This r.sear.h paper.pr.sents a compr.hensive discr.te element method(DEM)examination of the mixing behavior. exhibited by cohesive par.icles within a twin-paddle blender.A compar.tive analysis between the simulation and exper.mental r.sults r.vealed a r.lative er.or.of 3.47%,demonstr.ting a str.ng agr.ement between the r.sults fr.m the exper.mental tests and the DEM *** main focus center. on systematically explor.ng how oper.tional par.meter.,such as impeller.r.tational speed,blender.s fill level,and par.icle mass r.tio,influence the *** investigation also illustr.tes the significant influence of the mixing time on the mixing *** gain a deeper.under.tanding of the DEM simulation findings,an analytical tool called multivar.ate polynomial r.gr.ssion in machine lear.ing is *** method uncover. significant connections between the DEM r.sults and the oper.tional par.meter.,pr.viding a mor. compr.hensive insight into their.*** multivar.ate polynomial r.gr.ssion model exhibited r.bust pr.dictive per.or.ance,with a mean absolute per.entage er.or.of less than 3%for.both the tr.ining and validation sets,indicating a slight deviation fr.m actual *** model's pr.cision was confir.ed by low mean absolute er.or.values of 0.0144(80%of the dataset in the tr.ining set)and 0.0183(20%of the dataset in the validation set).The study offer. valuable insights into gr.nular.mixing behavior.,with implications for.enhancing the efficiency and pr.dictability of the mixing pr.cesses in var.ous industr.al applications.

This ar.icle pr.sents an extensive examination and modeling of Capacitor.Coupled Substations (CCS), noting some of their.inher.nt constr.ints. The under.ying implementation of a CCS is to supply electr.city dir.ctly fr.m high-voltage (HV) tr.nsmission lines to low-voltage (LV) consumer. thr.ugh coupling capacitor. and is said to be cost-effective as compar.d to conventional distr.bution networ.s. However. the functionality of such substations is susceptible to var.ous tr.nsient phenomena, including fer.or.sonance and over.oltage occur.ences. To addr.ss these challenges, the study uses simulations to evaluate the effectiveness of conventional r.sistor.inductor.capacitor.(r.C) filter.in mitigating hazar.ous over.oltage r.sulting fr.m tr.nsients. The pr.posed methodology entails using standar. r.C filter.to suppr.ss tr.nsients and its associated over.oltage r.sks. Thr.ugh a ser.es of MATLAB/Simulink simulations, the r.sear.h emphasizes the pr.ctical effectiveness of this technique. The study examines the impact of tr.nsients under.var.ed oper.tional scenar.os, including no-load switching conditions, tempor.r. shor.-cir.uits, and load on/off events. The pr.mar. aim of the ar.icle is to assess the viability of using an established technology to manage system instabilities upon the ener.ization of a CCS under.no-load cir.umstances or.in case of a shor.-cir.uit fault occur.ing on the pr.mar. side of the CCS distr.bution tr.nsfor.er. The findings under.cor. the effectiveness of conventional r.C filter. in suppr.ssing tr.nsients induced by the CCS no-load switching.

The glacial histor. of Pico de Or.zaba indicates that dur.ng the Last Glacial Maximum,its icecap cover.d up to~3000 m asl;due to the air.temper.tur. incr.asing,its main glacier.has r.tr.ated to 5050 m *** r.tr.ction of the glacier.has left behind an intense climatic instability that causes a high fr.quency of fr.eze-thaw cycles of gr.at intensity;the r.sulting geomor.hological pr.cesses ar. r.pr.sented by the fr.gmentation of the bedr.ck that occupies the upper.par.s of the *** is a notable lack of studies r.gar.ing the fr.gmentation and er.sion occur.ing in tr.pical high mountains,and the associated geomor.hological r.sks;for.this r.ason,as a fir.t stage of futur. continuous r.sear.h,this study analyzes the fr.ezing and thawing cycles that occur.above 4000 m asl,thr.ugh continuous monitor.ng of sur.ace gr.und *** r.sults allow us to identify and char.cter.ze four.zones:glacial,par.glacial,per.glacial and *** was found that the par.glacial zone pr.sents an intense dr.p of temper.tur.,of up to~9℃ in only sixty *** r.ck fatigue and intense fr.eze-thaw cycles that occur.in this ar.a ar. r.sponsible for.the high r.te of r.ck disintegr.tion and r.pr.sent the main factor.of the constant slope dynamics that occur.at the *** activity decr.ases,both in fr.quency and intensity,accor.ing to the distance to the glacier.which is wher. the temper.tur. pr.sents a cer.ain degr.e of stability,until r.aching the pr.glacial zone,wher. cycles ar. almost non-existent,and ther.for. ther. is no gelifr.ction *** geomor.hological pr.cesses have r.sulted in significant alter.tions to the mountain slopes,which can have sever. consequences in ter.s of r.sk and water.

Objective: Vascular.injur.es usually pr.sent immediately after.the penetr.tion, but the delayed onset of vascular.symptoms caused by vessel dissection or.aneur.sm after.a tr.umatic event is extr.mely r.r.. Ver.ebr.l ar.er. injur. is a low-fr.quency but high-mor.ality injur.. We aim to r.por. evidence of delayed onset of vascular.symptoms following penetr.ting tr.uma in the neck. Mater.als and Methods: A case r.por.. r.sults: A 19-year.old boy was r.fer.ed to our.hospital and complained of a mass in the r.ght par. of his neck (r.ght mandibular.angle). He gave a histor. of penetr.ting tr.uma to his neck 2 months ago. The mass was expanding dur.ng these 2 months and doesn’t r.spond to antibiotic ther.py. In the examination, 3 × 3 cm, fir., nonmobile, and without tender.ess and pain mass was palpated in the second level of his neck. Doctor. or.er.d a Doppler.sonogr.phy in the hospital wher. a yin-yang patter. was r.por.ed. A 36 × 43 × 40 mm heter.geneous, solid, and hypodense ar.a close to C1-C2-C3 with vascular.flow was discover.d in the r.ght submandibular.ar.a after.computed tomogr.phy (CT)-angiogr.phy. The patient was r.fer.ed to an inter.entional neur.logist for.angiogr.phy and due to the lack of flow at the distal of the V3 segment, he decided to sacr.fice this ar.er. by two coils. Conclusion: Penetr.ting neck injur.es ar. usually asymptomatic, but these injur.es ar. often accompanied by hemor.hage, neur.logical symptoms, dysphagia, odynophagia, and windpipe. Penetr.ting lesions of the ver.ebr.l ar.er. ar. r.r. and ver. difficult to diagnose. Also, these lesions ar. challenging for.sur.eons due to complex anatomy and difficult sur.ical exposur.. So, endovascular.tr.atment was used to tr.at the patient.
