Let Ω be a bounded or unbounded domain in R~n. The initial-boundary value problem for the porous medium and plasma equation with singular terms is considered in this paper. Criteria for the appearance of quenching phenomenon and the existence of global classical solution to the above problem are established. Also, the life span of the quenching solution is estimated or evaluated for some domains.

This paper is devoted to the study of existence,uniqueness and non-degeneracy of positive solutions of semi-linear elliptic equations.A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of positive solutions to problems is *** prove that if the uniqueness and non-degeneracy results are valid for positive solutions of a class of semi-linear elliptic equations,then they are still valid when one perturbs the differential operator a little *** consequences,some uniqueness results of positive solutions under the domain perturbation are also obtained.

The effect of spatial temperature gradient on the microstructural evolution of a 308L stainless steel during the directed energy deposition(DED)process was experimentally investigated.A novel cooling system was designed and incorporated to a DED system in order to control the temperature gradient along the deposition direction during *** deposition,the workpiece was placed on a lifting platform,and as the deposition process proceeded,the platform and workpiece were gradually lowered into cooling water so that the temperature gradient along the deposition direction could be controlled and maintained stable during the deposition *** microstructure characterization results indicated that a deposition strategy with higher G and G/R values(where G is temperature gradient and R is solidification rate)produced finer cellular grains that were better aligned with the deposition direction,while a deposition strategy with lower G and G/R values produced columnar grains with larger primary arm spacing and less aligned with the deposition direction.

Thiamine deficiency is characterized by a deficiency of thiamine(vitamin B1),lactic acidosis,pulmonary arterial hypertension(PAH),right-sided heart failure,and peripheral nerve *** deficiency is easily misdiagnosed and missed during clinical practice and is associated with death in severe cases.[1,2]Here we reported a patient who was admitted to the hospital with severe metabolic acidosis and pulmonary hypertension and finally diagnosed with thiamine deficiency by detecting plasma vitamin B1 *** clinically obvious thiamine deficiency is rare,and cases of thiamine deficiency requiring extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)treatment are rarer,we believe that our case will be helpful for emergency clinicians.

The poor interfacial contact is one of the biggest challenges that solid-state lithium batteries suffer *** the solid-state electrolyte surface energy by transforming the interface from lithiophobic to lithiophilic is effective to promote the interfacial contact, but electronic conductive interphases usually increase the risk of electron attack, thus leading to uncontrollable Li dendrite growth. Herein, we propose a self-assembled thermodynamic stable Li I interphase to simultaneously improve the interfacial contact between the garnet electrolyte Li_7La_(3)Zr_(2)O_(12)(LLZO) and Li anode, and prohibit the electron attack. The direct contact between LLZO and Li and the high temperature Li melting process was ascribed to Zr4+reduction, which facilitated Li dendrite formation and propagation. With the modification of the high lithiophilic I_(2) thin film, the area specific interfacial resistance of LLZO/Li was reduced from 1525 Ω/cm^(2) to 57 Ω/cm^(2). More importantly, LLZO was protected from being reduced due to the outstanding electronic insulativity of the Li I interphase, which leaded to a high critical current density of 1.2/7.0 m A/cm^(2) in the time/capacity-constant modes, respectively.

Great potential of underground gas/energy storage in salt caverns seems to be a promising solution to support renewable *** the underground storage method,the operating cycle unfortunately may reach up to daily or even hourly,which generates complicated pressures on the salt ***,the mechanical behavior of rock salt may change and present distinct failure characteristics under different stress states,which affects the performance of salt cavern during the time period of full *** reproduce a similar loading condition on the cavern surrounding rock mass,the cyclic triaxial loading/unloading tests are performed on the rock salt to explore the mechanical transition behavior and failure characteristics under different *** results show that the rock salt samples pre-sent a diffused shear failure band with significant bulges at certain locations in low confining pressure conditions(e.g.5 MPa,10 MPa and 15 MPa),which is closely related to crystal misorientation and grain boundary *** the elevated confinement(e.g.20 MPa,30 MPa and 40 MPa),the dilation band dominates the failure mechanism,where the large-size halite crystals are crushed to be smaller size and new pores are *** failure transition mechanism revealed in the paper provides additional insight into the mechanical performance of salt caverns influenced by complicated stress states.

Renewable energy driven N_(2) electroreduction with air as nitrogen source holds great promise for realizing scalable green ammonia ***,relevant out-lab research is still in its ***,a novel Sn-based MXene/MAX hybrid with abundant Sn vacancies,Sn@Ti_(2)CTX/Ti_(2)SnC–V,was synthesized by controlled etching Sn@Ti_(2)SnC MAX phase and demonstrated as an efficient electrocatalyst for electrocatalytic N2 *** to the synergistic effect of MXene/MAX heterostructure,the existence of Sn vacancies and the highly dispersed Sn active sites,the obtained Sn@Ti2CTX/Ti_(2)SnC–V exhibits an optimal NH_(3) yield of 28.4μg h^(−1) mg_(cat)^(−1) with an excellent FE of 15.57% at−0.4 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode in 0.1 M Na_(2)SO_(4),as well as an ultra-long ***,this catalyst represents a satisfactory NH3 yield rate of 10.53μg h^(−1) mg^(−1) in the home-made simulation device,where commercial electrochemical photovoltaic cell was employed as power source,air and ultrapure water as feed *** as-proposed strategy represents great potential toward ammonia production in terms of financial cost according to the systematic technical economic *** work is of significance for large-scale green ammonia production.

We conducted a comprehensive review of existing prediction models pertaining to the efficacy of immune-checkpoint inhibitor(ICI)and the occurrence of immune-related adverse events(irAEs).The predictive potential of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR)in determining ICI effectiveness has been extensively investigated,while limited research has been conducted on predicting ***,the combined model incor-porating NLR and PLR,either with each other or in conjunction with additional markers such as carcinoembryonic antigen,exhibits superior predictive capabilities compared to individual markers *** and PLR are promising markers for clinical *** models ought to incorporate established efficacious models and newly identified ones,thereby constituting a multifactor composite ***,efforts should be made to explore effective clinical application approaches that enhance the predictive accuracy and efficiency.

Cross-species transmission and host range genes in poxviruses

The persistent epidemic of human mpox, caused by mpox virus (MPXV), raises concerns about the future spread ofMPXV and other poxviruses. MPXV is a typical zoonotic virus which can infect human and cause smallpox-likesymptoms. MPXV belongs to the Poxviridae family, which has a relatively broad host range from arthropods tovertebrates. Cross-species transmission of poxviruses among different hosts has been frequently reported andresulted in numerous epidemics. Poxviruses have a complex linear double-strand DNA genome that encodeshundreds of proteins. Genes related to the host range of poxvirus are called host range genes (HRGs). This reviewbriefly introduces the taxonomy, phylogeny and hosts of poxviruses, and then comprehensively summarizes thecurrent knowledge about the cross-species transmission of poxviruses. In particular, the HRGs of poxvirus aredescribed and their impacts on viral host range are discussed in depth. We hope that this review will provide acomprehensive perspective about the current progress of researches on cross-species transmission and HRGvariation of poxviruses, serving as a valuable reference for academic studies and disease control in the future.
