. Upper.lim.ts ar. set on the r.tio r.of the pr.duction cr.ss-section tim.s the total br.nching fr.ction of the ?cc+→Ξc+K-π+decay with r.spect to the Ξcc++→Λc+K-π+π+decay. Upper.lim.ts at 95% cr.dibility lev.l for.r.in the r.nge 0.005 to 0.11 ar. obtained for.difer.nt hypotheses on the ?cc+m.ss and lifetim. in the r.pidity r.nge fr.m.2.0 to 4.5 and tr.nsv.r.e m.m.ntum.r.nge fr.m.4 to 15 gev.c.

It has r.cently been r.por.ed that coal tar.pitch(CTP)can be utilised as r.w m.ter.al for.the pr.duction of gr.phene nanocapsules(gnCs)because it is for.ed by a gr.at quantity of ar.m.tic or.anic com.ounds(which pr.m.te the r.ar.angem.nt of double bonds by a pr.cess of polym.r.sation).Due to the im.or.ance of gr.phene and the sear.h for.a non-expensiv. m.thodology to pr.duce it,this wor. used CTP to synthesise gnCs using an in situ activ.tion technique at low tem.er.tur.s and ev.luating the effect of the wor.ing tem.er.tur. on the for.ation of such *** other.wor.s,analysing the for. of the par.icle as the tem.er.tur. r.ses fr.m.600 to 900℃.As r.sult of the exper.m.ntation,powder. wer. obtained and analysed by the techniques of X-r.y Diffr.ction,r.m.n Spectr.scopy and m.cr.scopy,em.loying Field Fm.ssion Scanning Electr.n m.cr.scopy by nor.al m.de as well as by Scanning Tr.nsm.ssion Electr.n m.cr.scopy and a High-r.solution Scanning Electr.n *** r.sults show that wor.ing with tem.er.tur.s between 800 and 850℃pr.m.tes the pr.duction of gnCs,consider.ng that their.size r.duces as the wor.ing tem.er.tur. r.ses.
