Ferroptosis is an iron-dependent regulatory cell necrosis induced by iron overload and lipid *** occurs when multiple redoxactive enzymes are ectopically expressed or show abnormal ***,the precise regulation of ferroptosis-related molecules is mediated across multiple levels,including transcriptional,posttranscriptional,translational,and epigenetic levels.N^(6)-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)is a highly evolutionarily conserved epigenetic modification in *** m^(6)A modification is commonly linked to tumor proliferation,progression,and therapy resistance because it is involved in RNA metabolic ***,accumulating evidence suggests that dysregulated ferroptosis caused by the m^(6)A modification drives tumor *** this review,we summarized the roles of m^(6)A regulators in ferroptosis-mediated malignant tumor progression and outlined the m^(6)A regulatory mechanism involved in ferroptosis *** also analyzed the potential value and application strategies of targeting m^(6)A/ferroptosis pathway in the clinical diagnosis and therapy of tumors.

Expression pattern and regulation of head-to-head genes Vps36 and Ckap2 during chicken follicle development

Vacuolar protein sorting 36(VPS36),a protein primarily known for its role in the Endosomal Sorting Complex Required for Transport pathway,has recently been shown to be linked to chicken *** research showed that Vps36 is significantly downregulated in sexually mature chicken ovaries compared to immature *** this study,using real-time quantitative RT-PCR,we investigated the expression pattern of Vps36 and its head-to-head gene Ckap2 mRNA in chicken *** white follicles were found to have significantly higher expression of Vps36 and Ckap2 mRNA than any other sized follicles(P<0.05).The expression of Vps36 and Ckap2 mRNA were detected in both granulosa and theca layers of pre-ovulatory follicles,the expression of Ckap2 in theca layers was slightly higher than in granulosa *** of small yellow follicles with folliclestimulating hormone and estradiol resulted in a marked decrease of both Vps36 and Ckap2 mRNA(P<0.05);however,progesterone,transforming growth factor-β1 and luteinizing hormone induced no significant changes in Vps36 and Ckap2 mRNA expression in these *** results indicate that the head-to-head genes of Vps36 and Ckap2 exhibit similar expression in chicken follicles and are involved in chicken follicle development.

Halobacteria *** 515 was isolated from a salt lake in Tibet. Although proton release-and-uptake across claret membrane is in reverse order compared to bacteri-orhodopsin in purple membrane from Halobacterium Sali-narum, and its efficiency of proton pump is much lower, AFM image shows that the molecules are still arranged in a two-dimensional hexagonal lattice of trimers. Primary structure of C- to G-helix of the archaerhodopsin shows that it has only 56% homology with bacteriorhodopsin. But the interactive amino acid residues at the interface between B-and D-helixes are conserved. These amino acid residues are believed to play a significant role in the stability of protein oligomers.

A mild, configurable, flexible CoNi-LDH（v）/Zn battery based on H-vacancy-induced reversible Zn2+ intercalation

Flexible Zn-based batteries have attracted increasing research interest as essential components of wearable energy storage ***,the advancement of flexible aqueous Zn-based batteries based on Co-Ni layered double hydroxide （CoNi-LDH） as the cathode material is hampered by their poor cycling stability and the corrosiveness of alkaline ***,CoNi-LDH nanosheets enriched with H vacancies (CoNi-LDH（v）) were constructed on a flexible carbon cloth （CC） substrate via electrochemical deposition and *** Zn-based battery comprising CoNi-LDH（v）@CC as the cathode exhibited highly reversible conversion reactions and stable operation in 3 M ZnSO4electrolyte （pH=4）.The battery delivered an excellent specific capacity (225 mA h g-1,0.26 mA h cm-2),acceptable cycling stability（53.9%,900 cycles）,and high discharging *** abundant H vacancies served as active sites for the reversible intercalation of Zn2+and the extravasation of NO3-generated channels and space for Zn2+transport and storage,together enabling an excellent Zn2+storage ***,a sandwich-structured solid-state CoNi-LDH（v）@CC//Zn@CC battery was fabricated and was found to exhibit a noteworthy electrochemical performance and mechanical *** a proof of concept,the unencapsulated battery powered a digital watch under various deformation conditions and operated stably for 80 ***,the flexible battery displayed outstanding customizability,maintaining an open-circuit voltage of 1.42 V even after being cut *** proposed engineering strategy contributes to the realization of textiles with truly wearable energy-storage devices.

Pluripotent stem cells secrete Activin A to improve their epiblast competency after injection into recipient embryos

It is not fully clear why there is a higher contribution of pluripotent stem cells （PSCs） to the chimera produced by injection of PSCs into 4-cell or 8-cell stage embryos compared with blastocyst injection. Here, we show that not only embryonic stem cells （ESCs） but also induced pluripotent stem cells （iPSCs） can generate F0 nearly 100% donor cell-derived mice by 4-cell stage embryo injection, and the approach has a ＂dose effect＂. Through an analysis of the PSC-secreted proteins, Activin A was found to impede epiblast （EPI） lineage development while promoting trophectoderm （TE） differentiation, resulting in replacement of the EPI lineage of host embryos with PSCs. Interestingly, the injection of ESCs into blastocysts cultured with Activin A （cultured from 4-cell stage to early blastocyst at E3.5） could increase the contribution of ESCs to the chimera. The results indicated that PSCs secrete protein Activin A to improvetheir EPI competency after injection into recipient embryos through influencing the development of mouse early embryos. This result is useful for optimizing the chimera production system and for a deep understand- ing of PSCs effects on early embryo development.

The Mechanism of Rural Tourism Development-Taking Yangshuo County as an Example

Rural tourism plays a crucial role in promoting the process of urban-rural integration and regionally coordinated *** on theories of tourism system drive and system science,this study constructed a rural tourism system dynamics model with four subsystems:demand,supply,media,and ***,we predicted the optimal mechanism for rural tourism development using scenario simulation *** findings were four-fold.(1)The rural tourism development dynamics system constructed in this study overcame the limitations of previous subsystem divisions.(2)Under the development scenarios of Natural development mechanism(NDM),Demand driven mechanism(DDM),Supply driven mechanism(SDMe),Media driven mechanism(MDM),Support driven mechanism(SDMu),and Synergistic driven mechanism(SDMy),the rural tourism development index values in 2035 were 0.678,0.702,0.755,0.715,0.776,and 0.836,*** these scenarios,SDMy emerged as the ideal mechanism for rural tourism development in Yangshuo County.(3)Based on the characteristics of the rural tourism development index,rural tourism in Yangshuo County has undergone three stages:fluctuating growth,rapid development,and recession.(4)Yangshuo County’s rural tourism supply index grows slowly and is always below 0.8,which is a key link for future structural *** study proposes a direction for rural tourism development in Yangshuo and a later impetus,which can accelerate the process of urban-rural integration in Yangshuo and similar areas.

Spatial-temporal Distribution and Influencing Factors of Urban Carbon Emissions under the Background of Carbon Emission Reduction:A Case Study of Guangxi Autonomous Region

Based on the panel data of Guangxi from 2005 to 2017,the spatiotemporal characteristics and determinants of urban carbon emissions in Guangxi were analyzed using the extended STIRPAT model and the Geographically and Temporally weighted Regression(GTWR)*** main findings of our research can be summarized as *** the total carbon emissions of cities in Guangxi consistently increased from 2005 to 2014,the growth trend slowed after 2014,leading to a stabilization in the total *** addition,there are significant differences in the total carbon emissions among the *** central and northeastern regions have higher emissions,while the southwestern region has lower ***,there are variations in the degrees and directions of the impacts that factors have on carbon emissions among the different time periods and *** land use is a key factor driving carbon emissions,and it has a negative impact on most cities in ***,factors such as industrial structure,population urbanization,population concentration,and economic growth have significant positive effects on carbon emissions in *** influence of urban roads on carbon emissions is generally positive,while the degree of openness to the outside world and environmental regulations has relatively weaker impacts on *** summary,in order to promote the low-carbon transition of Guangxi and achieve high-quality development,the cities in Guangxi should implement differentiated urban carbon reduction strategies that are focused on optimizing urban land use and industrial structure.

Asymmetric interfacial engineering regulated charge distribution on Ru/Ni-N-C sites for efficient hydrogen evolution reaction in alkaline and seawater electrolytes

Developing highly efficient and cost-effective electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction（HER） is grandly challenging in alkaline and alkaline seawater electrolytes. Herein, the asymmetric interfacial active sites with Ru nanoparticles and Ni single atoms in Ru/Ni-N-C were designed through a solvothermal-pyrolysis process. Constructing highly asymmetric interfacial active sites with a strong electron delocalization effect significantly improves HER kinetics. As expected, Ru/Ni-N-C requires low overpotentials with around 20 mV at 10 mA cm-2and robust durability over 48 h in alkaline and alkaline seawater *** at 200 mA cm-2, the overpotentials are close to 100 mV in both above electrolytes for Ru/Ni-N-C. Density function theory calculation results suggest that the asymmetric interface between Ru nanoparticle and Ni-N-C could accelerate the dissociation of water molecules and modulate the hydrogen species, consequently improving the HER performances. This work opens a unique approach for constructing advanced materials for energy conversion.
