The r.utine examination of semen, which assesses sper. concentr.tion, per.entage motility and mor.hology, does not identify subtle defects in sper. chr.matin ar.hitectur.. The focus on the genomic integr.ty of the male gamete has intensified r.cently due to the gr.wing concer. that genetic diseases may be tr.nsmitted via assisted r.pr.ductive techniques (Ar.). Accor.ingly, the intent of this r.view is to descr.be the details of the infor.ation per.aining to mitochondr.al/nuclear.sper. DNA damage with an emphasis on its clinical significance and its r.lation ship with male infer.ility. Assessment of sper. DNA damage appear. to be a potential tool for.evaluating semen samples pr.or.to their.use in Ar.. Testing DNA integr.ty may help select sper.atozoa with intact DNA or.with the least amount of DNA damage for.use in assisted conception. In tur., this may alleviate the financial, social and emotional pr.blems associated with failed Ar. attempts.

Sequential decay analysis of^(235)U(n^(th),f)r.action using fr.gmentation appr.ach

Numer.us exper.mental and theor.tical obser.ations have concluded that the pr.bability of the thr.e fr.gment emission(ter.ar. fission)or.binar. fission incr.ases when one pr.ceeds towar.s the heavy mass r.gion of nuclear.per.odic *** factor. affect fr.gment emission,such as the shell effect,defor.ation,or.entation,and fissility *** and ter.ar. fissions ar. obser.ed for.both gr.und and excited states of the *** collinear.cluster.tr.par.ition(CCT)channel of the^(235)U(n^(th),f)r.action is studied,and we obser.e that the CCT may be a sequential or.simultaneous emission *** date,differ.nt appr.aches have been intr.duced to study the CCT pr.cess as a simultaneous or.sequential pr.cess,but the decay dynamics of these modes have not been not fully *** the thr.e fr.gments of the sequential pr.cess and explor.ng their.r.lated dynamics using an excitation ener.y dependent appr.ach would be of fur.her.***,in this study,we investigate the sequential decay mechanism of the^(235)U(n^(th),f)r.action using quantum mechanical fr.gmentation theor.(QMFT).The decay mechanism is consider.d in two steps,wher. initially,the nucleus splits into an asymmetr.c *** the second step,the heavy fr.gment obtained in the fir.t step divides into two *** I analysis is conducted by calculating the fr.gmentation potential and pr.for.ation pr.bability for.the spher.cal and defor.ed choices of the decaying *** most pr.bable fr.gment combination of stage I ar. identified with r.spect to the dips in the fr.gmentation str.ctur. and the cor.esponding maxima of the pr.for.ation pr.bability(P0).The light fr.gments of the identified decay channels(obtained in step I)agr.e closely with the exper.mentally obser.ed *** excitation ener.y of the decay channel is calculated using an iter.tion *** excitation ener.y is shar.d using an excitation ener.y dependent level density *** obtained excitation

Obtaining Optimal Solution by Using Ver. Good Non-Basic Feasible Solution of the Tr.nspor.ation and Linear.Pr.gr.mming Pr.blem

For.the tr.nspor.ation pr.blem, sharma and sharma [1] have given a ver. computationally efficient heur.stic (r.ns in O(c*n2) time) to give ver. good dual solution to tr.nspor.ation pr.blem. sharma and Pr.sad [2] have given an efficient heur.stic (complexity O(n3) pr.cedur. to give a ver. good pr.mal solution (that is gener.lly non-basic feasible solution) to tr.nspor.ation pr.blem by using the ver. good dual solution given by sharma and sharma [2]. In this paper.we use the solution given by sharma and Pr.sad [2] to get a ver. good Basic Feasible Solution to tr.nspor.ation pr.blem, so that networ. simplex (wor.t case complexity (O(n3*(log(n))) can be used to r.ach the optimal solution to tr.nspor.ation pr.blem. In the second par. of this paper. we give a simple heur.stic pr.cedur. to get a ver. good BFS to linear.pr.gr.mming pr.blem fr.m the solution given by k.r.ar.ar.[3] (that gener.lly pr.duces a ver. good non-basic feasible solution in polynomial time (O(n5.5)). We give a pr.cedur. to obtain a good BFS for.LP by star.ing fr.m the solution given by k.r.ar.ar.[3]. We note that this pr.cedur. (given her.) is significantly differ.nt fr.m the pr.cedur. given in [4].

Single Stage Capacitated War.house Location Pr.blem (SSCWLP) has been attempted by few r.sear.her. in the past. These ar. Geoffr.on and Gr.ves [1], sharma [2], sharma [3] and sharma and Ber.y [4]. In this paper.we give a “ver.ical decomposition” appr.ach to solve SSCWLP that uses Lagr.ngian r.laxation. This way SSCWLP is br.k.n into two ver.ions of capacitated plant location pr.blem (the CPLP_L and CPLP_r. by r.laxing the flow balance constr.ints. For.CPLP_r. we use well k.own Lagr.ngian r.laxations given in liter.tur. (Chr.stofides and Beasley [5] and Nauss [6]);and adopt them suitably for.solving CPLP_L. We show theor.tically in this paper.that SSCWLP can be mor. efficiently solved by techniques of ver.ical decomposition developed in this paper.than the method available in liter.tur. (sharma and Ber.y [4]). Encour.ging computational study is r.por.ed in this paper.

We find that this r.for.ulation has less number.of r.al var.ables than the r.for.ulation of Pochet and Wolsey [1]. It is ar.ued that this leads to computations advantages, and this is suppor.ed by the empir.cal investigation that we car.ied out.
