A hydraulic jump is a rapid transition from supercritical flow to subcritical flow characterized by the development of large scale turbulence, surface waves, spray, energy dissipation and considerable air entrainment. Hydraulic jumps can be found in waterways such as spillways connected to hydropower plants and are an effective way to eliminate problems caused by high velocity flow, e.g. erosion. Due to the importance of the hydropower sector as a major contributor to the Swedish electricity production, the present study focuses on Smoothed particle Hydrodynamic (SpH) modelling of 2D hydraulic jumps in horizontal open channels. Four cases with different spatial resolution of the SpH particles were investigated by comparing the conjugate depth in the subcritical section with theoretical results. These showed generally good agreement with theory. The coarsest case was run for a longer time and a quasi-stationary state was achieved, which facilitated an extended study of additional variables. The mean vertical velocity distribution in the horizontal direction compared favorably with experiments and the maximum velocity for the SpH-simulations indicated a too rapid decrease in the horizontal direction and poor agreement to experiments was obtained. Furthermore, the mean and the standard deviation of the free surface fluctuation showed generally good agreement with experimental results even though some discrepancies were found regarding the peak in the maximum standard deviation. The free surface fluctuation frequencies were over predicted and the model could not capture the decay of the fluctuations in the horizontal direction.

children with urogenital malformation or bowel disturbances are a vulnerable group and are at risk of experiencing ill health. At school they have to face and cope with situations they are unused to and often feel excluded. There is a lack of studies investigating prevention of ill health in this group of children. Objective: The aim of the study was to investigate the health/well-being and self-esteem, before and after a one-year intervention comprising person-centred, web-based learning support, in preschool children born with malformations in the urethra, bladder, genitals and/or bowel. Study design: Nine boys and one girl participated, aged 3 - 7 years (study group) with diagnoses of epispadia, bladder exstrophy, urethra valves and Hirschprung’s disease. Two questionnaires were used, developed to measure index of health/wellbeing and self-esteem in younger children. In the study group, the interviews were repeated after one year. The group was compared with a control group of 20 healthy, age-matched children. results: before the intervention, there were no differences in wellbeing (children condition index) between the study group and the control group. One year after the start of the web-based preschool, wellbeing in the study group had slightly improved, but not significantly compared to before the intervention. No significant difference was found compared to the control group. When measured self-esteem (I think I am) before the intervention, the study group had significantly better self-esteem compared to the control group. One year later, there was a slight improvement in self-esteem, but two children scored worse in the domain psychological wellbeing. In comparison with the group of healthy children, the self-esteem in the study group was better for total sum (p = 0.0002). Discussion: Wellbeing and self-esteem seem to be good in children aged 3 - 7 years with uro-genital and bowel malformations, according to the findings of this study. This is better than r

GaSb-based nanowires in a gate-all-around geometry are good candidates for binary p-type transistors,however they require the introduction of compressive strain to enhance the transport ***,we for the first time demonstrate epitaxial GaSb-GaASxSb1-x core-shell nanowires with a compressively strained *** axial and hydrostatic strain in GaSb core have been measured by X-ray diffraction(XrD)and raman scattering,*** optimal sample,almost without plastic relaxation,has an axial strain of-0.88%and a hydrostatic strain of-1.46%,leading to a noticeable effect where the light hole band is calculated to be 33.4 meV above the heavy hole band at the *** valence band feature offers more light holes to contribute the transport process,and thus may provide enhanced hole mobility by reducing both the interband scattering and the hole effective *** results show that lattice-mismatched epitaxial core-shell heterostructures of high quality can also be realized in the promising yet demanding GaSb-based system.

This research investigates a numerical simulation of swirling turbulent non-premixed *** effects on the combustion characteristics are examined with three turbulence models:namely as the reynolds stress model,spectral turbulence analysis and re-Normalization *** addition,the p-1 and discrete ordinate(DO)models are used to simulate the radiative heat transfer in this *** governing equations associated with the required boundary conditions are solved using the numerical *** accuracy of this model is validated with the published experimental data and the comparison elucidates that there is a reasonable agreement between the obtained values from this model and the corresponding experimental *** different models proposed in this research,the reynolds stress model with the probability Density Function(pDF)approach is more accurate(nearly up to 50%)than other turbulent models for a swirling flow *** the effect of radiative heat transfer model,it is observed that the discrete ordinate model is more precise than the p-1 model in anticipating the experimental *** model is able to simulate the subcritical nature of the isothermal flow as well as the size and shape of the internal recirculation induced by the swirl due to combustion.

目的　探讨肝移植受者白细胞介素 10 (IL 10 )基因多态性与急性排斥反应的关系。方法　应用pcr限制性片段长度多态性分析法 ,检测 12 2例肝移植受者IL 10基因启动子的 2个多态位点 - 10 82和 - 5 92的各种基因型的分布 ,并分析它们与急性排斥反应的关系。结果　IL 10 - 5 92位点 ,A/A ,c/A ,c/c等基因型间的急性排斥反应发生率分别为 16.7%,19%,2 9%,相互比较 ,差异不显著 (p >0 .0 5 ) ;IL 10 - 10 82位点 ,尽管G/G基因型的急性排斥反应发生率 ( 3 3 %)高于A/A型( 18%) ,但差异仍不显著 (p >0 .0 5 )。结论　IL 10基因多态性与肝移植受者术后急性排斥反应无确切关系。

This review examines glioma disease initiation,promotion,and progression with a focus on the cell types present within the tumor mass and the molecules responsible for the immunosuppressive microenvironment that are present at each step of the *** cell types and molecules present also correlate with the grade of *** overall“type 2”chronic inflammatory microenvironment develops that facilitates glioma promotion and contributes to the neo-vascularization characteristic of *** immunosuppressive microenvironment shields the tumor mass from clearance by the patient’s own immune ***,we provide suggestions to deal with a chronically-inflamed tumor microenvironment and provide recommendations to help optimize adjuvant immune-and gene therapies currently offered to glioma patients.
