Multi-surrogate framework with an adaptive selection mechanism for production optimization

Data-driven surrogate models that assist with efficient evolutionary algorithms to find the optimal development scheme have been widely used to solve reservoir production optimization ***,existing research suggests that the effectiveness of a surrogate model can vary depending on the complexity of the design problem.A surrogate model that has demonstrated success in one scenario may not perform as well in *** the absence of prior knowledge,finding a promising surrogate model that performs well for an unknown reservoir is ***,the optimization process often relies on a single evolutionary algorithm,which can yield varying results across different *** address these limitations,this paper introduces a novel approach called the multi-surrogate framework with an adaptive selection mechanism(MSFASM)to tackle production optimization *** consists of two *** the first stage,a reduced-dimensional broad learning system(BLS)is used to adaptively select the evolutionary algorithm with the best performance during the current optimization *** the second stage,the multi-objective algorithm,non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II(NSGA-II),is used as an optimizer to find a set of Pareto solutions with good performance on multiple surrogate models.A novel optimal point criterion is utilized in this stage to select the Pareto solutions,thereby obtaining the desired development schemes without increasing the computational load of the numerical *** two stages are combined using sequential transfer *** the two most important perspectives of an evolutionary algorithm and a surrogate model,the proposed method improves adaptability to optimization problems of various reservoir *** verify the effectiveness of the proposed method,four 100-dimensional benchmark functions and two reservoir models are tested,and the results are compared with those obtained by six other surrogate-model-based *** res

Application of data warehouse in power transformer diagnosis system

Electric power companies have accumulated huge amounts of historical fault data of power transformer after many years operation, but the decision-makers have not been greatly supported because of the limitation of knowledge and can not make decision for transformer condition assessment. A real power corporation is selected as the research background. Based on analyzing and reorganizing the various existing data sources, the power transformer fault information data warehouse is constructed and snowflake mode cubes for multi-dimension data are established. By using OLAP(On-Line Analysis Processing) and data mining technology, forecasting load, analyzing and inquiring data warehouse are realized from different point view and multi-layers, including rolling up, drilling down, slicing , dicing and rotating etc.. Moreover, this paper proposes a novel transformer fault data mining system based on data warehouse. Finally, bayes network of fault patterns are obtained, which can greatly help the decision-making for the system operating and management. The results show that transformer fault diagnosing system based on data warehouse technology can provide efficient decision supporting.

Efficiently simulating the work distribution of multiple identical bosons with boson sampling

Boson sampling has been theoretically proposed and experimentally demonstrated to show quantum computational ***,it still lacks the deep understanding of the practical applications of boson *** we propose that boson sampling can be used to efficiently simulate the work distribution of multiple identical *** link the work distribution to boson sampling and numerically calculate the transition amplitude matrix between the single-boson eigenstates in a one-dimensional quantum piston system,and then map the matrix to a linear optical network of boson *** work distribution can be efficiently simulated by the output probabilities of boson sampling using the method of the grouped probability *** scheme requires at most a polynomial number of the samples and the optical *** work opens up a new path towards the calculation of complex quantum work distribution using only photons and linear optics.

The pressure-induced color change in the nitrogen-doped lutetium hydride has triggered extensive discussions about the underlying physics and potential ***,we study the optical response of LuH_(2±x)N_(y)in a broad frequency range at ambient pressure and its evolution with pressure in the visible spectral *** broad-band optical spectra at ambient pressure reveal a Drude component associated with intra-band electronic transitions and two Lorentz components(L1 and L2)arising from inter-band electronic *** application of pressure causes a spectral weight transfer from L1 to the Drude component,leading to a blue shift of the plasma edge in the reflectivity spectrum alongside a reduction of the high-frequency *** results suggest that the pressure-induced color change in LuH_(2±x)N_(y)is closely related to the transformation between intra-and inter-band electronic transitions,providing new insights into the mechanism of the pressure-induced color change in LuH_(2±x)N_(y).

Identification and validation of novel prognostic fatty acid metabolic gene signatures in colon adenocarcinoma through systematic approaches

Colorectal cancer(CRC)belongs to the class of significantly malignant tumors found in ***,dysregulated fatty acid metabolism(FAM)has been a topic of attention due to its modulation in cancer,specifically ***,the regulatory FAM pathways in CRC require comprehensive ***:The clinical and gene expression data of 175 fatty acid metabolic genes(FAMGs)linked with colon adenocarcinoma(COAD)and normal cornerstone genes were gathered through The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)-COAD corroborating with the Molecular Signature Database v7.2(MSigDB).Initially,crucial prognostic genes were selected by uni-and multi-variate Cox proportional regression analyses;then,depending upon these identified signature genes and clinical variables,a nomogram was ***,to assess tumor immune characteristics,concomitant evaluation of tumor immune evasion/risk scoring were ***:A 8-gene signature,including ACBD4,ACOX1,CD36,CPT2,ELOVL3,ELOVL6,ENO3,and SUCLG2,was generated,and depending upon this,CRC patients were categorized within high-risk(H-R)and low-risk(L-R)***,risk and age-based nomograms indicated moderate discrimination and good *** data confirmed that the 8-gene model efficiently predicted CRC patients’***,according to the conjoint analysis of tumor immune evasion and the risk scorings,the H-R cohort had an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment,which caused a substandard ***:This investigation established a FAMGs-based prognostic model with substantially high predictive value,providing the possibility for improved individualized treatment for CRC individuals.

BACKGROUND A decreased autophagic capacity of bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells(BMSCs)has been suggested to be an important cause of decreased osteogenic differentiation.A pharmacological increase in autophagy of BMSCs is a potential therapeutic option to increase osteoblast viability and ameliorate *** To explore the effects of sinomenine(SIN)on the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs and the underlying *** For in vitro experiments,BMSCs were extracted from sham-treated mice and ovariectomized mice,and the levels of autophagy markers and osteogenic differentiation were examined after treatment with the appropriate concen-trations of SIN and the autophagy inhibitor *** vivo,the therapeutic effect of SIN was verified by establishing an ovariectomy-induced mouse model and by morphological and histological assays of the mouse *** SIN reduced the levels of AKT and mammalian target of the rapamycin(mTOR)phosphorylation in the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway,inhibited mTOR activity,and increased autophagy ability of BMSCs,thereby promoting the osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs and effectively alleviating bone loss in ovariectomized mice in *** The Chinese medicine SIN has potential for the treatment of various types of osteoporosis,bone homeostasis disorders,and autophagy-related diseases.
