Pine processionary moth is one of the most important forest pests in the mediterranean Basin. There is need to explore its distribution behaviour to undertake effective control and determine the edge effect of its horizontal distribution in the stand. Five trial sites damaged by the insect were selected and traps installed in all trees in the sites. The number of nests and larvae was counted and diameter increment cores were taken. The distance to the edge of the stand revealed that there was no statistical difference in the number of nests and larvae up to 25 m while there was a statistically significant difference(0.5%)at [25 m. There was a 2-fold difference in the density of nests between 0 and 25 m and [25 meters, and a 3.8-fold difference in the number of larvae. The effect of pine processionary moth on tree diameter was not significant between trees at the edge of the stand and those in the stand.

Usually,rural areas can be electrified via three-phase distribution transformers with relatively large *** such areas,low voltage lines are used for long distances,which cause power losses and voltage drop for different types of *** losses and improving voltage profiles in rural distribution networks are significant challenges for electricity distribution *** different solutions were proposed in the literature to overcome these challenges,most of them face difficulties when applied in the conventional distribution *** address the above issues,an applicable solution is proposed in this paper by installing a number of small-capacity distribution transformers instead of every single large-capacity transformer in rural *** proposed approach is implemented in the branch network of Al-Hoqool village,which belongs to the Nineveh distribution *** network has been inspected on-site,drawn,and analyzed using the electrical systems analysis program(ETAP).The analysis showed that using the single-phase pole-mounted transformers can improve the voltage in the network’s end by 29%and enhance the voltage profile for all *** analysis has also demonstrated that the modification can reduce the total power losses by 78%compared to the existing *** the economic aspect,the payback period for the proposed network is assigned to be 20 months.

The objectives of the study were to investigate the effects of different levels of urea treatments on chemical composition, nutritional value and rumen degradability of sorghum stover. Two groups of animals were used in this experiment. The first group, which served as control, was offered untreated sorghum stover. The other, the experiment group recived sorghum stover to which was added 2%, or 4% urea. Crude protein （CP） content of the treated sorghum was enhanced （P 〈 0.05） over the untreated one, and ranked as 7.30% and 6.05% CP for 4% and 2% respectively. Nutrient detergent fiber （NDF） content was decreased （P 〈 0.05） from 92.5% （control） to 89.8% and 87.8% for 2% and 4% urea *** extract （EE） content was decreased （P 〈 0.05） from 1.77% （control） to 1.63% and 0.82% for 2% and 4% respectively. The rumen degradability was increased （P 〈 0.05） from 59.2% （control） to 64.2%, and 67.2% for 2%, and 4% sorghum and in hours 0, 4, 8, 16, 24, 48, 72 and 96.

Boronic acid compounds with different substituted groups were handled to synthesize various ligands encoded as B1, B2, B3, B4, BS, B6, B7 and BS. B5 and B7 were tested for the cytotoxic activity against the prostate cancer cells and it was found that the cell viability of cancer cells was decreased while most of the healthy cells could still be viable. 5 μm solutions of B5 and B7 decreased the cell viability to 33% and 44%; whereas healthy cells were 71% and 95%, respectively, after treatment. Antimicrobial properties were explored against the bacterial and fungal microorganisms with B1, B5 and BZ The inhibition zones were evaluated for all boronic structures, and the growth inhibition zones were determined in a range of 7-13 mm diameter for different microorganism species. Staphylococcus aureus was the common micro- organism that three boronic compounds with imine ligands showed the activity. Antioxidant features of B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7 and B8 were investigated by different processes such as Beta-carotene bleaching （BCB）, 2,2-diphenyl picryl hydrazyl （DPPH）, 2,2″-azino-bis（ 3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid）（ABTS） and CUPric reducing antioxidant capacity （CLIPRAC） methods. Significant antioxidant activity was achieved by the phenyl boronic based ligands and these compounds demonstrated as much activity as standards （α-Toc and BHT）. In addition, all structures were applied properly without any decomposition during the experiments. They were rather stable both in aqueous media and solid state.

Influence of metal Ions on Hydrogen Production by Photosynthetic Bacteria Grown in Escherichia coli Pre-Fermented Cheese Whey

The photosynthetic bacteria, Rodospirillum rubrum, produced hydrogen when grown in cheese whey in presence of light. The production increased three times as much when whey was used after being incubated in presence of Escherichia coli at 37℃ for 5 days, giving a total of 3600 ml of H2 in 10 days. The presence of Fe ions (5 mg/L) enhanced H2 production of treated whey to about 6000 ml in 10 days. mo ions (0.3 and 1.6 mg/l) did not affect achieved H2 production of treated whey. However, when Fe and mo ions were present together, the production was comparable with that of mo ions alone, i.e. mo prevented Fe of producing any enhancing effect. The addition of mn ions (7.68 mg/L) to treated whey containing Fe (5 mg/L) and mo ions (8 mg/L) increased H2 production to give about 9500 ml/10 days.

Geologists interpret seismic data to understand subsurface properties and subsequently to locate underground hydrocarbon *** are among the most important geological features interpreters analyze to locate petroleum ***,manual channel picking is both time consuming and ***,similar to any other process dependent on human intervention,manual channel picking is error prone and *** address these issues,automatic channel detection is both necessary and important for efficient and accurate seismic *** systems make use of real-time image processing techniques for different *** channel detection is a combination of different mathematical methods in digital image processing that can identify streaks within the images called channels that are important to the oil *** this paper,we propose an innovative automatic channel detection algorithm based on machine learning *** new algorithm can identify channels in seismic data/images fully automatically and tremendously increases the efficiency and accuracy of the interpretation *** algorithm uses deep neural network to train the classifier with both the channel and non-channel *** provide a field data example to demonstrate the performance of the new *** training phase gave a maximum accuracy of 84.6%for the classifier and it performed even better in the testing phase,giving a maximum accuracy of 90%.

The Abuse of Dermal Fillers: A Clinico-Epidemiological Study of 35 Cases

Background: Nowadays, the use of dermal fillers for correcting signs of aging, such as wrinkles, depressions, and folds, has become increasingly popular. However, the abuse of these products can lead to disfigurements and unpredictable consequences among users. Objective: To evaluate the clinical abnormalities related to dermal fillers abuse in Iraqi people, and identify the various factors contributing to them. methods: A total of 35 patients with different facial abnormalities due to the abuse of dermal fillers, attending our clinic in Diwaniyah, Iraq, from September 2016 to December 2017, were enrolled. A questionnaire-based analysis was used to collect clinical and sociodemographic data from patients to determine the etiological profile behind this problem. Several disfigurements and facial defects were diagnosed on clinical base. We have treated most of the situations that require intervention and treatment. Results: A total of 35 patients aged between 25 and 54 years with a sex ratio of 0.093 were enrolled in this study. Their mean age was 42 years, and the age group between 35 and 45 years was forming 85.7% of the cases. The clinical abnormalities recorded in this study include: buffy face 8 (22.8%), facial asymmetry 3 (8.5%), mdoka fish lips like 6 (17%), periorbital redness 1 (2.8%), filler fatigue 6 (17%), bags under eyes 4 (11.4%), sizeable bulbous nose 4 (11.4%), topographical changes 2 (5.7%), and stone-like cheeks 1 (2.8%). The leading causes for the abuse of fillers were as follows: 12 (34.28%) candidates were not compatible with the procedure, 9 (25.7%) were non-compliance with the indications of the Food and Drug Organization (FDA), 9 (25.7%) fillers were injected in the wrong place, 18 (51.4%) injections were of a larger quantity than required, and 5 (14.2%) had frequent and long-term injection. The effect of hollow fiber module positions （ horizontal and vertical） on separation performance for PVA solution by using polyethersulfone （PES） hollow fiber ultrafiltration （UF） membrane with the molecular weight cut-off （mWCO） 30 000 has been discussed. Experimental results illustrated that the suitable operation conditions for PVA solution were as follows： trans-membrane pressure 2.1 bar, solution temperature 75℃ and feed velocity 0.32 m/s. Under these suitable operation conditions, the permeate flux is from 36.8 L/（m^2 ·h·bar） to 42.9 L/（m^2 ·h·bar） for the horizontal module and from 39.8 L/（m^2 ·h·bar） to 66.6 L/（m^2 ·h·bar） for the vertical module. Besides, the Separation performance of PES hollow fiber UF membrane was better by using vertical hollow fiber module than by using horizontal hollow fiber module. When the trans-membrane pressure increased from 1 bar to 2.1 bar, solution temperature from 50 ℃ to 75 ℃, feed solution velocity from 0.16 m/s to 0.32 m/s, the PVA rejection would increase from 95.8% to 99.7%, 95.4 96 to 98.6 %, 95.8 96 to 99.2 96 for horizontal module respectively, and from 98.8 96 to 99.8 %, 98.6 96 to 99.4 96, 98.5 96 to 99.4 96 for vertical module respectively. Therefore, PVA rejection in PES hollow fiber UF process was more than 98.5 96 for vertical module, and it is suitable for PVA recovery from wastewater.

Background Natural and synthetic plant growth regulators are essential for plant health,likewise these regulators also play a role in increasing organic production productivity and improving quality and yield *** the present study,we have evaluated the effects of foliar applied plant growth regulators,i.e.,moringa leaf extract(mLE)and mepiquat chloride(mC)alone and in combination mC and mLE on the conventional cotton cultivar(CIm 573)and transgenic one(CIm 598).The growth regulators were applied at the start of bloom,45 and 90 days after *** The application of mC and mLE at 90 days after blooming significantly improved the relative growth rate,net assimilation rate,the number of bolls per plant,and seed cotton ***,the combined application of mLE and mC at 90 days after blooming significantly boosted the nitrogen uptake in locules,as well as the phosphorus and potassium uptake in the leaves of both cotton *** application of mLE alone has considerably improved the nitrogen uptake in leaves,and phosphorus and potassium contents in locules of Bt and conventional cotton ***,Bt cotton treated with mLE at 90 days after blooming produced significantly higher ginning out turn and oil *** in combination(mLE+mC)at 90 days after blooming produced considerably higher micronaire value,fiber strength,and staple length in conventional *** The natural growth enhancer,mLE is a rich source of minerals and zeatin,improving the nutrient absorption and quality of cotton fiber in both conventional and Bt cotton cultivars.
