The reservoir characteristics and their controlling factors of the sublacustrine fan in the Paleogene Dongying Formation, Bohai Sea,China

Sublacustrine fan is an important element in continental lacustrine basins and is significant for reservoir exploration. Oil and gas resources have been found in the sublacustrine fan sandstone reservoirs of the Paleogene Dongying Formation in the Bohai Sea. In this study, the characteristics of the sublacustrine fan reservoirs and the controlling factors are studied using information from logging, cores, physical properties,casting thin sections, X-ray diffraction of clay minerals, vitrinite reflectance, rock pyrolysis, manometry data,and 3D seismic data. The sublacustrine fans of the Dongying Formation in the LD10, QHD34, and BZ21 structures show high-quality reservoirs with porosity >15 % and permeability >5 m D. The main controlling factors of the high-quality reservoirs are attributed to the favorable sedimentary facies type and negligible compaction,and cementation, substantial dissolution of K-feldspar, overpressure, and the development of faults and fractures. A high-quality sublacustrine fan reservoir model has been established to explain how these factors affected the physical properties. The favorable targets for oil and gas exploration in the Dongying Formation of Bohai Sea include undercompacted sandy debris flow reservoirs showing the dissolution of K-feldspar, and the reservoirs which are connected to the source rocks by faults. This study provides insights to establish the relationship between sedimentology, diagenesis and reservoir quality. The results of this study are significant for the exploration and development of the sublacustrine fan sandstone reservoirs in the Bohai Sea and analogous sandstone reservoirs elsewhere.

Transgenic Brassica chinensis plants expressing a bacterial codA gene exhibit enhanced tolerance to extreme temperature and high salinity

Transgenic Brassica compestris *** plants expressing a choline oxidase(codA) gene from Arthrobacter globiformis were obtained through Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated *** the transgenic plants,codA gene expression and its product transportation to chloroplasts were detected by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) examination,immunogold localization,and 1 H-nuclear magnetic resonance( 1 H-NMR) . Stress tolerance was evaluated in the T3 plants under extreme temperature and salinity *** plants of transgenic line 1(L1) showed significantly higher net photosynthetic rate(Pn) and Pn recovery rate under high(45°C,4 h) and low temperature(1°C,48 h) treatments,and higher photosynthetic rate under high salinity conditions(100,200,and 300 mmol/L NaCl,respectively) than the wild-type *** enhanced tolerance to high temperature and high salinity stresses in transgenic plants is associated with the accumulation of betaine,which is not found in the wild-type *** results indicate that the introduction of codA gene from Arthrobacter globiformis into Brassica compestris *** could be a potential strategy for improving the plant tolerance to multiple stresses.

Highly efficient expression of human extracellular superoxide dismutase(rhEcSOD)with ultraviolet-B-induced damage-resistance activity in transgenic silkworm cocoons

Extracellular superoxide dismutase(EcSOD)protects tissues from oxidative stress,and thus is considered as a therapeutic agent for many diseases such as atherosclerosis,hypertension,and ***,cost-effective production of bioactive recombinant human EcSOD(rhEcSOD)remains a ***,we developed an efficient strategy for producing active rhEcSOD by transgenic *** was successfully synthesized as homodimers and homotetramers in the middle silk gland and spun into the cocoons with a concentration of 9.48±0.21 mg/*** of rhEcSOD from the cocoons could be conveniently achieved with a purity of 99.50%and a yield of 3.5±0.5 mg/***,N-glycosylation at the only site of N89 in rhEcSOD with 10 types were *** purified rhEcSOD gained the potent enzymatic activity of 4162±293 U/mg after Cu/Zn ions *** importantly,rhEcSOD was capable of penetrating and accumulating in the nuclei of cells to maintain cell morphology and attenuate ultraviolet B-induced cell apoptosis by eliminating reactive oxygen species and inhibiting the C-Jun N-terminal kinase signaling *** results demonstrated that the transgenic silkworm could successfully produce rhEcSOD with enzymatic and biological activities for biomedical applications.

Opportunity to harmonize aspects of oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)performance and structure,and morphology,as well as composition,is urgent for the commercialization of proton exchange membrane fuel ***,we demonstrate the design and synthesis of a functionalized-supported-Pt catalyst(Pt@HNC)featuring a hollow nitrogen-modified dodecahedral carbon substrate obtained by a stress-induced-shrink tailoring *** as-obtained Pt@HNC catalyst possesses enhanced ORR per-formance,in particular with half-wave potential,mass activity(MA)and specific activity,which greatly exceed the commercial Pt/*** density functional theory(DFT)calculations further confirmed that the charge redistribution induced by the electronegativity differences improved the electron interaction between Pt and HNC *** optimized electronic structure of Pt weakens the reaction energy barrier on the Pt@HNC surface and adsorption of^(*)OH species,thus cooperatively improving the intrinsic activity toward ***,our work indeed provides a guide for the future design of functional nanomaterials in the field of catalysts and clean energy.

Reliability of DC-link capacitor in pulsed power supply for accelerator magnet

Capacitors are widely used in pulsed magnet power supplies to reduce ripple voltage,store energy,and decrease power *** this study,DC-link capacitors in pulsed power supplies were *** deriving an analytical method for the capacitor current on the H-bridge topology side,the root-mean-square value of the capacitor current was calculated,which helps in selecting the DC-link *** proposed method solves this problem quickly and with high *** current reconstruction of the DC-link capacitor is proposed to avoid structural damage in the capacitor’s current measurement,and the capacitor’s hotspot temperature and temperature rise are calculated using the FFT *** test results showed that the error between the calculated and measured temperature increases was within 1.5℃.Finally,the lifetime of DC-link capacitors was predicted based on Monte Carlo *** proposed method can evaluate the reliability of DC-link capacitors in a non-isolated switching pulsed power supply for accelerators and is also applicable to film capacitors.

Male germ cells employ specific metabolic pathways throughout their developmental *** a previous study,we discovered heightened expression of pyruvate kinase M(PKM),a pivotal glycolytic enzyme,in spermatogonia and *** gain deeper insights into PKM's roles in spermatogenesis,sperm function,and male fertility,we engineered a conditional-knockout mouse model(Pkm-vkO mice)to selectively disrupt the Pkm gene within germ *** maintaining regular testicular histology and sperm morphology,the male Pkm-vko mice were infertility,characterized by significant impairments in sperm motility and adenosine triphosphate(ATP)*** addition,Pkm-null spermatozoa exhibited similar deficits in protein tyrosine phosphorylation linked to capacitation,as well as compromised performance in in vitro fertilization *** conclude,PKM's presence is not obligatory for the entirety of spermatogenesis in male germ cells;however,it emerges as a critical factor influencing sperm motility and overall male fertility.

Charge-controlled compositional/microstructural regulations and electrochemical actuation performance of bulk nanoporous Ni-Pd alloys

Bulk nanoporous （np） metallic actuators have attracted increasing attention due to their large strain and low stimulation ***,studies focusing upon the combined effect of composition and structure on the actuation performance of metallic actuators are relatively scarce,and its underlying mechanism needs to be clarified Herein,a series of bulk np-NiPd samples with differen compositions and microstructures were fabricated using a dealloying-coarsening-dealloying strategy and chargecontrolled electrochemical dealloying,and the process involves only one component of precursor *** has been found that the np-NiPd cubes show a composition/structure-dependent mechanical property and electrochemical actuation ***,the npNi70Pd30sample with a homogeneously porous structure and good network connectivity exhibits significantly larger strain amplitude and faster strain rate than other hierarchically porous NiPd samples (np-Ni50Pd50and npNi20Pd80).Moreover,the np-Ni70Pd30sample demonstrates good actuation stability with high strain retention after hundreds of ***,the maximum strain amplitude （1.17%） is even comparable to that of advanced leadfree piezoceramic,and the maximum strain rate exceeds those of many reported metallic actuator *** work indicates that good network connectivity plays a vita role in facilitating large/fast strain response in metallic actuators.

The planar-chiral ligands have been widely applied as a class of unique and significant ligands in asymmetric *** them,chiral[2.2]paracycyclophane has emerged as a privileged type of planar-chiral framework and has been utilized as an important toolbox due to their structural ***,we design and synthesize[2.2]paracyclophane-derived oxazole-pyrimidine ligands(abberviated as PYMCOX).These N,N-ligands with stable properties,rigid structure and large steric hindrance performed successfully in nickel-catalyzed asymmetric 1,2-reduction ofα,β-unsaturated ketones,affording the chiral allylic alcohols with up to 99%yield and 99%***,this reduction reaction could be conducted on gram-scale without loss of activity and enantioselectivity,and the chiral ligand could be conveniently recovered with high yield.

Accurate evaluations of the burden distribution are of critical importance to stabilize the operation of blast *** mathematical model and discrete element method(DEM)are two attractive methods for predicting burden *** on DEM,the initial velocities of the pellet,sinter,and coke were calculated,and the velocity attenuations of the above three particles between the burden and the chute were *** initial velocity and velocity attenuation were applied to a mathematical model for improving the ***,based on the improved model,a scheme for rectifying the chute angles was proposed to address the fluctuation of the stock line and maintain a stable burden *** validity of the scheme was confirmed via a stable burden distribution under different stock *** mathematical model has been successfully applied to evaluate the online burden distribution and cope with the fluctuation of the stock line.

Exploring a new path of green and efficient utilization of sinter return fine to produce composite pellets

Efficient utilization of sinter return fine is an important measure to reduce cost,increase efficiency,save energy and reduce emission.A new path of green and efficient utilization of return fine was proposed to produce composite *** metallurgical properties of composite pellets under the condition of hydrogen-rich blast furnace were *** experimental results indicate that the coated concentrate was consolidated for the composite pellets through normal Fe_(2)O_(3) *** the surface of core return fine,the liquid phase formed due to its low-melting point,assimilated the adjacent concentrate,and then consolidated with the temperature *** with regular pellets,the com-pressive strength and reduction swelling index of composite pellets were decreased,but the reducibility index and softening-melting properties were *** addition,the reduction degradation index of composite pellets was sig-nificantly higher than that of ***,adding composite pellets was conducive to indirect reduction in blast furnace,reducing fuel ratio and improving production *** to the effect of the roasting system on the metallurgical properties,the roasting temperature and time were determined as 1250℃and 30 min,*** composite pellets can be produced under the traditional pelletizing process.
