A prominent feature of modern electrochemical technologies, such as fuel cells, water electrolysis, and CO2electrolysis, is to employ polyelectrolytes instead of liquid electrolytes. This shift not only mitigates risks like corrosion and leaks associated with liquid electrolytes, but also facilitates the construction of zero-gap membrane electrode assembly（mEA） devices. In the mEA setups, the anode and cathode are tightly pressed against a micron-thick polyelectrolyte membrane, which can significantly reduce internal resistance and enhance energy conversion efficiency. Electrocatalysis forms the scientific bedrock underpinning these electrochemical technologies.

Background:No studies have documented long-term trends in aboveground biomass(AGB)for mixed-dipterocarp forests(mDF),the dominant rain forest type in tropical wet equatorial *** our study,we sought to document such trends over forty years across three sites representing lowland to lower montane ***:To do this,we established fifty 100 m×25 m plots in 1978 across three sites sampled along an elevation gradient,identified as mature old-growth *** measured trees for diameter at breast height that we identified to species and *** took wood samples to calculate species wood-specific *** re-measured plots in 1998 and again in ***:We show standing AGB for all sites combined to be 517.52 mg·ha^(-1)in 1978,but this declined by 17%over 40 years to 430.11 mg·ha^(-1).No differences exist among sites in AGB primarily because of considerable within site variation;but interactions of time with site show declines across sites were not uniform,one remained about the *** few species represented a high proportion of the AGB with the top five species comprising between 34%and 65%,depending upon site and year *** species,mesua nagassarium,represented a disproportionately large amount of AGB and decline over time,particularly at the low elevation ***:Our results are directly relevant to estimating AGB and standing carbon sequestered in *** study is the first to demonstrate varying but overall,declining trends in amounts of AGB among forests making predictions of biomass and standing carbon in mDF difficult over wide regions.

metastasis accounts for the major cause of colorectal cancer(CrC)related mortality due to the lack of effective *** this study,we integrated the single-cell rNA-seq(sc rNA-seq)and bulk rNA-seq data and identified the transcriptional coactivator SUB1 homolog(SacSaccharomyces cerevisiae)/PC4(positive cofactor 4)associated with CrC *** SUB1 expression was correlated with advanced tumor stage and poor survival in *** vivo and vitro assays showed that SUB1 depletion could inhibit the invasive and metastatic abilities of CrC ***1 activated NF-κB signaling and its transcriptional target genes CXCL1 and CXCL3 to drive CrC ***,SUB1 integrated with the E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase UBr5 and increased its protein level in CrC ***,the increased UBr5mainly mediated Lys11-linked polyubiquitination and degradation of NF-κB negative regulator UBXN1,thus to activate the NF-κB ***,our study demonstrated that SUB1 promoted CrC progression by modulating UBr5/UBXN1 and activating NF-κB signaling,providing a new therapeutic strategy for treating metastatic CrC through targeting SUB1.

retinitis pigmentosa(rP)is a group of genetic disorders characterized by progressive degeneration of photoreceptors and retinal pigment epithelium(rPE)*** main clinical manifestations include night blindness and progressive loss of peripheral vision,making it a prevalent debilitating eye disease that significantly impacts patients’quality of *** exhibits significant phenotypic and genetic *** instance,numerous abnormal genes are implicated in rP,resulting in varying clinical presentations,disease progression rates,and pathological characteristics among different ***,gene therapy for rP poses challenges due to these ***,stem cells have garnered considerable attention in the field of rPE therapy since both rPE cells and photoreceptors can be derived from stem *** recent years,a large number of animal experiments and clinical trials based on stem cell transplantation attempts,especially cord blood mesenchymal stem cell(mSC)transplantation and bone marrow-derived mSC transplantation,have confirmed that stem cell therapy can effectively and safely improve the outer retinal function of the rP-affected ***,stem cell therapy also has certain limitations,such as the fact that rP patients may involve multiple types of retinal cytopathia,which brings great challenges to stem cell transplantation therapy,and further research is needed to solve various problems faced by this approach in the *** comprehensive analysis of the etiology and histopathological changes associated with rP,this study substantiates the efficacy and safety of stem cell therapy based on rigorous animal experimentation and clinical trials,while also highlighting the existing limitations that warrant further investigation.

Organic electrode materials are promising for ***,the reported organic electrodes are often facing the challenges of low specific capacity,low voltage,poor rate capability and vague charge storage mechanisms,*** are good platform to investigate the charge storage mechanisms and enhance the performance of batteries,which,however,have not been focused in ***,two isomers are reported for *** a result,the isomer tetrathiafulvalene(TTF)could store two monovalent anions reversibly,deriving an average discharge voltage of 1.05 V and a specific capacity of 220 mAh g−1 at a current density of 2 *** the other hand,the other isomer tetrathianaphthalene could only reversibly store one monovalent anion and upon further oxidation,it would undergo an irreversible solid-state molecular rearrangement to *** molecular rearrangement was confirmed by electrochemical performances,X-ray diffraction patterns,nuclear magnetic resonance spectra,and 1H detected heteronuclear multiple bond correlation *** results suggested the small structural change could lead to a big difference in anion storage,and we hope this work will stimulate more attention to the structural design for boosting the performance of organic batteries.

Presented here is a one-pot strategy starting from rationally designed macrocyclic precursors for the diverse construction of sophisticated *** type and amount of the base were found to significantly influence the macrocyclization *** use of 4.0 *** resulted in ultracycles of both types A and B while the presence of CsF larger than 6.0 *** only type B *** of anion template increased the total yields and affected the distribution of the *** ultracycles can accommodate large organic dicarboxylates anions via multiple anion-πand hydrogen bonds,and show selectivity to the size-matched heptanedioate(C7^(2−)).Based on all possible species and relevant equilibrium constants as well as material and charge balances,a numerical iterative algorithm was developed and applied to fit the association constants of B2H with dicarboxylates from glutarate(C5^(2−))to octanedioate(C8^(2−)),which gave association constants up to 10^(3) L/mol.

This paper investigates region tracking and perimeter surveillance of second-order multi-agent systems, where all agents move within a star-shaped set. First, by coordination transformations,the region tracking problem is converted from the star-shaped sets to a circular region. The authors employ communication and collaboration to complete region tracking and perimeter surveillance tasks,and then revert back to the star-shaped set by using inverse transformations. Second, the authors propose a distributed control strategy based on attractive and interaction potential functions, under which all agents can quickly track a given circular region and move around the perimeter. Finally,the authors validate the effectiveness and performance advantages of the proposed method through simulation experiments.
