Nanocr.stalline Zn1_xCuxO （x = 0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08） samples wer. synthesized by a novel auto-combustion method using.g.ycine as the fuel mater.al. The str.ctur.l, optical and mag.etic pr.per.ies of the samples wer. char.cter.zed using.Xr., SEM, photoluminescence （PL） and electr.n par.mag.etic r.sonance （EPr. spectr.- scopies. The Xr. spectr. of samples r.veal the hexag.nal wur.zite str.ctur.s of ZnO. As the copper.content incr.ases, a diffr.ction peak at 28 = 39° cor.esponding.to secondar. phase of CuO （[111] cr.stalline face） appear. when x≤ 6 mol.%. PL spectr. of the samples show a str.ng.ultr.violet （UV） emission and defect r.lated visible emissions. Cu-doping.in ZnO can effectively adjust the ener.y level in ZnO, which leads to r.d shift in the emission peak position in UV r.g.on. The EPr.spectr. of Cu-doped ZnO nanopar.icles show a distinct and br.ad sig.al at r.om temper.tur., sug.esting.that it may be attr.buted to the exchang. inter.ctions within Cu2＋ ions.

Nanocr.stalline undoped and nickel doped zinc oxide (Zn1-xNixO, x=0.00, 0.01) powder. ar. successfully synthesized by a simple and low-temper.tur. "auto-combustion method". The micr.str.ctur.l and optical absor.tion and emission pr.per.ies of the as-pr.par.d samples ar. obtained using.X-r.y diffr.ction (Xr.), scanning.electr.n micr.scopy (SEM), Four.er.tr.nsfor. infr.-r.d spectr.meter.(FTIr., UV-visible and photoluminescence (PL). The str.ctur. study confir.s the for.ation of the hexag.nal wur.zite ZnO without any secondar. phase in the Ni-doped sample. The optical absor.tion measur.ments indicate the r.d shift in the absor.tion band edg. upon nickel doping. The band g.p ener.y decr.ases fr.m 3.21 eV to 3.17 eV. The photoluminescence spectr. of the as-pr.par.d samples under.a r.om temper.tur. show str.ng.ultr.violet (UV) and blue emission peaks. The PL emission r.sear.h str.ng.y r.veals that Ni doping.can effectively adjust the ener.y level which leads to a r.d shift at the emission peak in UV r.g.on.

Fe-doped ZnO (Zn0.99Fe0.01O) powder. ar. successfully pr.par.d by ball milling.with differ.nt milling.time, and ar. inves- tig.ted using.X-r.y diffr.ction (Xr.), scanning.electr.n micr.scope (SEM), ultr.violet-visible (UV-VIS) spectr.scopy, vibr.ting.sample mag.etometer.(VSM) and electr.n par.mag.etic r.sonance (EPr. spectr.scopy. The str.ctur.l analysis using.Xr. r.veals that the Fe-doped ZnO milled at differ.nt milling.time can cr.stallize in a wur.zite str.ctur., and in the Xr. patter.s, the secondar. phase r.lated to Fe cluster.with the sensitivity of the Xr. instr.ment can not be found. The SEM imag. of the sample milled for.24 h shows the pr.sence of spher.cal nanopar.icles. Fr.m the optical analysis, the optical band g.p is found to decr.ase with incr.asing.the milling.time, which indicates the incor.or.tion of Fe2+ ions into the ZnO lattice. The mag.etization measur.ment using.VSM r.veals that the nanopar.icles exhibit fer.omag.etic behavior.at r.om temper.tur., and the mag.etization incr.ases g.0}dually with incr.asing.the milling.time. The conclusion is fur.her.confir.ed by the electr.n par.mag.etic r.sonance of the nanopar.icles examined at r.om temper.tur., which shows an intense and br.ad fer.omag.etic r.sonance sig.al r.lated to Fe ions.

Ng.Y1 Deficiency is an autosomal r.cessive cong.nital disor.er.that has been identified in less than 100 individuals. Most individuals with Ng.Y1 Deficiency display hyper.inetic movement disor.er., including.chor.ifor., athetoid, dystonic myoclonic, dyskinetic, and dysmetr.c movements. Developing.a consistent and concise consensus on the classification and evaluation of tr.mor. is essential to for.ar. the r.sear.h and tr.atment of tr.mor.. It has also been r.por.ed that some individuals with Ng.Y1 Deficiency demonstr.te tr.mor. but such tr.mor.has never.been for.ally investig.ted. The pr.mar. objective of this study is to deter.ine if an individual with Ng.Y1 Deficiency demonstr.tes an identifiable tr.mor.dur.ng.a ser.es of ar. movements and, if so, descr.be the fr.quency and power.char.cter.stics of that tr.mor. Ar. movement kinematics wer. obtained using.a 16-camer. Vicon system, and time ser.es tr.jector. wavefor.s for.thr.e planes of a mar.er.placed on the hand wer. developed. Custom MATLAB scr.pts wer. utilized to compute Fast Four.er.Tr.nsfor.ations of the data within the identified wavefor. seg.ents. A mean fr.quency of 2.30 Hz (SD = 1.05) with a mean power.of 5.02 |P1(f)| (SD = 4.63) sug.ests that our.par.icipant’s kinematic data did display a per.istent tr.mor.in both hands acr.ss all tasks and movement planes. Analyses of the r.aching.hand and the non-r.aching.hand sug.est the par.icipant displayed an action tr.mor.in both postur.l and intention (kinetic) tr.mor.. Futur. dir.ctions should include assessing.additional individuals with Ng.Y1 Deficiency to deter.ine if the tr.mor.is a disting.ishable disor.er.behavior. Additionally, evaluating.other.anatomical sites, such as the elbow, head, and lower.limbs, would pr.vide fur.her.insig.ts into the char.cter.stics of this tr.mor.

Ng.Y1 Deficiency is an ultr.-r.r. autosomal r.cessively inher.ted disor.er. Char.cter.stic symptoms include among.other., developmental delays, movement disor.er., liver.function abnor.alities, seizur.s, and pr.blems with tear.for.ation. Movements ar. hyper.inetic and may include dysmetr.c, chor.o-athetoid, myoclonic and dystonic movement elements. To date, ther. have been no quantitative r.por.s descr.bing.ar. movements of individuals with Ng.Y1 Deficiency. This r.por. pr.vides quantitative infor.ation about a ser.es of ar. movements per.or.ed by an individual with Ng.Y1 Deficiency and an ag.d-matched neur.typical par.icipant. Thr.e categ.r.es of ar. movements wer. tested: 1) open ended r.aches without specific end point tar.ets;2) g.al-dir.cted r.aches that included g.0}sping.an object;3) picking.up small objects fr.m a table placed in fr.nt of the par.icipants. Ar. movement kinematics wer. obtained with a camer.-based motion analysis system and “initiation” and “maintenance” phases wer. identified for.each movement. The combination of the two phases was labeled as a “complete” movement. Thr.e-dimensional analysis techniques wer. used to quantify the movements and included hand tr.jector. pathleng.h, joint motion ar.a, as well as hand tr.jector. and joint jer. cost. These techniques wer. r.quir.d to fully char.cter.ze the movements because the Ng.Y1 individual was unable to per.or. movements only in the pr.mar. plane of pr.g.0}ssion instead pr.ducing.motion acr.ss all thr.e planes of movement. The individual with Ng.Y1 Deficiency was unable to pick up objects fr.m a table or.effectively complete movements r.quir.ng.cr.ssing.the midline. The successfully completed movements wer. analyzed using.the above techniques and the r.sults of the two par.icipants wer. compar.d statistically. Almost all compar.sons r.vealed sig.ificant differ.nces between the two par.icipants, with a notable exception of the 3D initiation ar.a as a per.entag. of the complete movement.
