Vietnam has a 4000-year old traditional system of pharmaco-medicine which was founded during the Hung King era （2879-257 B.C.）. Vietnamese traditional medicine （TM） came from the society and was developed during the long years of living, working and struggling for existence among the Vietnamese people among 54 ethnic groups under extremely severe natural conditions, conflicts, and interaction with local neighboring nations such as China, Laos, Cambodia, india, etc. All of those form the foundations to shape the diversity, abundance and specialty of Vietnamese TM. Valuable experiences in TM have been transmitted from generation to generation, which is an important part of Vietnamese culture.

Soybean production in Vietnam has recently been threatened by the widespread dissemination of soybean rust (SBR) caused by the fungus Phakopsora pachyrhizi. Application of molecular breeding is considered as a feasible method to improve soybean rust resistance and minimize the adverse effects from overuse fungicides in this country. In this study, we have successfully applied molecular markers in a backcross breeding program to introgress the Rpp5 gene of SBR resistance into HL203, an elite Vietnamese soybean variety, from two donor lines of DT2000 and Stuart 99084B-28. The plants in BC4F1 generation had maximum contribution from the recurrent parents and retained SBR resistance gene.

作为弘扬佛教教理于广大人民实际生活中去的核心载体同时是越语词汇库中重要组成成分的佛教术语，想必应该将之有系统、符合越语构词、组成短语规则地翻成越语，只有如此佛理方能得到广大群众的欢喜接受，但目前为止是这项工作还是虚位以待的。佛学研究界都认为汉语佛典是目前世界上最完善的佛经宝藏，据笔者不完全统计得知，截至二零一零年，在越南，越译佛典只达汉语佛典的百分之二十左右。窃想，想拥有一部标准的现代越语佛典，首先要设立一个专用于佛经汉译越的理论系统,而要做好标准越语佛教术语的工作是佛经汉译越之前的先决条件。为了能在此项巨大工作献出自己一点薄棉之力，笔者着力于研究跟汉语佛教术语有关的问题;有意识地吸收中国著名佛经翻译大师的理论与经验如罗什、玄奘、赞宁等并将之与现代翻译理论、现代科学术语学理论等成就相结合应用于设立一个专用于汉译越的佛经包括佛教术语在内的理论系统，具体是专用于《三藏法数》中佛教术语汉译越的理论系统。为了能满足上述工作要求，于此论文笔者将对术语包括佛教术语以及《三藏法数》中的佛教术语在内进行有系统地介绍如它们的来源、内在结构、特点、类型等。为了尽可能避免前人所犯的毛病，首先笔者将《三藏法数》中的术语与现代越语佛学词典里的相应术语进行比较：目的是指出它们之间义项、词性、结构、搭配能力等的异同点;更重要的是看看现代越语佛学词典里的术语的结构是否与现代越语词、短语的结构规律相一致;列出一些带有典型性的“错例”来分析其错之由。通过统计、对比、列正等研究方法，指出它们在理论上与实际运用过程中的缺限。最后初步设立一个专用于佛教术语汉译越的理论系统。通过有科学的研究方法，我们指出了前人在《三藏法数》中佛教术语汉译越过程的错误，主要为：1.滥用汉越音读法现象。2.不符合越语构词法现象。3.滥用方言现象。4.带有机械、意义晦涩的翻译现象。做好佛教术语翻译工作是做好佛经翻译的前提，佛经翻译系属宗教、文艺、历史、哲学等领域的翻译，所以若想有一部一方面要能保持宗教的神圣、奥秘性;历史的真实性;文学的典雅性等另一方面要能保持标准越语的简练性、透明性与合乎越语的构词法的越语佛典，首先必有一个专用于汉译越的佛教术语的理论系统。笔者认为，这篇论文对上述工作有所帮助。

Electroosmotic water vapor transport (WVT) across very thin, flexible, functionalized conducting polymer (CP) microporous (μP) membranes at a very high rate is reported. Both passive and active (6 VDC applied) WVT are reported, the latter for the first time ever. WVT occurs with concomitant, effective blocking of chemical warfare (CW) agents, again demonstrated for the first time ever. Initial active liquid||membrane||liquid interface studies demonstrated WVT rates of >1.7 × 10-5g .mm-2s-1, >3 × the highest prior reported values of 5 × ***-2s-1. Subsequent vapor||membrane|| vapor interface studies using industry-standard methods (including ASTM E96B Upright Cup (“WVT”), ASTM F2298 (“Dynamic Moisture Permeation Cell”) and ASTM F1868 (“Sweating Guard Hotplate”) were done at independent, external labs for independent corroboration. These yielded, e.g., WVT values of2564.4 g.m2.d-1 (passive) and3706.7 g.m2d-1 (active), to be compared with the highest (passive) value ever reported previously,984.8 g.m2.d-1 for a μP-Nylon membrane. More than 15 different membrane configurations, porosities and types were studied, including membranes with CP + organophosphate hydrolase (OPH), an enzyme reactive to CW agents. Efficient blocking of the actual CW agents GB, HD, VX is also reported, using the TOP-8-2-501standard. Membranes also passed all Industry-standard durability tests, e.g. ASTM D2261 (Tearing), ASTM D5034 (Breaking), ASTM D3886 (Abrasion), ASTM F392 (Gelbo Flex). Incorporation into smart soldiers’ garments was demonstrated;power consumption was -2. Mechanisms of enhanced WVT and CW agent blocking in the membranes are discussed.

Optimizing Flow Path Design(FPD)is a popular research area in transportation system design,but its application to Overhead Transportation Systems(OTSs)has been *** study focuses on optimizing a double-spine flow path design for OTSs with 10 stations by minimizing the total travel distance for both loaded and empty *** employ transportation methods,specifically the North-West Corner and Stepping-Stone methods,to determine empty vehicle travel ***,the Tabu Search(TS)algorithm is applied to branch the 10 stations into two main layout *** results obtained from our proposed method demonstrate a reduction in the objective function value compared to the initial feasible ***,we explore howchanges in the parameters of the TS algorithm affect the optimal *** validate the feasibility of our approach by comparing it with relevant literature and conducting additional tests on layouts with 20 and 30 stations.

Building the ARIMA Model for Forecasting the Production of Vietnam’s Coffee Export

Coffee is a significant industry, accounting for 3% of Vietnam’s GDP, with annual export turnover consistently exceeding USD 3 billion. Despite global economic challenges affecting purchasing power at various times, Vietnam’s coffee exports in December 2023 continued to surge, reaching the highest level in the past 9 months at 190,000 tons, a 59.3% increase compared to November 2023, but still a slight 3.5% decrease from the same period last year. The export turnover reached USD 538 million, a 51% increase from November 2023 and a 26.4% increase from the same period last year. Therefore, forecasting the coffee export volume holds significant importance for coffee producers nationwide. This research employs the Box-Jenkins method to construct an ARIMA model for forecasting Vietnam’s coffee export volume based on annual data published by the General Statistics Office. Results indicate that among the models considered, the ARIMA(1, 1, 2) model is the most suitable. The study also provides short-term forecasts for Vietnam’s coffee export volume. However, the current model is limited to forecasting and is not yet optimized, as the assumed linearity in the model is a simplification.

We briefly summarized how to design and fabricate an insect-mimicking flapping-wing system and demonstrate how to implement inherent pitching stability for stable vertical takeoff. The effect of relative locations of the Center of Gravity （CG） and the mean Aerodynamic Center （AC） on vertical flight was theoretically examined through static force balance considera- tion. We conducted a series of vertical takeoff tests in which the location of the mean AC was determined using an unsteady Blade Element Theory （BET） previously developed by the authors. Sequential images were captured during the takeoff tests using a high-speed camera. The results demonstrated that inherent pitching stability for vertical takeoff can be achieved by controlling the relative position between the CG and the mean AC of the flapping system.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness of cycling in combination with electroacupuncture in treatment of poststroke hemiplegia patients at National Hospital of Acupuncture,***:The study was designed as a single-centre,outcome-assessor-blinded parallel randomised controlled trial with 120 post-stroke hemiplegia patients randomly assigned into two groups:electroacupuncture plus cycling(CT group) and electroacupuncture(AT group).Patients were assessed before and after the treatment(using muscle grading,modified Rankin,Barthel,Orgorozo scores and electromyography).Statistical Man–Whitney U test,and Fisher’s exact tests were used to compare between CT and AT ***:The results reported statistically significant improvement in motor function in patients suffering from hemiplegia following ischemic stroke in both CT and AT *** in CT group experienced a greater improvement compared to those in AT group including better muscle contraction(increased frequency and amplitude of electromyography and increased muscle grading scale);increased recovery(Orgogozo scale),increased independency(Barthel scale) and decreased disability(Modified Rankin scale)(P < 0.01).CONCLUSIONS:Combination with cycling training significantly improves the recovery of post-stroke patients treated with electroacupuncture.

Some Optical, Electrical Properties of Lead Free KNN-CZN Ceramics

Lead free (1−x)K0.5Na0.5NbO3-xCa(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3 (abbreviated KNN-xCZN) ferroelectric ceramics, with x = 0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.10, have been fabricated by the conventional solid-state reaction method. The effects of CZN content on the structure, microstructure and some optical, electrical properties of KNN-xCZN ceramics were studied in detail. The experimental results showed that the crystal structure of ceramics gradually transformed from orthorhombic phase into pseudo-cubic phase with doping of xCa(Zn1/3Nb2/3)O3. With increasing of the CZN concentration, the ceramic density increased and reached the highest value (4.29 g/cm3) at x = 0.08 mol, besides, the grain size of the ceramics decreased gradually, the microstructure more uniform, the grains are packed with clear grain boundaries, fewer pores, especially at x = 0.08 mol. With the dense and fine-grained microstructures, the optical transmission of the ceramics is strong, the ceramic sample with x = 0.08 mol exhibits stably high transmittance above 60% in the visible spectrum and the largest optical band gap energy (Eg = 3.0 eV) was obtained. The Curie temperature (TC) decreases when the concentration of CZN increases. The broadness of dielectric peaks around Tm indicated a diffusive phase transition for all compositions suggesting the relaxor-like behavior of KNN-xCZN ceramic systems.
