Expression of TXLNA in brain gliomas and its clinical significance:a bioinformatics analysis

Background To analyze the expression of TXLNA in brain gliomas and its clinical significance.Methods Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis(GEPIA)and Chinese Glioma Genome Atlas(CGGA)databases were retrieved as the methods.To assess the disparity between TXLNA expression in glioma and normal brain tissue.The Kaplan-Meier survival curve was employed to preliminarily evaluate the survival curves of the high and low expression groups,this was done for investigate the correlation between TXLNA expression level and the survival and prognosis of glioma.A Cox proportional regression risk model of multivariate nature was employed to evaluate the elements impacting the survival and prognosis of glioma.Gene pool enrichment analysis(GSEA)was used to investigate the related function of TXLNA in glioma.A Pearson correlation test and co-expression analysis were employed to identify the genes most associated with TXLNA expression.Result The enrichment analysis results were observably enriched in signal pathways for instance the cell cycle and completion and coordination cascade pathways,and it is evident that high expression of TXLNA in gliomas is related to a poor survival and a bad patient prognosis,thus making it an independent prognostic factor for gliomas.Genes such as STK40 and R1MS1 are significantly correlated with TXLNA,playing a synergistic or antagonistic role.Conclusions The prognosis of GBM patients is strongly linked to the high expression of TXLNA,which may be a viable therapeutic target for curbing cancer progression and creating new immunotherapies for GBM.

The world’s coral reefs are threatened by the cumulative impacts of global climate change and local stressors.Driven largely by a desire to understand the interactions between corals and their symbiotic microorganisms,and to use this knowledge to eventually improve coral health,interest in coral microbiology and the coral microbiome has increased in recent years.In this review,we summarize the role of the coral microbiome in maintaining a healthy metaorganism by providing nutrients,support for growth and development,protection against pathogens,and mitigation of environmental stressors.We explore the concept of coral microbiome engineering,that is,precise and controlled manipulation of the coral microbiome to aid and enhance coral resilience and tolerance in the changing oceans.Although coral microbiome engineering is clearly in its infancy,several recent breakthroughs indicate that such engineering is an effective tool for restoration and preservation of these valuable ecosystems.To assist with identifying future research targets,we have reviewed the common principles of microbiome engineering and its applications in improving human health and agricultural productivity,drawing parallels to where coral microbiome engineering can advance in the not-too-distant future.Finally,we end by discussing the challenges faced by researchers and practitioners in the application of microbiome engineering in coral reefs and provide recommendations for future work.

Co-doping effects on magnetism and superconductivity in the 112-type EuFeAs2 system

The discovery of EuFeAs_(2),currently the only charge-neutral parent phase of the 112-type iron-pnictide system,provides a new platform for the study of elemental doping effects on magnetism and superconductivity(SC).In this study,a series of polycrystalline EuFe_(1-y)Co_(y)As_(2)and Eu_(0.9)Pr_(0.1)Fe_(1-y)Co_(y)As_(2)samples are synthesized through solid-state reaction,and the evolutions of SC and magnetism with Co doping in EuFeAs_(2)and Eu_(0.9)Pr_(0.1)FeAs_(2)are investigated by electrical transport and magnetic susceptibility measurements.For EuFe_(1-y)Co_(y)As_(2),the Eu-related antiferromagnetic(AFM)transition around 40 K is barely affected by Co doping,while the Fe-related spin density wave(SDW)transition temperature drops rapidly.Meanwhile,SC is induced by a trace amount of Co doping,with a highest transition temperature T_(c)~28 K found in EuFe0.9Co0.1As_(2).For the Eu_(0.9)Pr_(0.1)Fe1-yCo_(y)As_(2)series,the magnetism and superconductivity show similar evolutions upon Co doping,and the highest T_(c)is enhanced to 30.6 K with an optimum doping level y~0.07.Our results shed light on the competition between SC and SDW with Co doping in the 112-type EuFeAs_(2)system.

为实现对建筑施工中沉降的高精度观测,引进沉降观测技术,以某装配式建筑为例,对高层建筑在施工中的沉降观测方法展开设计。建立装配式高层建筑施工观测中的GPS控制网;结合施工现场具体需求,应至少设置4个水准基点,水准基点的布置采用闭合环状方式设计;观测点点位需要拟建在建筑物上,例如建筑物的四角;设计建筑施工中观测精度与周期,按照规范进行观测成果数据的处理,并通过对建筑沉降量的计算,完成观测方法的研究。设计实例应用实验,实验结果证明:本文设计的方法不仅可以实现对建筑沉降的观测,还可以将观测结果偏差控制在一个相对较小的范围内,从而提高观测结果的可靠性与真实性。

Three-dimensional printing technique assisted cognitive fusion in targeted prostate biopsy

Objective:To explore the effect of 3-dimensional(3D)printing-assisted cognitive fusion on improvement of the positive rate in prostate biopsy.Methods:From August to December 2014,16 patients with suspected prostatic lesions detected by multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)were included.Targeted prostate biopsy was performed with the use of prostate 3D reconstruction modeling,computersimulated biopsy,3D printing,and cognitive fusion biopsy.All patients had received 3.0 T multiparametric MRI before biopsy.The DICOM MRI files were imported to medical imaging processing software for 3D reconstruction modeling to generate a printable.stl file for 3D printing with use of transparent resin as raw material.We further performed a targeted 2-to 3-core biopsy at suspected lesions spotted on MRI.Results:For the 16 patients in the present study,3D modeling with cognitive fusion-based targeted biopsy was successfully performed.For a single patient,1e2 lesions(average:1.1 lesions)were discovered,followed by 2-6 cores(average:2.4 cores)added as targeted biopsy.Systematic biopsies accounted for 192 cores in total,with a positive rate of 22.4%;targeted biopsies accounted for 39 cores in total,with a positive rate of 46.2%.Among these cases,10 patients(62.5%)were diagnosed with prostate adenocarcinoma,in which seven were discovered by both systematic and targeted biopsy,one was diagnosed by systematic biopsy only,and two were diagnosed by targeted biopsy only.For systematic biopsy,Gleason score ranged from 6 to 8(average:7),while that for targeted biopsy ranged from 6 to 9(average:7.67).Among the seven patients that were diagnosed by both systematic and targeted biopsy,three(42.8%)were reported with a higher Gleason score in targeted therapy than in systematic biopsy.Conclusion:3D printing-assisted cognitive fusion technique markedly promoted positive rate in prostate biopsy,and reduced missed detection in high-risk prostate cancer.

Relative contributions of biotic and abiotic factors to the spatial variation of litter stock in a mature subtropical forest

Aims Dead plant material(i.***.litter)is the major source of soil organic matter and thus plays a fundamental role in regulating soil carbon cycling in global forest ecosystems.The storage of litter is jointly determined by its production from plants and decomposition in a given environment.However,only few studies have explored the relative importance of en-vironmental(i.***.abiotic)and plant(i.***.biotic)factors in driving the spa-tial variation of litter mass.The objective of this study is to quantify the relative contributions of biotic and abiotic factors in affecting the spatial variation of aboveground litter stock in a mature subtropical forest.Methods The aboveground litter mass was sampled in 187 grids of a 20-hm forest dynamics plot in a subtropical broad-leave forest in eastern China.The contributions of environmental variables,topographical and species variables on litter stocks were quantified by the boosted regression tree analysis.Important Findings The mean aboveground litter stock was 367.5 g m^(−2) in the Tiantong dynamics forest plot across all the 187 grids.The litter stock ranged from 109.2 to 831.3 g m^(−2) and showed a large spatial variation with the coefficient of variance as 40.8%.The boosted regression tree analysis showed that slope elevation and soil moisture were the most influential variables on the spatial variation of litter stock.The relatively influence of abiotic factors(environmental and topographical factors)was 71.4%,which is larger than biotic factors(28.6%).Overall,these findings sug-gest that abiotic factors play a more important role than plants in driving the spatial variation of aboveground litter stock in the subtropical forest.Given that the global carbon-cycle models have been aiming to refine from the hundred kilometers to sub-kilometer scale,this study highlights the urgency of a better understanding of the spatial variation of litter stock on the fine scale.

Fruit quality is defined by attributes that give value to a commodity.Flavor,texture,nutrition,and shelf life are key quality traits that ensure market value and consumer acceptance.In pear fruit,soluble sugars,organic acids,amino acids,and total flavonoids contribute to flavor and overall quality.Transcription factors(TFs)regulate the accumulation of these metabolites during development or in response to the environment.Here,we report a novel TF,PpbZIP44,as a positive regulator of primary and secondary metabolism in pear fruit.Analysis of the transient overexpression or RNAi-transformed pear fruits and stable transgenic tomato fruits under the control of the fruit-specific E8 promoter demonstrated that PpZIP44 substantially affected the contents of soluble sugar,organic acids,amino acids,and flavonoids.In E8::PpbZIP44 tomato fruit,genes involved in carbohydrate metabolism,amino acid,and flavonoids biosynthesis were significantly induced.Furthermore,in PpbZIP44 overexpression or antisense pear fruits,the expression of genes in the related pathways was significantly impacted.PpbZIP44 directly interacted with the promoter of PpSDH9 and PpProDH1 to induce their expression,thereby depleting sorbitol and proline,decreasing citrate and malate,and enhancing fructose contents.PpbZIP44 also directly bound to the PpADT and PpF3H promoters,which led to the carbon flux toward phenylalanine metabolites and enhanced phenylalanine and flavonoid contents.These findings demonstrate that PpbZIP44 mediates multimetabolism reprogramming by regulating the gene expression related to fruit quality compounds.

无人机低空航测获取并制作的数字正射影像(DOM)是勘测设计的重要基础支撑资料。随着水环境项目应用范围的扩大,尤其是分辨率(精细度)的提高,数据量正呈几何级数增长,为生产应用带来了数据存储大、数据组织应用难、数据保密要求高等一系列难题。为解决水环境和抽蓄项目海量DOM大数据应用所面临的上述问题,提高DOM的利用效率,本文提出以GIS+“云”计算为基础,在AutoCAD、奥维等多个终端中进行轻量化加载研究。经过验证,本文研究成果提高了数据的利用效率、安全性、集约性等,拓展了数据的应用场景,并在多个大型水环境和抽蓄电站项目得到很好的推广应用。
