Magnetic nanowires(NWs)are ideal materials for the fabrication of various multifunctional nanostructures which can be manipulated by an external magnetic fi *** crystalline and textured nanowires of nickel(Ni NWs)and cobalt(Co NWs)with high aspect ratio(~330)and high coercivity have been synthesized by electrodeposition using nickel sulphate hexahydrate(NiSO_(4)·6H_(2)O)and cobalt sulphate heptahydrate(CoSO_(4)·7H_(2)O)respectively on nanoporous alumina *** exhibit a preferential growth along〈110〉.A general mobility assisted growth mechanism for the formation of Ni and Co NWs is *** role of the hydration layer on the resulting one-dimensional geometry in the case of potentiostatic electrodeposition is verified.A very high interwire interaction resulting from magnetostatic dipolar interactions between the nanowires is *** unusual low-temperature magnetisation switching for fi eld parallel to the wire axis is evident from the peculiar high fi eld M(T)curve.

The results of the investigation of the magnetic and structural properties of the alloy system Fe0.75–xSi0.25Sbx, where x = 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, and 0.25 synthesized by mechanical alloying followed by heat treatment are described. The x-ray diffraction reveals that all samples crystallize in the DO3-type cubic phase structure. Substituting Fe by Sb led to a decrease in the lattice constant and the unit cell volume. The magnetic properties are investigated by vibrating sample magnetometer and show that all the samples are ferromagnetically ordered at room temperature. The Curie temperature is found to decrease linearly from (850 ± 5) K for the parent alloy to (620 ± 5) K for the alloyith x = 0.25. The saturation magnetizations at room temperature and at 100 K are found to decrease with increasing the antimony concentration. The above results indicate that Sb dissolves in the cubic structure of this alloy system.

This work is a follow-up to our previous work[2].It extends and complements,both theoretically and experimentally,the results presented *** consideration is the homogenization of a model of a weakly random heterogeneous *** material consists of a reference periodic material randomly perturbed by another periodic material,so that its homogenized behavior is close to that of the reference *** consider laws for the random perturbations more general than in[2].We prove the validity of an asymptotic expansion in a certain class of *** also extend the formal approach introduced in[2].Our perturbative approach shares common features with a defect-type theory of solid state *** computational efficiency of the approach is demonstrated.

Objective:To evaluate the antibacterial activity of Halophila stipulacea(***), Cymodocea serrulata(***) and Halodule pinifolia(***) against seven human bacterial ***:The antibacterial activities of the extracts on the various test organisms using disc diffusion method and Minimum Inhibitory Concentraction(MIC).results: Methanol and chloroform extracts of all the three seagrasses were active against all the tested pathogens,whereas the hexane extract of seagrasses was not active against Staphylococcus aureus (***).Antibacterial activity of three seagrass screened,was in the order of *** > ***.> ***:This antibacterial studies can further investigated on seagrasses for purification of bioactive substance and its possible utility in disease control.

Objective:To search for new sources of safe and inexpensive antioxidants,the leaf,root and rhizome of Enhalus acoroides(***) were screened for the first time for their antioxidant ***:Samples of leaf,root and rhizome from *** were tested for total phenolic content,proanthocyanidins and in vitro antioxidant activity in terms of total antioxidant assay,DPPH assay and FrAP ***:The leaf sample was found to have high levels of phenolic(0.323±0.028 mg TAE/g) and proanthocyanidins(0.570 0±0.000 3 mg TAE/g) when compared to root and *** leaf samples exhibited higher total antioxidant activity (11.770±0.026 mg Ascorbic acid equivalent/g),higher percentage of DPPH radical scavenging activity(25.76±0.04) and higher reducing power(18.060±0.073) in terms of mg GAE/*** addition, there was a significant correlation between total phenolic content and total antioxidant activity (r^2=0.923),DPPH assay(r^2=0.509).FrAP assay(r^2=0.994).Similarly,significant correlation was found between the proanthocyanidin and total antioxidant activity(r^2=0.977),DPPH assay (r^2=0.464) and the FrAP assay(r^2=0.998).Conclusions:These results suggested that *** have strong antioxidant *** study is necessary for isolation and characterization of the active antioxidant agents,which can be used to treat various oxidative stress-related diseases.

Objective:To investigate the protective effects of brown alga Padina boergesenii（***） against carbon tetrachloride（CCl4） induced oxidative damage and liver fibrosis in ***: To assess the hepatic damage liver weight,the activities of TBArS level,glutathione,SOD,CAT and GPx in circulation and ***:The group of rats induced with CCl4 alone（2 mL/kg body weight）,showed noticeable increase in the liver weight and TBArS *** by, the level of antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase,Superoxide dismutase and catalase was also significantly（Prats pretreated with ***（150 mg/ kg body weight） modulated the CCl4 induced liver *** level of antioxidant enzymes and lipid peroxidation products was found to be significandy（Pr normal level, when compared with rats induced with CCL,*** order to assess the role of carotenoids in the relevant activity,total carotenoid content of the extract was analysed and found to be 0.59 mg/g fresh weight（FW）.Further,the histopathogical studies provide a supportive evidence for this study to show the protective nature of ***:The protective role of brown alga *** extract has confirmed its potential activity through its antioxidant sparing actions against CCl4 induced free radical ***,the possible mechanism of hepatoprotection is rather speculative at this stage and investigations are underway to isolate and characterize the bioactive compounds from ***.

The division of organisms on the Tree of Life into either a three-domain(3D)tree or a two-domain(2D)tree has been disputed for a long *** since the discovery of Archaea by Carl Woese in 1977 using 16S ribosomal rNA sequence as the evolutionary marker,there has been a great advance in our knowledge of not only the growing diversity of Archaea but also the evolutionary relationships between different lineages of living ***,we present this perspective to summarize the progress of archaeal diversity and changing notion of the Tree of ***,we provide the latest progress in genomics/physiology-based discovery of Asgard archaeal lineages as the closest relative of ***,we propose three major directions for future research on exploring the“next one”closest Eukaryote relative,deciphering the function of archaeal eukaryotic signature proteins and eukaryogenesis from both genomic and physiological aspects,and understanding the roles of horizontal gene transfer,viruses,and mobile elements in eukaryogenesis.
