Background: There is no absolute consensus for the best time for triggering. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of different proportion of dominant follicles (PDF) on the human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) day for the clinical outcomes in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) of different ovarian stimulation protocols. Methods: A total of 371 cycles of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist long protocol and 347 cycles of GnRH antagonist protocol from January 2014 to December 2016 were included in this retrospective study. Based on the PDF on the day of the HCG administration, the included patients were divided into three groups: Group A (low PDF), PDF 40%. The measurements regarding ovarian stimulation characteristics, fertilization rate, top quality embryo rate, clinical pregnancy rate, and ovarian hyperstimualtion syndrome (OHSS) rate were compared in different PDF groups with different protocols. Results: In both the GnRH antagonist protocol and GnRH agonist long protocol, the characteristics such as mean age, anti-Mullerian hormone, antral follicle count (AFC), and body mass index were comparable between groups. The number of oocytes retrieved decreased statistically significantly as the PDF and rate of matured oocytes increased. In the GnRH agonist long protocol, the rate of normally fertilized oocytes was highest in Group A (59.74 ± 31.21 vs. 49.70 ± 37.95, 49.67 ± 36.62;F = 3.743, P = 0.025). There were no significant differences in the rate of top-quality embryos and the clinical pregnancy rate between the groups. The clinical pregnancy rate was similar in the three groups (63.6%, 62.5%, 67.5%, respectively,χ2 = 0.989, P = 0.911). The moderate and severe OHSS rate increased statistically significantly when the PDF increased, which was highest in group C (1.4%, 3.1%, 6.7%, respectively,χ2 = 12.014, P = 0.017). Slug flow or high GVF(Gas Volume Fraction)conditions can cause pressure disturbance waves and alternating loads at the boundary of mechanical seals for multiphase pumps,endangering the safety of multiphase pump *** mechanical seal model is simplified by using periodic boundary conditions and numerical calculations are carried out based on the Zwart-Gerber-Belamri cavitation ***(User Define Function)programs such as structural dynamics equations,alternating load equations,and pressure disturbance equations are embedded in numerical calculations,and the dynamic response characteristics of mechanical seal are studied using layered dynamic mesh *** results show that when the pressure disturbance occurs at the inlet,as the amplitude and period of the disturbance increase,the film thickness gradually *** the fundamental reason for the hysteresis of the film thickness change is that the pressure in the high-pressure area cannot be restored in a timely *** maximum value of leakage and the minimum value of axial velocity are independent of the disturbance period and determined by the disturbance *** mutual interference between enhanced waves does not have a significant impact on the film thickness,while the front wave in the attenuated wave has a promoting effect on the subsequent film thickness changes,and the fluctuation of the liquid film cavitation rate and axial velocity under the attenuated wave condition deviates from the initial *** with pressure disturbance conditions,alternating load conditions have a more significant impact on film thickness and *** actual operation,it is necessary to avoid alternating load conditions in multiphase pump mechanical seals.

AIM To assess the long-term prognostic value of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1(VEGFR1)and classⅢβ-tubulin(TUBB3)mRNA expression in nonmetastatic rectal *** A total of 75 consecutive patients with non-metastatic rectal cancer from March 2004 to November 2008 were analyzed retrospectively at our *** mRNA expressions of VEGFR1 and TUBB3 were detected by multiplex branched DNA liquid-chip *** Cutoff Finder application was applied to determine cutoff point of mRNA *** software version 22.0was used for *** The median follow-up was 102.7 mo(range,6-153.6).Theχ~2 and Fisher’s exact tests showed that VEGFR1expression was related to lymph node metastasis(P=0.013),while no relationships between TUBB3 and clinicopathological features were *** analysis showed that T stage,lymph node metastasis,tumor differentiation,VEGFR1 and TUBB3 mRNA expression were correlated to overall survival(OS)(P=0.048,P=0.003,P=0.052,P=0.003 and P=0.015,respectively).Also,lymph node metastasis and VEGFR1expression independently influenced OS by multivariate analysis(P=0.027 and P=0.033).VEGFR1 expression was positively correlated with TUBB3(P=0.024).The patients with low expression of both TUBB3 and VEGFR1 presented a better OS(P=0.003).In addition,the receiver operating characteristic analysis suggested that the combination of lymph node metastasis and VEGFR1 had a more favorable prognostic value(P<0.001).CONCLUSION VEGFR1 expression and lymph node metastasis independently and jointly affect ***,low expression of VEGFR1 and TUBB3 presented a better OS in patients with non-metastatic rectal cancer,which might serve as a potential prognostic factor.

Prolonged,intense inflammation and excessive oxidative stress hinder diabetic wounds from healing normally,leading to disorders downstream including the postponement of re-epithelialization and extracellular matrix(ECM)***,we report a hyaluronic acid(HA)and chitosan based hydrogel(OHA-CMC)with inherent antibacterial and hemostatic activities fabricated via Schiff base *** encapsulating nanotechnologically-modified curcumin(CNP)and epidermal growth factor(EGF)into the hydrogel,OHA-CMC/CNP/EGF exhibited extraordinary antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,and migration-promoting effects in ***,OHA-CMC/CNP/EGF presented on-demand drug release in synchrony with the phases of the wound healing ***,curcumin was rapidly and constantly released to alleviate inflammation and oxidative stress in the early phase of wound healing,while a more gradual and sustained release of EGF supported late proliferation and ECM *** a diabetic full-thickness skin defect model,OHA-CMC/CNP/EGF dramatically improved wound healing with ideal re-epithelialization,granulation tissue formation,and skin appendage regeneration,highlighting the enormous therapeutic potential this biomaterial holds as a diabetic wound dressing.
