Compared with other transition metal Mxene derived quantum dots(MQD_(S)),Ta-based Mxene quantum dots have good functionality,but Ta-based Mxene quantum dots and their applications have not been studied so *** this paper,we report for the first time the synthesis of high fluorescence quantum yield(QY) N-doped Ta_(4)C_(3) quantum dots(N-MQDs) using Ta_(4)C_(3) quantum dots in acid reflux damaged Ta_(4)C_(3) nanosheets as precursors and ethylenediamine as nitrogen *** prepared N-MQDs have excellent blue photoluminescence(PL) properties,particle size is only 2.60 nm,QY is up to 23.4%,and good *** addition,it has been reported that N-MQDs can be used as fluorescent probe for detection of Fe;and remote force sensing analysis In liquid ion sensing,N-MQDS shows a unique selective quenching of Fe;with a detection limit as low as 2 μmol/L,and has great potential as a fast and super-sensitive fluorescent probe for the detection of heavy *** importantly,in solid mechanics sensing,the introduction of N-MQDs into self-healing hydrogels can be developed into a fluorescent hydrogel that can be used for accurate remote force measurement and applied in the field of mechanical sensing ***,Ta-based N-MQDs show excellent potential in the field of fluorescence sensing,which provides a door for multi-dimensional sensing of new materials in the future.

Protective effects of female reproductive factors on gastric signetring cell carcinoma

BACKGROUND The overall incidence of gastric cancer is higher in men than women ***,gastric signet-ring cell carcinoma(GSRC)is more frequently observed in younger female *** To analyze clinicopathological differences between sexes in GSRC,because of the limited evidence regarding association between sex-specific differences and *** We reviewed medical records for 1431 patients who received treatment for GSRC at the Cancer Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences between January 2011 and December 2018 and surveyed reproductive *** characteristics were compared between female and male *** multivariable model was used to compare the mortality risks of GSRC among men,menstrual women,and menopausal *** Of 1431 patients,935 patients were male and 496 were female(181 menstrual and 315 menopausal).The 5-year overall survival in male,menstrual female and menopausal female groups was 65.6%,76.5% and 65%,respectively(P<0.01).Menstruation was found to be a protective factor(hazard ratio=0.58,95% confidence interval:0.42–0.82).CONCLUSION The mortality risk of GSRC in menstrual women was lower than that in *** study identified the protective effects of female reproductive factors in GSRC.

Long-emission carbon dots(CDs) is triggering immense enthusiasm on account of their intrinsic merits of high chemical stability and excellent optical *** this study,a facile and rapid approach was developed for the preparation of barium-doped carbon dots(Ba-CDs) with yellow fluo rescence emission and high quantum *** chemistry and the chemical architecture of the Ba-CDs was revealed under various spectroscopic *** work provides more insights into the effects of charge transfer caused by Ba heteroatoms,which is considered as the most challenging step in the investigation on luminescence ***,the prepared Ba-CDs were successfully applied as fluorescent probes in the detection of trace water in organic solvents(ethanol,isopropanol,acetone,tetrahydrofuran).Comparing with traditional fluorescent probes for water detection in organic solvents,Ba-CDs detection provides a more sensitive,much faster and more economical approach.

Synergistic effect of electrode defect regulation and Bi catalyst deposition on the performance of iron–chromium redox flow battery

Iron-chromium redox flow batteries (ICRFBs) possess advantages of high safety,long cycle time,and *** Cr^(3+)/Cr^(2+)reaction activity is suggested as one of the most promising strategies to improve the performance and prolong the lifetime of *** improve the slow reaction kinetics of the negative electrode,a type of defected carbon cloth with Bismuth (Bi) catalyst introduction is prepared by defect engineering method and electrochemical deposition,which provided defect sites and active sites to catalyze the redox couple’s reaction of ***,this modified carbon cloth adsorbs Cr(Ⅲ)hydrate more easily,which has a more stable structure and can significantly improve the performance of *** experimental analysis and theoretical calculation indicated that the modified electrode has excellent electrocatalytic ability,which can enhance the reaction rate of Cr^(3+)/Cr^(2+),improve capacity retention and stabilize cycling *** capacity degradation rate of an ICRFB single cell with the modified electrodes is just 0.23%per cycle at a current density of 140 m A/cm^(2).Additionally,the energy efficiency (EE) remains around 83%,which is 8.45%higher than that of the pristine electrode assembled battery under 60 *** work supplies a simple method to obtain a high-performance electrode material for ICRFBs and makes it a practical solution to promote ICFRBs large-scale commercialization process.

Objective: To compare patient-reported outcomes after implantation of the ZA9003 intraocular lens(IOLs), or the MCX11 ASP IOLs or the spherical IOLs(HQ-201HEP). Methods: Prospective nonrandomized controlled trial was used. A total of 105 patients(210 eyes) were divided into three groups according to the type of IOLs: ZA9003(35 patients, 70 eyes), MCX11 ASP(35 patients, 70 eyes) or HQ-201HEP(35 patients, 70 eyes). The main outcome was scores of Catquest nine-item short-form questionnaire. Additional outcome was best corrected visual acuities, spherical aberration(SA) and total higher-order aberrations(HOAs). Results: The global score was significantly lower in the spherical IOL group than the aspherical IOL group of-020 μm SA(P 0.05). Significant differences were also found in question 2, question 5, question 6 and question 8 between the spherical IOLs and the aspherical IOLs. Conclusion: Implantation of an aspherical IOL could improve vision-related quality of life compared with a spherical IOL. However, there were no statistically significant differences in vision-related quality of life between aspheric IOLs with different negative spherical aberrations.

岩质边坡中的岩体结构面调查与分析是进行边坡稳定性分析的基础工作之一。然而,传统手段获取边坡岩体结构面存在效率低、安全性差、主观性高、数字化程度低以及流程繁琐等不足。基于三维重建SFM算法,深入研究了高精度大场景露天矿边坡岩体三维实景模型重建方法,并融合高精度边坡岩体三维实景模型中的空间和纹理特征信息,构建了以Opengl图形库为基底的可视化交互系统,实现了岩质边坡高精度三维实景模型的高效采集和可视化操作。同时,将不共线三点确定一个平面的理论应用到结构面识别中,实现岩体结构的交互式精准识别。在此基础上,开发了岩质边坡结构面识别系统,并以某露天矿边坡为研究对象,结合岩体力学基本理论深度挖掘岩体结构信息解译结果,对边坡稳定性进行了详细分析。研究结果表明:该系统能够使岩质边坡的稳定性分析与灾害防控更具有及时性、高效性、准确性,具备广泛的应用前景。

Designing single-atom catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)are fashionable but challenging to boost the zinc-air battery *** enhanced ORR activity by manganese(Mn)singleatom catalysts can be achieved by accurately regulating the coordination number of isolated Mn *** calculations indicate that the single Mn-N5sites possess lower free energy barrier and higher oxygen adsorption performance than single Mn-N4sites to accelerate the ORR *** to it,here we synthesize an atomically dispersed Mn-N5catalyst by precisely axial coordination of pyridinic-N doped into two-dimensional(2D)porous nanocarbon sheets(~3.56 nm thickness),which reveals outstanding catalytic activity and ultrahigh stability for the ORR in zinc-air battery owing to the inhomogeneous charge distribution of Mn-N5sites compared to the conventional single-site Mn-N4catalyst and Pt/*** work gives a new strategy for in situ regulating the electronic structure of metal single-atoms and further promoting the overall ORR performance in energy systems.

Terahertz spoof surface-plasmon-polariton subwavelength waveguide

Surface plasmon polaritons(SPPs) with the features of subwavelength confinement and strong enhancements have sparked enormous interest. However, in the terahertz regime, due to the perfect conductivities of most metals, it is hard to realize the strong confinement of SPPs, even though the propagation loss could be sufficiently low. One main approach to circumvent this problem is to exploit spoof SPPs, which are expected to exhibit useful subwavelength confinement and relative low propagation loss at terahertz frequencies. Here we report the design,fabrication, and characterization of terahertz spoof SPP waveguides based on corrugated metal surfaces. The various waveguide components, including a straight waveguide, an S-bend waveguide, a Y-splitter, and a directional coupler, were experimentally demonstrated using scanning near-field terahertz microscopy. The proposed waveguide indeed enables propagation, bending, splitting, and coupling of terahertz SPPs and thus paves a new way for the development of flexible and compact plasmonic circuits operating at terahertz frequencies.

Metasurface-empowered bound state in the continuum(BIC)provides a unique route for fascinating functional devices with infinitely high quality *** method is particularly attractive to the terahertz community because it may essentially solve the deficiencies in terahertz filters,sensors,lasers,and nonlinear ***,most BIC metasurfaces are limited to specified incident angles that seriously dim their application ***,we propose that a dual-period dielectric metagrating can support multiple families of BICs that originate from guided mode resonances in the dielectric grating and exhibit infinite quality factors at arbitrarily tilted *** robustness was analyzed based on the Bloch theory and verified at tilted incident *** also demonstrate that inducing geometric asymmetry is an efficient way to manipulate the leakage and coupling of these BICs,which can mimic the electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT)effect in our dual-period *** this demonstration,a slow-light effect with a measured group delay of 117 ps was *** incidence-insensitive BICs proposed here may greatly extend the application scenarios of the BIC *** high Q factor and outstanding slow-light effect in the metagrating show exciting prospects in realizing high-performance filters,sensors,and modulators for prompting terahertz applications.
