Acoustic carrier signal transmission technology and its potential for in-site monitoring of sliding electrical contact used in gas-insulated switchgear/gas-insulated transmission line

A wireless signal transmission technology based on acoustic carrier is proposed,which overcomes the limitation of electromagnetic signal shielding and shows great potential for in-site monitoring of sliding electrical contact used in gas-insulated switchgear(GIS)/gasinsulated transmission line(GIL).Here,the state parameter of the sliding electrical contact is modulated onto the frequency domain of an ultrasound wave.As a mechanical wave,the ultrasonic wave is immune to electromagnetic shielding,so that it could carry the sensing signal to penetrate the metal shielding layer and transmit to the external terminals of GIS/GIL.The principle and signal modulation process of the acoustic carrier based transmission system have been demonstrated in detail.Both simulation and experiment have been conducted to analyse the system characteristics as well as optimise the system configuration.As a proof-of-concept application,the in situ and on-line monitoring of the thermal rise of a slide electrical contact both in a current loading equivalent model and a prototype of GIS is demonstrated.Experimental results fit well with the physical process,and show a good measurement accuracy of 0.6%and tem-perature sensitivity of 400 Hz/℃.

Accurate aerodynamic distribution perception and real-time flight state evaluation are crucial for flight safety,e.g.,stall detection.However,the observations are usually sparse due to limitations in sensor mounting space and cost,and a reconstruction technology is urgently required.Herein,a machine learning-assisted assimilation method based on sparse observations has been proposed.Different from the traditional reconstruction methods focusing on boundary condition correction,the proposed method formulates the flow field pressure distribution as a linear superposition of flow field modes,thereby forming a real-time reconstruction pattern that combines offline modal extraction using computational fluid dynamics(CFD)with real-time determination of modal weights using a neural network.In this study,CFD simulations were conducted under 800different operating conditions for common modal extraction and model training.The weights of these modes were determined online based on merely five observations for reconstructing the full pressure field.A pressure reconstruction with a relative error of 6.1%and a mean square error of 0.003 was achieved within the prescribed condition range.The computational cost was just2 ms for each reconstruction run,significantly faster than the 20 min required by the classical reconstruction ensemble transform Kalman filter.It also showed that the method maintains almost the same accuracy amidst 1.5%measurement noise.As practical examples,shock waves and the change of lift coefficient were analyzed using the proposed method,providing remarkable evidence for the capability of the method in supporting stall detection.These validate the method’s effectiveness and explore its potential in real-time and accurate monitoring of an aircraft.

Due to the heterogeneity of tumors,single phototherapy cannot completely ablate tumors and inhibit tumor metastasis.To overcome these,we formulated targeted and multifunctional polymersomes ABC@ICGIMQ-LHRH(AIRL)that encapsulated Toll-like receptor(TLR)7/8 agonist imiquimod(IMQ)and photosensitizer indocyanine green(ICG)in the hydrophobic layer as well as bubble-generator NH_(4)HCO_(3) in the hydrophilic cavity to inhibit the growth of primary and distant tumors,and prevent tumor metastasis through synergistic photoimmunotherapy.The AIRL polymersomes exhibited uniform and stable size,and high drug encapsulation efficiency,acid/reduction/laser responsiveness,excellent photothermal conversion efficiency,effective reactive oxygen species generation,high tumor accumulation.AIRL could be effectively internalized by dendritic cells(DCs),achieve lysosome escape and enhance DCs maturation.The synergistic photoimmunotherapy via AIRL polymersomes remarkably promoted the differentiation and activation of T cells,elevated strong systemic immune response to eradicate primary tumors and inhibit the growth of distant tumors.Simultaneously,the endurable immunological memory prevented tumor metastasis,which provided a promising nanoplatform for the combination therapy of cancer.

Tree-ring width(RW),density,elemental com-position,and stable carbon and oxygen isotope(δ^(13)C,δ^(18)O)are widely used as proxies to assess climate change,ecology,and environmental pollution;however,a specific pretreat-ment has been needed for each proxy.Here,we developed a method by which each proxy can be measured in the same sample.First,the sample is polished for ring width meas-urement.After obtaining the ring width data,the sample is cut to form a 1-mm-thick wood plate.The sample is then mounted in a vertical sample holder,and gradually scanned by an X-ray beam.Simultaneously,the count rates of the fluorescent photons of elements(for chemical characteriza-tion)and a radiographic grayscale image(for wood density)are obtained,i.***.the density and the element content are obtained.Then,cellulose is isolated from the 1-mm wood plate by removal of lignin,and hemicellulose.After producing this cellulose plate,cellulose subsamples are separated by knife under the microscope for inter-annual and intra-annual stable carbon and oxygen isotope(δ^(13)C,δ^(18)O)analysis.Based on this method,RW,density,elemental composition,δ^(13)C,and δ^(18)O can be measured from the same sample,which reduces sample amount and treatment time,and is helpful for multi-proxy comparison and combination research.

Recently,rapid and cost-effective additive manufacturing solutions for lightweight aluminum alloys with excellent high-temperature mechanical properties have been increasingly in demand.In this study,we combined laser-arc hybrid additive manufacturing with solution and artificial aging treatments to achieve Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy with favorable high-temperature strength via microstructure control.Hydrogen pores became the major defect in the as-deposited and heat-treated specimens.The continuous distribution of eutectics with hard-brittle characteristics at the grain boundaries was destructed following heat treat-ment.High-densityηprecipitates were uniformly dispersed in the heat-treated Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy,whereas appeared coarsened and dissolved at 473 K,owing to the rapid diffusion of Zn and Mg.The average 0.2%yield strength(318±16 MPa)and ultimate tensile strength(362±20 MPa)at 473 K af-ter heat treatment were enhanced by approximately 58%and 51%,respectively,compared to those of the as-deposited specimen.In addition,theηprecipitates contributed to lattice distortions and strain fields,which prevented dislocation motion and increased slip deformation resistance at high temper-atures.The as-deposited specimen exhibited intergranular fracture at 473 K,with cracks preferring to propagate along the aggregated eutectics.However,crack propagation proceeded in the sections with more pores in the heat-treated specimen.Our approach may provide a valid option for achieving alu-minum alloys with excellent high-temperature mechanical properties.

Laser spectroscopic imaging techniques have received tremendous attention in the-eld of cancer diagnosis due to their high sensitivity,high temporal resolution,and short acquisition time.However,the limited tissue penetration of the laser is still a challenge for the in vivo diagnosis of deep-seated lesions.Nanomaterials have been universally integrated with spectroscopic imaging techniques for deeper cancer diagnosis in vivo.The components,morphology,and sizes of nanomaterials are delicately designed,which could realize cancer diagnosis in vivo or in situ.Considering the enhanced signal emitting from the nanomaterials,we emphasized their combination with spectroscopic imaging techniques for cancer diagnosis,like the surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS),photoacoustic,fluorescence,and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS).Applications ofthe above spectroscopic techniques offer new prospectsfor cancer diagnosis.

This study aimed to explore the effect of Bifidobacterium animalis F1-7 on the improvement of atherosclerotic inflammation.Arteriosclerosis model ApoE^(-/-)mice were orally administered with B.animalis F1-7 for 12 weeks.The probiotic intervention reduced the plaque areas in aorta and the accumulation of macrophages,and downregulated the expression of toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/nuclear factorκB(NF-κB)pathway to reduce the levels of inflammatory factors.The widely-targeted metabolomics analysis showed that acetyl-L-carnitine(ALC)in the intestine of atherosclerotic mice was significantly increased after B.animalis F1-7 intervention.Correlation analysis proved that ALC was associated with atherosclerotic inflammatory response.By using oxidized low density lipoprotein induced macrophage foam cells,we further verified that ALC could reduce lipid accumulation and inflammatory response in foam cells by downregulating the TLR4/NF-κB pathway.Finally,our results revealed that B.animalis F1-7 upregulated the metabolite ALC to downregulate the inflammatory responses,leading to the reduction of plaque accumulation of atherosclerosis.

Local delivery of nanoparticles holds promise for colorectal cancer(CRC)therapy.However,the presence of the mucus layer on the epithelium poses a significant challenge to drug delivery,thereby adversely affecting treatment efficiency.It is crucial to develop efficient drug delivery carriers that can effectively overcome mucus barriers to treat colorectal cancer.Herein,we utilized poly(1,4-butadiene)-b-poly(ethylene oxide)polymers to prepare four distinct geometries of polymeric micelles,namely linear micelles(LMs),worm-like micelles(WLMs),large spherical micelles(LSMs),and small spherical micelles(SSMs)to investigate the influence of shape effects on overcoming colonic mucosal barrier.We found that the carriers exhibited diverse shapes while maintaining comparable physicochemical properties.Of these,WLMs had an aspect ratio similar to segmented filamentous bacteria,which exhibited superior mucus penetration ability,leading to prolonged drug release kinetics and faster entry into epithelial cells compared to LSMs.Furthermore,rectally administrated 10-hydroxycamptothecin-loaded WLMs traversed the colorectal mucus in orthotopic CRC nude mice model,penetrated and accumulated within tumor tissue,and effectively aggregated within cancer cells,thereby inducing significantly robust antitumor outcomes in vivo.These findings underscore the significance of shape design in overcoming colonic mucosal absorption barriers,offering a novel approach for the development of drug delivery carriers tailored for effective tumor therapy.

This paper demonstrated the generation of multi-wavelength bound state noise-like pulse (BNLP) in a dispersion-managed composite-filtered fiber laser consisting of Nonlinear Polarization Rotation (NPR) and Loop. In the case of BNLP， the generation is caused by the interaction between two noise-like pulses (NLPs )induced by the comb-filtering effect， and Bound state level can be artificially controlled in the researches. Our work provides a new method for generating low-coherence pulses and establishes a research idea for the study of the comb-filtering effects.
