The cuticular wax,acting as the ultimate defense barrier,is essential for the normal morphogenesis of plant *** this importance,the connection between wax composition and leaf development has not been thoroughly *** this study,we characterized a new maize mutant,ragged leaf4(rgd4),which exhibits crinkled and ragged leaves starting from the sixth leaf *** phenotype of rgd4 is conferred by ZmCER1,which encoding an aldehyde decarbonylase involved in wax ***1 function deficient mutant displayed reduced cuticular wax density and disordered bulliform cells(BCs),while ZmCER1 overexpressing plants exhibited the opposite effects,indicating that ZmCER1 regulates cuticular wax biosynthesis and BCs ***,as the density of cuticular wax increased,the water loss rate of detached leaf decreases,suggesting that ZmCER1 is positively correlated with plant drought tolerance.

A novel strategy of not only stimulating the immune cycle but also modulating the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment is of vital importance to efficient cancer ***,a new type of spatiotemporal biomimetic“Gemini nanoimmunoregulators”was engineered to activate robust systemic photoimmunotherapy by integrating the triple-punch of amplified immunogenic cell death(ICD),tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)phenotype reprogramming and programmed cell death ligand 1(PD-L1)***“Gemini nanoimmunoregulators”PM@RM-T7 and PR@RM-M2 were constructed by taking the biocompatible mesoporous polydopamine(mPDA)as nanovectors to deliver metformin(Met)and toll-like receptor 7/8 agonist resiquimod(R848)to cancer cells and TAMs by specific biorecognition via wrapping of red blood cell membrane(RM)inlaid with T7or M2 ***/Met@RM-T7(abbreviated as PM@RM-T7)was constructed to elicit an amplified in situ ICD effect through the targeted PTT and effectively stimulated the anticancer ***,PD-L1 on the remaining cancer cells was degraded by the burst metformin to prevent immune ***,mPDA/R848@RM-M2(abbreviated as PR@RM-M2)specifically recognized TAMs and reset the phenotype from M2 to M1 state,thus disrupting the immunosuppressive microenvironment and further boosting the function of cytotoxic T *** pair of sister nanoimmunoregulators cooperatively orchestrated the comprehensive anticancer activity,which remarkably inhibited the growth of primary and distant 4T1 tumors and prevented malignant *** study highlights the spatiotemporal cooperative modalities using multiple nanomedicines and provides a new paradigm for efficient cancer immunotherapy against metastatic-prone tumors.

The self-assembly prodrugs are usually consisted of drug modules,activation modules,and assembly *** the balance between efficacy and safety by selecting suitable modules remains a challenge for developing prodrug *** study designed four docetaxel(DTX)prodrugs using disulfide bonds as activation modules and different lengths of branched-chain fatty alcohols as assembly modules(C_(16),C_(18),C_(20),and C_(24)).The lengths of the assembly modules determined the self-assembly ability of prodrugs and affected the activation modules’*** extension of the carbon chains improved the prodrugs’self-assembly ability and pharmacokinetic behavior while reducing the cytotoxicity and increased cumulative *** use of C_(20) can balance efficacy and *** results provide a great reference for the rational design of prodrug nanoassemblies.

Background： The community-based Ontology of Biological and Clinical Statistics （OBCS） represents and standardizes biological and clinical data and statistical methods. Methods： Both OBCS and the Vaccine Ontology （VO） were used to ontologically model various components and relations in a typical host response to vaccination study. Such a model was then applied to represent and compare three microarray studies of host responses to the yellow fever vaccine YF-17D. A literature meta-analysis was then conducted to survey yellow fever vaccine response papers and summarize statistical methods, using OBCS. Results： A general ontological model was developed to identify major components in a typical host response to vaccination. Our ontology modeling of three similar studies identified common and different components which may contribute to varying conclusions. Although these three studies all used the same vaccine, human blood samples, similar sample collection time post vaccination, and microarray assays, statistically differentially expressed genes and associated gene functions differed, likely due to the differences in specific variables （e.g., microarray type and human variations）. Our manual annotation of 95 papers in human responses to yellow fever vaccines identified 38 data analysis methods. These statistical methods were consistently represented and classified with OBCS. Eight statistical methods not available in existing ontologies were added to OBCS. Conclusions： The study represents the first single use case of applying OBCS ontology to standardize, integrate, and use biomedical data and statistical methods. Our ontology-based meta-analysis showed that different experimental results might be due to different experimental assays and conditions, sample variations, and data analysis methods.

This work reports a de novo synthesis of novel bifunctional conjugated microporous polymers(CMPs)exhibiting a synergistic-effect involved coordination behavior to *** is highlighted that the synthetic strategy enables the engineering of the coordination environment within amidoxime functionalized CMP frameworks by specifically introducing ortho-substituted amino functionalities,enhancing the affinity to uranyl ions via forming synergistic *** CMPs exhibit high Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area,well-developed three-dimensional(3D)networks with hierarchical porosity,and favorable chemical and thermal stability because of the covalently cross-linked *** with the amino-free counterparts,the adsorption capacity of bifunctional CMPs was increased by almost 70%,from 105 to 174 mg/g,indicating evidently enhanced binding ability to ***,new insights into coordination mechanism were obtained by in-depth X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis and density functional theory(DFT)calculation,suggesting a dominant role of the oxime ligands forming a 1:1 metal ions/ligands(M/L)coordination model with uranyl ions while demonstrating the synergistic engagement of the amino functionalities via direct binding to uranium center and hydrogen-bonding involved secondary-sphere *** work sheds light on the underlying principles of ortho-substituted functionalities directed synergistic effect to promote the coordination of amidoxime with uranyl *** the synthetic strategy established here would enable the task-specific development of more novel CMP-based functional materials for broadened applications.

Using molecular dynamics (MD) simulation, the diffusion of oxygen, methane, ammonia and carbon dioxide in water was simulated in the canonical NVT ensemble, and the diffusion coefficient was analyzed by the clustering method. By comparing to the conventional method (using the Einstein model) and the differentiation-interval variation method, we found that the results ob- tained by the clustering method used in this study are more close to the experimental values. This method proved to be more reason- able than the other two methods.

[目的]绿色农业技术的环境与经济收益核算,对于推进技术应用、解决农业面源污染问题和实现生态文明建设具有重要的参考价值。究竟绿色农业技术有没有顺利实现农户的经济目标与社会的环境目标?现有研究诸多争议与困惑。[方法]文章以水肥一体化技术为例,基于山东省649份苹果种植户的实地调查数据,借助内生转换模型,从微观层面探讨了水肥一体化技术的环境效应和经济效应。[结果](1)总体来看,农户采纳水肥一体化技术实现了节肥增收的目的。(2)采纳水肥一体化技术后,样本农户能够节约化肥施用量11.79%~20.98%,提高农产品收入8.15%~9.07%。(3)不同规模农户采纳水肥一体化技术的节肥增收效应存在显著差异。对于采纳水肥一体化技术的规模户而言,其化肥减量作用强度明显高于小规模农户。与此同时,采纳水肥一体化技术只对规模户有明显的农产品增收作用。[结论]注重完善市场流通机制下农产品质量监督体系,使绿色农产品能够获得质量溢价的收益。同时创建有利于水肥一体化技术推广应用的土地规模条件,获得规模化带来的节肥增收效应。推动外部性内部化补偿制度实施,政府对具有正外部性行为的农户给予补偿。
