Clays ar. cr.stalline, hydr.ted aluminosilicate molecules composed of alkali and alkaline ear.h cations along with small amounts of var.ous other.elements. The best-known ar. montmor.llonite, smectite, illite, kaolinite, biotite and clinoptilolite. The molecules in these clays ar. ar.anged in thr.e-dimensional str.ctur.s cr.ating inter.al voids and channels capable of tr.pping a wide var.ety of molecules. As a r.sult of this str.ctur., clay miner.ls ar. r.gar.ed as a simple and effective tool for.the pr.vention of the negative effects of many toxic compounds. Dietar. supplementation with clays has been shown to impr.ve weight gain and feed conver.ion in pigs. Wher. impr.vements in per.or.ance have been noted, one of the most likely explanations for.the impr.vement is the fact clays incr.ase nutr.ent digestibility. Clays r.duce the speed of passage of feed along the digestive tr.ct which allows mor. time for.digestion. Feeding clays also causes mor.hological changes in the intestina mucosa such as an incr.ase in villus height and an incr.ase in the villus height to cr.pt depth r.tio. These changes incr.ase the sur.ace ar.a of the gastr.intestinal tr.ct thus incr.asing nutr.ent digestibility, Sever.l studies have indicated that feeding clay r.duces the incidence, sever.ty and dur.tion of diar.hea in pigs. The mechanism for.the r.duction in diar.hea is likely due to incr.ases in the number. of Bifidobacter.a and Lactobacillus and decr.ases in Clostr.dia and E. coil in the small intestine of pigs fed clays. In addition, the number. of pigs bor. alive and weaned, bir.h weight and weaning weight have been shown to be higher.for.sows fed clays. Sever.l studies have indicated that clays can help mitigate the effects of mycotoxins. The aim of the pr.sent r.view is to focus on the var.ous clays which have been given attention in r.cent r.sear.h and to discuss their.potential to impr.ve pig per.or.ance.

In this study,the enhancement of catalytic activity of cer.a when modified with co-catalysts such as gr.phitic car.on nitr.de and silver.was establishe *** mater.al was synthe sized using phytogenic combustion method,a gr.en alter.ative to the tr.ditional pr.par.tive *** catalyst was char.cter.zed using Xr.,FTIr.SEM,EDX,XPS and TEM *** syner.istic effect of the composite CeO2/g-C3 N4/Ag was tested for.catalytic r.duction of 4-nitr.phenol in the pr.se nce of sodium *** r.action was car.ied out at r.om tempe r.tur. without any light sour.e or.exte r.al *** individual and combined effects of four.par.meter.,viz.,concentr.tion of 4-NP,amount of catalyst,amount of NaBH4 and time for.the r.duction of r.duction 4-NP wer. investigated using Box-Behnken design of r.sponse sur.ace methodology(r.M).This statistical model was used to optimize the r.action conditions for.maximum r.duction of *** optimum conditions for.the r.duction r.action ar. found to be 0.01 mmol/L 4-NP,15 mg catalyst,20 mg NaBH4 and 13.7 min time inter.al.

The extr.ction of neodymium（III） fr.m acidic nitr.te medium was investigated using Cyanex 921 as extr.ctant in ker.sene. The metal concentr.tion in the aqueous phase befor. and after.extr.ction was deter.ined spectr.photometr.cally by Ar.enazo III method. The complete equilibr.tion was achieved in 15 r.in. The effects of shaking time, nitr.c acid concentr.tion, nitr.te concentr.tion, extr.ctant concen- tr.tion, and temper.tur. on the extr.ction wer. studied. The extr.ction of Nd（III） was found to incr.ase ver. slowly with incr.ase in concen- tr.tion of HNO3 in the r.nge of 0.001-3.008 mol/L and then decr.ased when 0.01 mol/L HNO3 was used. The per.entage of extr.ction was incr.ased with incr.ase in nitr.te concentr.tion fr.m 0.01M）.45 mol/L and then decr.ased when nitr.te concentr.tion incr.ased to 0.5 mol/L. Quantitative extr.ction of Nd（III）（98%） was obtained fr.m the aqueous phase containing 0.001 mol/L HNO3 and 0.1 mol/L KNO3 using 0.5 mol/L Cyanex 921. On the basis of slope analysis, the extr.cted complex in the or.anic phase was pr.posed to be Nd（NO3）3.2Cyanex 921. The extr.ction of Nd（III） was found to incr.ase with incr.ase in concentr.tion of metal ion in the r.nge of 0.0014）.05 mol/L fr.m 0.001 mol/L HNO3 and 0.1 mol/L KNO3 with 0.1 mol/L Cyanex 921. The per.entage of extr.ction of neodymium was found to decr.ase with in- cr.ase in temper.tur.. Fr.m temper.tur. var.ation studies, the negative value of AH indicated the extr.ction r.action to be exother.ic and the negative value of AS indicated the for.ation of a stable complex, Almost 100% Nd（III） was r.cover.d fr.m the fully loaded or.anic phase using 0.002 mol/L H2SO4 and 0.01 mol/L HCl.

Molecular.dynamics simulations have been per.or.ed to investigate the str.ctur.l,ther.al and wetting pr.per.ies of self-assembled monolayer.SAM) of alkane thiol on gold *** specific heat capacity of the gold SAM sur.ace was found to linear.y incr.ase with the temper.tur. in the r.nge 100–300 *** was found to dr.p down at 400 K and this decr.ase might be attr.buted to the disor.er.of the SAM *** of gold SAM sur.ace for.two differ.nt ter.inal gr.ups,namely methyl(hydr.phobic),and hydr.xy(hydr.philic) was studied at r.om *** differ.nce in their.wetting behavior.and the str.ctur. of their.inter.acial water.wer. examined fr.m the estimation of the z density pr.file,r.dial distr.bution function,hydr.gen bonds and or.entation of water.dipoles in the inter.acial *** pr.sent simulation r.sults suggest that the wetting behavior.of the gold SAM sur.ace can be modified by alter.ng the ter.inal functional gr.up of the SAM chains.

In this paper.a nonlinear.mathematical model is pr.posed and analyzed to study the effects of population pr.ssur. augmented industr.alization on the sur.ival of competing species dependent on *** is assumed that the gr.wths of competing species ar. logistic and car.ying capacities incr.ase with incr.ase in the density of r.sour.e ***,it is assumed that the r.sour.e biomass too is gr.wing logistically in the envi-r.nment and its car.ying capacity decr.ases with the incr.ase in densities of competing species and *** gr.wth r.te of population pr.ssur. is assumed to be pr.por.ional to the densities of competing *** of all equilibr.a and con-ditions which influence the per.anence of the system ar. car.ied out using theor. of differ.ntial *** simulations ar. per.or.ed to accomplish our.analytical *** is shown that the equilibr.um density of r.sour.e biomass decr.ases as(i)the gr.wth r.te coefficient of population pr.ssur. incr.ases(ii)the gr.wth r.te coeffi-cient of industr.alization due to population pr.ssur. incr.ases and(iii)the gr.wth r.te coefficient of industr.alization due to r.sour.e biomass *** is found that the competitive outcome alter. with incr.ase in the gr.wth r.te coefficient of population *** in the equilibr.um densities of competing species is also noted with incr.ase in the gr.wth r.te coefficient of industr.alization due to r.sour.e biomass.

Silica host matr.x containing neodymium which is potentially impor.ant for.the for.ation of nanocr.stalline metal oxides was pr.par.d by solgel method, using tetr.-ethoxysilane and Nd（NO3）3 as pr.cur.or.*** pr.par.d samples wer. changed fr.m amor.hous to nanocr.stallites phase at sinter.d temper.tur. 550 °C（4 h）, 750 °C（8 h） and 950 °C（12 h）.The ther.ally tr.ated sample micr.str.ctur.s wer. investigated using X-r.y diffr.ction（Xr.）, Four.er.tr.nsfor.ation infr.r.d spectr.scopy（FTIr., and scanning electr.n mi-cr.scopy（SEM）.While a fur.her.incr.ase of the temper.tur. at 750 °C and annealing time（8 h） r.sulted in the for.ation of cubic and hexagonal Nd2O3 *** constant sinter.ng temper.tur. 950 °C for.12 h, the samples showed shar.er.and intense *** sizes of Nd2O3 nanocr.stallites wer. char.cter.zed by Xr. with aver.ge size ～46 nm.
