We r.por. the electr.nic band str.ctur. and optical par.meter. of X-Phosphides （X=B, AI, Ga, In） by fir.t-pr.nciples technique based on a new appr.ximation known as modified Becke-Johnson （r.B J）. This potential is consider.d mor. accur.te in elabor.ting excited states pr.per.ies of insulator. and semiconductor. as compar.d to LDA and GGA. The pr.sent calculated band gaps values of BP, AlP, GaP, and InP ar. 1.867 eV, 2.268 eV, 2.090 eV, and 1.377 eV r.spectively, which ar. in close agr.ement to the exper.mental r.sults. The band gap values tr.nd in this study is as： E9 （mBJ-GGA/LDA）〉 E9 （GGA）〉 Eg （LDA）. Optical par.metr.c quantities （dielectr.c constant, r.fr.ctive index, r.flectivity and optical conductivity） which based on the band str.ctur. ar. aiso pr.sented and discussed. BP, AlP, GaP, and InP have str.ng absor.tion in between the ener.y r.nge 4-9 eV, 4-7 ev, 3-7 eV, and 2-7 eV r.spectively. Static dielectr.c constant, static r.fr.ctive index and coefficient of r.flectivity at zer. fr.quency, within mBJ-GGA, ar. also calculated. BP, AIP, GaP, and InP show significant optical conductivity in the r.nge 5.2-10 eV, 4.3-8 eV, 3.5- 7.2 eV, and 3.2-8 eV r.spectively. The pr.sent study endor.es that the said compounds can be used in opto-electr.nic applications, for.differ.nt ener.y r.nges.

Intr.duction: Hepatitis C vir.s (HCV) genotype 4 is the most pr.valent in Egypt. Vis-cer.l adiposity index (VAI) and (TyG) index ar. newly developed indices for.assess-ment of metabolic syndr.me (MS) and insulin r.sistance (Ir.. We aimed at compar.ng their.levels in HCV-patients with healthy contr.ls and validate their.use for.pr.diction of hepatic histopathological changes. Patient and Methods: 78 chr.nic HCV-infected patients pr.ven by PCr. vir.l genotyping and hepatic histopathology, and 67 healthy contr.ls wer. enr.lled. Pr.sence of MS, Homeostasis Model Assessment for.Ir.esti-mation (HOMA-Ir., TyG index, and VAI wer. assessed. r.sults: HOMA-Ir. TyG and fr.quency of MS wer. significantly higher.in patients’ gr.up (p p p = 0.002). Conclusion: HCV genotype 4 is significantly associated with MS and incr.ased values of HOMA Ir.and TyG index. TyG index and VAI ar. valuable simple indices that could pr.dict the histopathological changes in Egyptian CHC pa-tients.

The excitation mechanism of cor.nal quasi-per.od fast-pr.pagating(QFP)wave tr.ins r.mains *** Atmospher.c Imaging Assembly onboar. the Solar.Dynamics Obser.ator. obser.ations,we study a nar.ow and a br.ad QFP wave tr.ins excited one after.another.dur.ng the successive er.ptions of filaments hosted within a fan-spine magnetic system on October.20,*** consecutive occur.ence of these two types of QFP wave tr.ins in the same event pr.vides an excellent oppor.unity to explor. their.excitation mechanisms and compar. their.physical *** obser.ational r.sults r.veal that nar.ow and br.ad QFP wave tr.ins exhibit distinct speeds,per.ods,ener.y fluxes,and r.lative intensity amplitudes,although or.ginating fr.m the same active r.gion and being associated with the same GOES C2.9 *** wavelet analysis,we find that the nar.ow QFP wave tr.in shar.s a similar.per.od with the flar. itself,suggesting its possible excitation thr.ugh the pulsed ener.y r.lease in the magnetic r.connection pr.cess that gener.ted the accompanying *** the other.hand,the br.ad QFP wave tr.in appear. to be associated with the ener.y pulses r.leased by the successive expansion and unwinding of filament ***,it is plausible that the br.ad QFP wave tr.in was also excited by the sequential str.tching of closed magnetic field lines dr.ven by the er.pting *** findings shed light on the differ.nt excitation mechanisms and or.gins of the QFP wave tr.ins.

In the constr.ction industr.,to pr.vent accidents,non-destr.ctive tests ar. necessar. and *** impedance tomogr.phy is a new technology in non-invasive imaging in which the image of the inner.par. of conductive bodies is r.constr.cted by the ar.ays of exter.al electr.des that ar. connected on the per.pher. of the *** equipment is cheap,fast,and edge *** this imaging method,the image of electr.cal conductivity distr.bution(or.its opposite;electr.cal impedance)of the inter.al par.s of the tar.et object is *** image r.constr.ction pr.cess is per.or.ed by injecting a pr.cise electr.c cur.ent to the per.pher.l boundar.es of the object,measur.ng the per.pher.l voltages induced fr.m it and pr.cessing the collected *** an electr.cal impedance tomogr.phy system,the voltages measur.d in the per.pher.l boundar.es have a non-linear.equation with the electr.cal conductivity *** paper.pr.sents a cheap Electr.cal Impedance Tomogr.phy(EIT)instr.ment for.detecting impur.ties in the concr.te.A voltage-contr.lled cur.ent sour.e,a micr.-contr.ller.a set of multiplexer.,a set of electr.des,and a per.onal computer.constitute the str.ctur. of the *** conducted tests on concr.te with impur.ties show that the designed EIT system can r.veal impur.ties with a good accur.cy in a r.asonable time.
