Eu(TTA)4C5H5NC16H33(TTA:1-(2-Thenoy)-3,3,3-Trifluoracetate) is encapsulated in St- MCM-41 modified with N-(3-Trimethoxysilethyl)ethylene. The emission spectrum of the assembly shows only a 5D0-7F2 transition. As compared with the rare earth complex itself, the lifetime of the assembly becomes longer and its stability under the UV radiation is much better.

Transition metal coordination polymers with polycarboxylic acid as bridging ligands:synthesis and structure characterization of[Fe(μ_(4)-bta)_(0.5)(phen)(OH)]_(n)

A new 2D (two-dimensional) coordination polymer, [Fe(μ4-bta)o.5(phen)(OH)]n (1), has been hydrothermally synthesized with FeCl3 6H2, Na4bta (h4bta = 1,2,4,5-benzentetracarboxylic acid), 1,10-phen (1,10-phenanthroline) and H2O as raw materials. The crystals of the compound belong to monoclinic P21/n space group, a = 1.0129(2) nm, b = 0.9265(2) nm, c = 1.5696(3) nm, β=91.37(3)°V=1.4721(5) nm3,Z=3, final R1=0.0292, wR 2=0.0798 for 2572 [/>2σ(/)] observed reflections. The result of structure determination shows that in the compound each bta ligand is connected with four Fe3, forming a new μ4-coordination mode. Four deprotonated carboxylic groups of bta link to Fe3 ions alternatively through monodentate and bidentate coordination fashion, constructing 2D layer network. The measurement of variable temperature magnetic susceptibility indicates that there exist antiferromagnetic interactions between Fe3 ions in the compound. The TGA spectrum displays relatively fine thermal stability of the compound. In addition, IR and UV-Vis spectra of compound 1 have also been measured.

An SVM-based classification method has been employed to predict the formation of （6,12）-ring-containing microporous aluminophosphates （AlPOs） in our zeolite database, demonstrating the general feasibility in establishing a relationship between the synthetic parameters and the structural features of the synthesized microporous materials.

By incorporation of transition metal ions into the aluminophosphate framework, we have for the first time solvothermally synthesized a family of heteroatom-containing chiral aluminophosphate molecular sieves, MeAPO-CJ40 （Me = Co, Zn, Mn, Fe）. The framework topology of CJ40 has been approved as a new zeolite framework type by the structure committee of international zeolite association. Significantly, although there was no chiral material introduced during the synthesis, the circular dichroism （CD） spectrum of CoAPO-CJ40 exhibits a strong positive Cotton effect, which indicates that the bulk product of CoAPO-CJ40 is not a 1:1 racemic mixture of enantiomeric crystals. Furthermore, we found that introducing chiral additives in the synthesis can greatly promote the enantiomeric excess （ee） of the bulk product. Factors that affect the enantiomeric excess of the bulk product have been investigated.

A series of transition metal substituted aluminophosphate molecular sieves including Co-JRY, -CHA, and -AEL were synthesized under microwave irradiation. Diethylamine and the mixture of tetraethyleneglycol and water were used as template and solvent, respectively. The selective crystallization of these three structures was investigated.

The exploration of high-efficient catalysts based on hierarchical Ti-containing zeolites with optimized active titanium species distribution is of great value in enhancing the epoxidation of bulky olefins. Herein, hierarchical TS-1(MFI) zeolite with an extra-large external surface area(210 m2/g) and highly active octahedral- coordinated Ti species was prepared via organic base-assisted sequential post-treatment. Such a catalyst afforded a high turnover number value(TON, 114) in 1-octene epoxidation reaction, which was over twice than that(53) of the untreated conventional microporous TS-1 parent. According to the detailed characterization results, we revealed the hierarchical porosity construction effect of tetrapropylamonium hydroxide(TPAOH) treatment(first step) and the octahedral-coordinated Ti species fabrication effect of ethylamine(EA) treatment(second step) under hydrothermal condition. Such a facile post-treatment strategy reported in this work may provide guidance for the rational synthesis of TS-1 zeolite with enhanced catalytic activity.

The side-chain alkylation of toluene with methanol over alkali-cation-containing zeolite Y is an important reaction for industrial production of styrene,but the exact mechanism of this reaction is still *** most accepted opinion is that the Lewis acid-base sites in zeolite Y activate the transformation from methanol to formaldehyde,the side-chain alkylation of toluene with formaldehyde,and the formation of 2-phenylethanol and styrene *** this study,we investigate the roles of various types of hydroxyl groups that could possibly exist in zeolite Na-Y during this reaction,including the Br6nsted acid sites and the terminal Al-OH and Si-OH groups,*** density functional theory （DFT） calculations,we find that the Brtnsted acid sites in Na-Y may catalyze the ring alkylation of toluene and be responsible for the formation of xylene,a side product discovered in *** importantly,we find,for the first time,a new reaction pathway from 2-phenylethanol to styrene over various types of hydroxyl groups in Na-Y,which is kinetically more favorable than the conventional *** to our calculation results,the most possible mechanism for this styrene production process may involve reactions over both the Lewis acid-base sites and the hydroxyl groups in Na-Y.
