Delay and Energy Consumption Oriented UAV Inspection Business Collaboration Computing Mechanism in Edge Computing Based Electric Power IoT

With the development of Internet of things(IoT) technology and smart grid infrastructure,edge computing has become an effective solution to meet the delay requirements of the electric power IoT. Due to the limitation of battery capacity and data transmission mode of IoT terminals, the business collaboration computing must consider the energy consumption of the terminals. Since delay and energy consumption are the optimization goals of two co-directional changes, it is difficult to find a business collaboration computing mechanism that simultaneously minimizes delay and energy consumption.This paper takes the unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) inspection business scenario in the electric power IoT based on edge computing as the representative, and proposes a two-stage business collaboration computing mechanism including resources allocation and task allocation to optimize the business delay and energy consumption of UAV by decoupling the complex correlation between resource allocation and task allocation. A steepest descent resource allocation algorithm is proposed. On the basis of resource allocation, an improved multiobjective evolutionary algorithm based on decomposition by dynamically adjusting the size of neighborhood and the cross distribution index is proposed as a task allocation algorithm to minimize energy consumption and business delay. Simulation results show that our algorithms can respectively reduce the business delay and energy consumption by more than6.4% and 9.5% compared with other algorithms.

Lymphatic metastasis is the main metastatic route for colorectal cancer, which increases the risk of cancer recurrence and distant metastasis. The properties of the lymph node metastatic colorectal cancer(LNM-CRC) cells are poorly understood, and effective therapies are still lacking. Here, we found that hypoxia-induced fibroblast activation protein alpha(FAPα) expression in LNM-CRC cells. Gain-or loss-function experiments demonstrated that FAPα enhanced tumor cell migration, invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, stemness, and lymphangiogenesis via activation of the STAT3 pathway. In addition, FAPα in tumor cells induced extracellular matrix remodeling and established an immunosuppressive environment via recruiting regulatory T cells, to promote colorectal cancer lymph node metastasis(CRCLNM). Z-GP-DAVLBH, a FAPα-activated prodrug, inhibited CRCLNM by targeting FAPα-positive LNM-CRC cells. Our study highlights the role of FAPα in tumor cells in CRCLNM and provides a potential therapeutic target and promising strategy for CRCLNM.

Genetic Algorithm-Based Redundancy Optimization Method for Smart Grid Communication Network

This paper proposes a redundancy optimization method for smart grid Advanced Metering Infrastructure(AMI) to realize economy and reliability targets.AMI is a crucial part of the smart grid to measure,collect,and analyze data about energy usage and power quality from customer premises.From the communication perspective,the AMI consists of smart meters,Home Area Network(HAN) gateways and data concentrators;in particular,the redundancy optimization problem focus on deciding which data concentrator needs redundancy.In order to solve the problem,we first develop a quantitative analysis model for the network economic loss caused by the data concentrator failures.Then,we establish a complete redundancy optimization model,which comprehensively consider the factors of reliability and economy.Finally,an advanced redundancy deployment method based on genetic algorithm(GA) is developed to solve the proposed problem.The simulation results testify that the proposed redundancy optimization method is capable to build a reliable and economic smart grid communication network.

Relay Node Placement with Base Stations in Wireless Sensor Networks Fault-Tolerant

It has been proposed to deploy relay nodes for the sake of prolonging Wireless sensor networks(WSN)lifetime, such that sensors transmit the sensed data to them which in turn delivers the data to base stations. For survivability requirements, relay placements which considers fault tolerant ability have been noticed and studied. While related works are limited or most existing works don't take factors such as fault tolerance, or base stations into account comprehensively in two tired WSN. We focus on fault tolerant relay node placement in two-tiered heterogeneous WSN with base stations. As far as we know,fault tolerance contains two fundamental aspects, for one is multi-coverage and the second is multi-path. It is a NPhard problem and figure out an approximation, whose approximation ratio is enhanced to be(18 +). While a sub-problem approximation is also described as supplementary. Experimental results verify that the number of relay nodes deployed by our algorithm is somewhat superior to existed relay node placement solutions.

Blockchain-Based Reliable Fog-Cloud Service Solution for IIoT

Industrial Internet of things(IIoT) deploys a large number of smart devices to obtain industrial data, which will be transmitted to cloud for analysis to improve industrial productivity. The management of large-scale devices is complicated, and it’s also a challenge to choose a high-quality cloud service for data analysis as the number of service with similar functions increases. To address these issues, we propose a reliable fog-cloud service solution with blockchain-based fog-cloud architecture. In fog layer, we build a management blockchain between fog servers and design a management method for industrial devices; In cloud layer, we construct a service blockchain between cloud service providers to form an open "service market". Quality of service and reputation based matching algorithm and reputation-based consensus algorithm are designed. The simulation results show correctness and efficiency of algorithms, and validate effectiveness of our proposed solution.

Theil Utility Based Multi-Device Cooperation Mechanism for Service Quality Equilibrium in Ubiquitous Stub Environments

An approach to make heterogeneous devices cooperate with each other to provide ubiquitous service remains a longstanding challenge in ubiquitous environments. In addition, when multi-user request ubiquitous services simultaneously, the arbitrariness in resource allocation process easily leads to non-equilibrium of qualities of multiuser's services. Thus, How to design an effective heterogeneous devices cooperation mechanism that meet the QoS requirements and also equilibrate QoS among multi-user's services becomes a very tough problem. In the paper, Equilibrium Index and Theil Utility function are imported to establish a multidevice equilibrium cooperation model, which is benefit for resource allocation in ubiquitous environments. Then a Theil-Equilibrium based Cooperation Mechanism for multi-service is proposed. Firstly, in order to simplify calculating, a dimensionless processing is introduced. After that, a cooperation approach with Theil-Utility Heuristic algorithm is designed to choose the best solution for the simplified model. At last, the mechanism is simulated in a smart home scenario. The simulation results show that this mechanism outperforms non-equilibrium method by improving almost 40% in internal equilibrium with just reducing 0-2% in the total utility ofall the requested ubiquitous services. These data show that the proposed mechanism performs well in equilibrating qualities of multi-user's ubiquitous services.

Traffic Scheduling Mechanism Based on Interference Avoidance for Meter Data Collection in Wireless Smart Grid Communication Networks

Meter Data Collection Building Area Network(MDCBAN) deployed in high rises is playing an increasingly important role in wireless multi-hop smart grid meter data collection. Recently, increasingly numerous application layer data traffic makes MDCBAN be facing serious communication pressure. In addition, large density of meter data collection devices scattered in the limited geographical space of high rises results in obvious communication interference. To solve these problems, a traffic scheduling mechanism based on interference avoidance for meter data collection in MDCBAN is proposed. Firstly, the characteristics of network topology are analyzed and the corresponding traffic distribution model is proposed. Next, a wireless multi-channel selection scheme for different Floor Gateways and a single-channel time unit assignment scheme for data collection devices in the same Floor Network are proposed to avoid interference. At last, a data balanced traffic scheduling algorithm is proposed. Simulation results show that balanced traffic distribution and highly efficient and reliable data transmission can be achieved on the basis of effective interference avoidance between data collection devices.

Self-Healing Based on Cooperative Transmission via Bender's Decomposition in Cloud Radio Access Network

To employ the network resources more effectively and fl exibly,cloud radio access network(C-RAN) adopts centralized network construction and management. Since the new network characteristics,the self-healing is reliable distinguish compared with previous studies. This paper drives a solution for selfhealing based on cooperative transmission and power adjustment under C-RAN self-healing management architecture. This compensation model with the aim to maximize the number of connected UEs and optimize power regulation is solved by Benders' decomposition algorithm. And through the simulation,this paper verifies the speediness and effectiveness of this scheme.

Cell outage compensation based on Co MP and optimization of tilt

Cell outage compensation(COC) is a self-healing function of the self-organizing networks(SONs) concept for mobile wireless networks. In order to compensate the outage cell autonomously, this paper drives a solution for COC. This method is based on coordinated multiple points(Co MP) transmission and tilt adjusting. Firstly, the paper takes the coordinated pattern and tilt as the optimization objects. Then, it defines the rational objectives and the evaluation function of the situation and analysis the optimization model. Finally, based on the effective genetic algorithm(GA), the compensation mechanism is proposed. Simulation results show that this solution is better than the elder solutions in terms of coverage, interference, and throughput.
