For fish farming,water is the limiting factor for good *** characteristics determine the health and the productivity of the fish and can indicate possible problems arising in the *** present study aimed to verify the nictemeral and vertical dynamics of limnological characteristics in a tilapia farming tank coated with geomembrane and with low water *** were carried out in a 24 hour on period of 18 days with an interval of three hours between the water *** order to determine the vertical dynamics,water samples were taken at three depths(5,35,and 70 cm)in the central region of the *** was found that the parameters analyzed showed changes in the *** oxygen and pH changed sharply in the 24-hour period(p$respect to the three layers of the tank,the difference between the values of dissolved oxygen in the epilimnion and the metalimnion(above 14 mg L$^{-1}$)is clear,while in the hypolimnion the concentration of this oxygen was 7.57 mg L$^{-1}$(p$rite and phosphorus had similar behavior,with more pronounced values in *** is a strong correlation between temperature and depth of the tank($r=-0.85,~p=5.86\times 10^{-9}$),depth and dissolved oxygen($r=-0.77,p=9.97\times 10^{-6}$),temperature and ammonia($r=-0.82,~p=6.33\times 10^{-8}$),depth and ammonia($r=0.79,~p=4.79\times 10^{-7}$),and nitrite and dissolved oxygen($r=-0.72,~p=2.15\times 10^{-4}$).The principal component analysis showed that there was a separation between the strata epilimnion,metalimnion,and *** response surface analysis showed the interaction between depth,temperature and the variables dissolved oxygen,ammonia,and *** result of this study helps to illustrate the dynamics of a tilapia tank covered with geomembrane and low water renewal ove

BACKGrOUND The evaluation of periportal fibrosis(PPF)is essential for a prognostic assessment of patients with Schistosomiasis *** WHO Niamey Protocol defines patterns of fibrosis from abdominal ultrasonography,^(1)H-nuclear magnetic resonance(NMr)-based metabonomics has been employed to assess liver fibrosis in some *** To build 1H-NMr-based metabonomics models(MM)to discriminate mild from significant periportal PPF and identify differences in the metabolite *** A prospective cross-sectional study was performed on schistosomiasis patients at a University Hospital in Northeastern *** evaluated 41 serum samples from 10 patients with mild PPF(C Niamey pattern)and 31 patients with significant PPF(D/E/F Niamey patterns).MM were built using partial least squares-discriminant analysis(PLS-DA)and orthogonal projections to latent structures discriminant analysis(OPLS-DA)*** PLS-DA and OPLS-DA resulted in discrimination between mild and significant PPF groups with r2 and Q2 values of 0.80 and 0.38 and 0.72 and 0.42 for each model,*** OPLS-DA model presented accuracy,sensitivity,and specificity values of 92.7%,90.3%,and 100%to discriminate significant *** metabolites identified as responsible by discrimination were:Nacetylglucosamines,alanine,glycolaldehyde,carbohydrates,and *** MMs discriminated mild from significant PPF patterns in patients with Schistosomiasis mansoni through identification of differences in serum metabolites profiles.

Drought stress is major abiotic stress that affects soybean ***,it is widely desirable that soybean becomes more tolerant to *** provide insights into regulatory mechanisms of the stress response,we compared the global gene expression profiles from leaves of two soybean genotypes that display different responses to water-deficit(Br 16 and Embrapa 48,drought-sensitive and droughttolerant,respectively).After the rNA-seq analysis,a total of 5335 down-regulated and 3170 up-regulated genes were identified in the *** the other hand,the number of genes differentially expressed was markedly lower in the Embrapa 48,355 up-regulated and 471 down-regulated ***,induction and expression of protein kinases and transcription factors indicated signaling cascades involved in the drought ***,the results suggest that the metabolism of pectin is differently modulated in response to drought stress and may play a role in the soybean defense mechanism against *** occurs via an increase of the cell wall plasticity and crosslink,which contributed to a higher hydraulic conductance(Kf)and relative water content(rWC%).The drought-tolerance mechanism of the Embrapa 48 genotype involves remodeling of the cell wall and increase of the hydraulic conductance to the maintenance of cell turgor and metabolic processes,resulting in the highest leaf rWC,photosynthetic rate(A),transpiration(E)and carboxylation(A/Ci).Thus,we concluded that the cell wall adjustment under drought is important for a more efficient water use which promoted a more active photosynthetic metabolism,maintaining higher plant growth under drought stress.

PV Characterization System Outdoors—Case Study in Brazil

Photovoltaic modules (PV) are tested in the industry in standard conditions and their characteristics are given in the datasheet. After installation on the site, its performance is not evaluated separately of the other parts of the PV generator. Nevertheless some discrepancies of the expected generation and the measured ones are verified. To deal with these discrepancies it is worth characterizing the module on the site and acquire data in an easy and inexpensive way. This paper presents a proposed characterization system as well as its application. A module test was performed on a site located in Brazil. At these latitudes it is common to have high amount of ultraviolet components. The characterization system measures separately the ultraviolet component, as well as the visible and global irradiations. The results obtained are analyzed and the effect of the UV variation is observed, proving the importance of doing this characterization on site after implementation of the PV system.

We report on the bromatological profile,the preliminary phytochemical composition,the antioxidant capacity,and the in vitro neuroprotective effects of Blackberry Jam *** were the major macronutrients(20 g/100 g)in both pulp and seeds(36.5 g/100g),that also possess a low lipid content(0.1 g/100 g and 0.7 g/100,and 86 Kcal/100 g,respectively).Eleven compounds including a diterpenoid dimmer,a lactone,coumarins,sphingosines,and flavonoids have been identified for the first time in the pulp and seeds of *** by mass *** electrochemical index of the hydroalcoholic extract of the pulp(BJFp respectively)and an appreciable energy value(89 Kcal/100 g)was around 6.8μA/V and two reversible cathode peaks were observed up to 0.5 V,thus shedding light to its antioxidant capacity,which was also evidenced by the DPPH•and ABTS+radical scavenging assays(IC50 of 3.30±0.23μg/mL and 18.17±1.21μg/mL,respectively).The BJFp protected against oxidative stress in vitro by significantly decreasing both the lipid peroxidation and contents of carbonyl proteins in a dose-dependent manner in murine brain cells treated with ***,the BJFp increased the superoxide dismutase(EC50 of 11.99±0.35μg/mL)and catalase(EC50 of 69.53±0.43μg/mL)*** BJFp markedly decreased both the in vitro acetylcholinesterase(IC50 of 227.9±0.34μg/mL)and butyrylcholinesterase(IC50 of 8.77±0.40μg/mL)***,besides being a great source of energy,this Amazon superfruit may be promising for enhancing the treatment outcomes of ailments related to oxidative stress,which require further in vivo investigation.

Microcosm Study： Effect of Fe（II） Addition in Sawdust for Phosphorous recovery from Eutrophic Aquatic Ecosystems

The recovery of phosphorus in eutrophic water bodies adsorption in sawdust can be promoted by Fe（III） oxide-hydroxides is important to ensure water and food security, phosphorus biofllms. The main objective of this study was to analyze the influence of iron addition in sawdust on phosphorus adsorption. The microcosm experiment was performed with water and sediment samples from a eutrophic reservoir located in Barra Bonita/SP. Three control flasks （without bags） and 18 others as treatments （with two bags filled with sawdust, with or without previous Fe（II） addition） were assembled. The addition of iron did not promote greater phosphorus adsorption, the sawdust without previous iron addition had a total phosphorus concentration of 49μg·P·g^-1, while the sawdust with previous iron addition had 14.4μg.p.g^-1. The use of sawdust for the remediation of eutrophic water bodies is interesting, especially considering the low-cost and possibility of reuse as fertilizer in agriculture.

“If We Only Knew How You Feel”—A Comparative Study of Automated vs. Manual Classification of Opinions of Customers on Digital Media

The Web development has drastically changed the human interaction and communication, leading to an exponential growth of data generated by users in various digital media. This mass of data provides opportunities for understanding people’s opinions about products, services, processes, events, political movements, and organizational strategies. In this context, it becomes important for companies to be able to assess customer satisfaction about their products or services. One of the ways to evaluate customer sentiment is the use of Sentiment Analysis, also known as Opinion Mining. This research aims to compare the efficiency of an automatic classifier based on dictionary with the classification by human jurors in a set of comments made by customers in Portuguese language. The data consist of opinions of service users of one of the largest Brazilian online employment agencies. The performance evaluation of the classification models was done using Kappa index and a Confusion Matrix. As the main finding, it is noteworthy that the agreement between the classifier and the human jurors came to moderate, with better performance for the dictionary-based classifier. This result was considered satisfactory, considering that the Sentiment Analysis in Portuguese language is a complex task and demands more research and development.

To evaluate the anti-inflammatory intestinal effect of the ethanolic extract (EtOHE) and hexane phase (HexP) obtained from the leaves of Combretum duarteanum (Cd).METHODSInflammatory bowel disease was induced using trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid in acute and relapsed ulcerative colitis in rat models. Damage scores, and biochemical, histological and immunohistochemical parameters were *** Cd-EtOHE and Cd-HexP caused significant reductions in macroscopic lesion scores and ulcerative lesion areas. The vegetable samples inhibited myeloperoxidase increase, as well as pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-1β. Anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 also increased in animals treated with the tested plant samples. The anti-inflammatory intestinal effect is related to decreased expression of cyclooxygenase-2, proliferating cell nuclear antigen, and an increase in superoxide *** data indicate anti-inflammatory intestinal activity. The effects may also involve participation of the antioxidant system and principal cytokines relating to inflammatory bowel disease.

Neglected tropical diseases are a group of tropical diseases endemic in poor countries even though medical treatment and cures are available. They are considered a global health problem due to the severity of the physiological changes they induce in their hosts. Malaria is a disease caused by Plasmodium sp. that in its cerebral form may lead to acute or long-term neurological deficits, even with effective antimalarial therapy, causing vascular obstruction, reduced cerebral blood flow and many other changes. However, Plasmodium falciparum infection can also develop into a cerebral malaria(CM) disease that can produce neurological damage. This review will discuss the mechanisms involved in the neuropathology caused by CM, focusing on alterations in cognitive, behavior and neurological functions in human and experimental models.

This work describes a simple yet powerful scalable solution chemistry strategy to create back‐contact rich interfaces between substrates such as commercial transparent conducting fluorine‐doped tin oxide coated glass(FTO)and photoactive thin films such as hematite for low‐cost water oxidation ***‐resolution electron microscopy(SEM,TEM,STEM),atomic force microscopy(AFM),elemental chemical mapping(EELS,EDS)and photoelectrochemical(PEC)investigations reveal that the mechanical stress,lattice mismatch,electron energy barrier,and voids between FTO and hematite at the back‐contact interface as well as short‐circuit and detrimental reaction between FTO and the electrolyte can be alleviated by engineering the chemical composition of the precursor solutions,thus increasing the overall efficiency of these low‐cost photoanodes for water oxidation reaction for a clean and sustainable generation of hydrogen from PEC water‐*** findings are of significant importance to improve the charge collection efficiency by minimizing electron‐hole recombination observed at back‐contact interfaces and grain boundaries in mesoporous electrodes,thus improving the overall efficiency and scalability of low‐cost PEC water splitting devices.
