The phylogeny and systematics of cordycipitoid fungi have been extensively studied in the last two ***,systematic positions of some taxa in the family Cordycipitaceae have not yet been thoroughly *** this study,a new phylogenetic framework of Cordycipitaceae is reconstructed using multigene(nrSSU,nrLSU,tef-1α,rpb1 and rpb2)sequence data with large-scale taxon *** addition,ITS sequence data of species belonging to the Lecanicillium lineage in the family Cordycipitaceae are used to further determine their phylogenetic *** on molecular phylogenetic data together with morphological evidence,two new genera(Flavocillium and Liangia),16 new species and four new combina-tions are *** the new genus Flavocillium,one new species *** and three new combinations previously described as Lecanicillium,namely ***,*** and ***,are *** genus Liangia is built by the new species *** with Lecanicillium-like asexual morph,isolated from an entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria *** to the absence of Paecilomyces hepiali,an economically and medically significant fungus,in the earlier phylogenetic analyses,its systematic position has been puzzling in both business and academic communities for a long ***,*** is recharacterized using the holotype material along with seven additional *** is assigned to the genus Samsoniella(Cordycipitaceae,Hypocreales)possessing Cordyceps-like sexual morph and Isaria-like asexual morph,and thus a new combination,namely *** is *** additional nine new species in Samsoniella are described:***,***,***,***,***,***,***,*** and *** new species in Cordyceps are described:***,***,*** and *** yunnanense,isolated from synnemata of Akanthomyces waltergamsii,is described as a new species.

Effect of Fish Meal (Low Value) as a Nutrient Source in Combination with Inorganic Fertilizer to Enhance the Algal Development in Fertilizer Pond

To study an application of low-value fishmeal (i.e. organic manure) and the effect of different nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) ratios (N/Ps) to the composition of algae prevailing in fertilized ponds for culturing Artemia. Phytoplankton composition and their abundance were determined through qualitative and quantitative sampling and analyses. The experiment included five treatments, control treatment using chicken manure (300 g/m^3), the others with fishmeal in different rates (i.e. 30 g/m^3, 60 g/m^3, 90 g/m^3, 120 g/m^3) with 3 replicates each and in a combination with inorganic fertilizer. Result indicated that the algal density of the experiment varied from 318 × 10^3 to 2,590 × 10^3 cells/mL and a significant difference among treatments (p < 0.05). The density of algae at the second treatment (30 g/m^3) is the highest with a mean density of 2,590 × 10^3 cells/mL. There are 38 phytoplankton species belonging to five phyla of algae, i.e. Bacillariophyta, Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta, Dinophyta and Euglenophyta. Also, there are 18 species of Bacillariophyta, 14 species of Chlorophyta, 4 species of Cyanophyta, 1 species of Dinophyta and 1 species of Euglenophyta. Algae compositions were 32, 34, 31, 27 species at control treatment, and 30 g/m^3, 60 g/m^3, 90 g/m^3, 120 g/m^3 fishmeal treatments, respectively. The dominant genus was usually Nitzschia, Thalassiosira, Navicula (Bacillariophyta), Tetraselmis (Chlorophyta), Oscillatoria (Cyanophyta), Euglena (Euglenophyta). Euglena usually appeared in the late phase of the experiment.

Compliance of Documentation Transfer Pricing Requirements in Foreign Direct Investment Enterprises in Vietnam

The increase of inter-boundary transactions brings a number of benefits for enterprises. However, even when benefits of transfer pricing are evident, multinational organizations still face legal challenges, including performing parts of transactions in another jurisdiction and motives of tax officials in investigating transfer pricing. This is especially true when countries do not want to lose benefits from tax collection. Therefore, many countries and organizations such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Pacific Association of Tax Administrators (PATA), the European Union (EU), and Vietnam have introduced requirements for transfer pricing documentation to prevent transfer pricing manipulation and maintain benefits from taxes. The aim of this research was to assess the compliance of those requirements of foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises in Vietnam. This article which is a summary of our research includes the following sections: (1) OECD guidelines of transfer pricing documentation; (2) Vietnam regulations of transfer pricing documentation; (3) results of the research; and (4) discussion and conclusion.

Vegetation Biomass of Sargassum Meadows in An Chan Coastal Waters,Phu Yen Province,Vietnam Derived from PlanetScope Image

SW(Seaweed)is a valuable coastal resource for its use in food,cosmetics,medicine and other *** this study,PS(PlanetScope)imagery was combined with field sampling to demonstrate the capability of mapping of SAV(Submerge Aquatic Vegetation)(including both SW and SG(Seagrass)beds)and biomass mapping of Sargassum meadows in An Chan coastal waters,Tuy An district,Phu Yen province,*** term of SAV and Sargassum mapping,authors proposed an improved remote sensing technique based on Sagawa’s BRI(Bottom Reflectance Index)algorithm with attention to Tassan’s concept in discrimination of light attenuation coefficient Kd between shallow and deep ***’results showed high accuracy in mapping of SAV and Sargassum distribution with overall accuracy and Kappa coefficient of 92.52%and 0.8957,*** classified class of SW(*** sp.)then was separated absolutely from other classes in SAV map for estimation of Sargassum *** red and green spectral pre-processed BRI channels(***3 and BRI2)of PS were used to estimate the Sargassum biomass using a multiple 2nd order polynomial regression model with very high accuracy(R2=0.9707;RMSE=±109.21 g/m2).The average total Sargassum biomass was 897.8 g/m2 with total Sargassum yield in whole region reaching a value of 449.57 tons in cover area of 50.32 ha of Sargassum *** result opens the great potential of biomass and yield estimation of Sargassum and other SW meadows in coastal waters(including enough optically deep waters)by remote sensing techniques based on PS imagery.

Development of an integrated modeling system for improved multi-objective reservoir operation

Reservoir is an efficient way for flood control and improving all sectors related to water resources in the integrated water resources ***,multiobjective reservoir plays a significant role in the development of a country’s economy especially in developing *** multi-objective reservoirs have conflicts and disputes in flood control and water use,which makes the operator a great challenge in the decision of reservoir *** improved multi-objective reservoir operation,an integrated modeling system has been developed by incorporating a global optimization system(SCE-UA)into a distributed biosphere hydrological model(WEB-DHM)coupled with the reservoir routing *** new integrated modeling system has been tested in the Da River subbasin of the Red River and showed the capability of reproducing observed reservoir inflows and optimizing the multi-objective reservoir ***,the WEB-DHM was calibrated for the inflows to the Hoa Binh Reservoir in the Da ***,the WEB-DHM coupled with the reservoir routing module was tested by simulating the reservoir water level,when using the observed dam outflows as the reservoir ***,the new integrated modeling system was evaluated by optimizing the operation rule of the Hoa Binh Reservoir from 1 June to 28 July 2006,which covered the annual largest flood *** using the optimal rule for the reservoir operation,the annual largest flood peak at downstream control point(Ben ngoc station)was successfully reduced(by about 2.4 m for water level and 2500 m^(3)·s^(-1) for discharge);while after the simulation periods,the reservoir water level was increased by about 20 m that could supply future water use.

BACTERIAL ENDOCARDITIS:NATURAL HISTORY AND VALVULAR INVOLVEMENT

A total of 92 patients with baetenal endocarditis (BE) were treatedduring 1/1995-5/1998.48 patients were intravenous drug addicts (ID)(52.2%).The averase age of ID patients was 30.48+/-6.06 *** had been using drugs for more than 6 months (79.3%).Thevegetations were located mainly in the left heart (90.9%).All the casesof BE in ID patients occured in native *** were foundbetween non-ID (NID) and ID with regard to heart failure in ID (62.5%versus 16%) and to cerebral vascular accidents (25% versus 13%).Positive blood cultures were significantly more frequent in ID (95.5%)versus NID (44.4%).Streptoccocal D infections were predominant in ID(56.8%) and Streptococcal alpha infections in NID patients (44.4%),thedifference being statistically *** hospital mortality rate wassimilar in both groups,18.7% and 18.2% in ID and NID *** were no surgical interventions in the ID ***:In an area with high prevalence of rheumatic valvular diseasethe incidence of bacterial endocarditis in ID and NID showed difference *** there were no surgery in the ID group,the short termmortality was *** is a need to investigate the clinical benefit ofvalvular replacement end the survival of the ID and NID patients,in an areawhere resources are limited.

Assessment of Salinity Intrusion in the Red River under the Effect of Climate Change

This paper focuses on analysis of salinity distribution along Red River and its main branches to determine and limit effects of salinity intrusion under variable scenarios for outlet discharge from upstream reservoirs and the tidal magnitude under global climate change effects. The effect of outlet discharge from upstream reservoirs, which generates flow in droughty months, is considered as upstream input condition for salinity intrusion. The sea level rising phenomenon is represented by scenarios according to prediction of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The lateral flow and the rainfall in dry season are neglected in the process of simulation. MIKE 11, 1D river model software by DHI (Danish Hydraulic Institute), is used to simulate the processes of salt water intrusion from the river mouths to the upstream of the river in consideration the effect of the Sea Level Rise phenomenon and the operation of existing reservoirs and those under construction. The results indicate that salinity intrusion length from river mouth depends on the estuary characteristics, discharges from upper reservoirs and tidal phases (low and high tides). With the safe salinity concentration for agriculture and livestock is 4 psu, the study shows that the length of intruded salt in Red River is about 40km from the river mouth, in otherwise, the effect of salinity intrusion in Thai Binh river is negligible. The Sea Level Rise phenomenon has inconsiderable affects on salinity intrusion processes in Red River System. The influence of outlet discharges from upstream reservoirs has also negligible affects on prevent salinity intrusion from the sea. According to the results of the study, reasonable water resources utilization and appropriate reservoir operation approaches in the drought will be studied to protect the crop and aquaculture from salinity intrusion.
