Comparative analysis of two digestive tract reconstruction methods in total laparoscopic radical total gastrectomy

BACKGROUND The incidence of gastric cancer has significantly increased in recent *** resection is the main treatment,but the method of digestive tract reconstruction after gastric cancer surgery remains *** the current study,we sought to explore a reasonable method of digestive tract reconstruction and improve the quality of life and nutritional status of patients after *** this end,we statistically analyzed the clinical results of patients with gastric cancer who underwent jejunal interposition double-tract reconstruction(DTR)and esophageal jejunum Roux-en-Y reconstruction(RY).AIM To explore the application effect of DTR in total laparoscopic radical total gastrectomy(TLTG)and evaluate its safety and *** We collected the relevant data of 77 patients who underwent TLTG at the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University from October 2021 to January *** them,35 cases were treated with DTR,and the remaining 42 cases were treated with traditional *** 1:1 propensity score matching,the cases were grouped into 31 cases per group,with evenly distributed *** clinical characteristics and short-and long-term clinical outcomes of the two groups were statistically *** The two groups showed no significant differences in basic data,intraoperative blood loss,number of lymph node dissections,first defecation time after operation,postoperative hospital stay,postoperative complications,and laboratory examination results on the 1st,3rd,and 5th days after *** operation time of the DTR group was longer than that of the RY group[(307.58±65.14)min vs(272.45±62.09)min,P=0.016],but the first intake of liquid food in the DTR group was shorter than that in the RY group[(4.45±1.18)d vs(6.0±5.18)d,P=0.028].The incidence of reflux heartburn(Visick grade)and postoperative gallbladder disease in the DTR group was lower than that in the RY group(P=0.033 and P=0.038).Although there was no significant difference in bod

Identification and validation of a pyroptosis-related prognostic model for colorectal cancer based on bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing data

BACKGROUND Pyroptosis impacts the development of malignant tumors,yet its role in colorectal cancer(CRC)prognosis remains *** To assess the prognostic significance of pyroptosis-related genes and their association with CRC immune *** Gene expression data were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)and single-cell RNA sequencing dataset GSE178341 from the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO).Pyroptosis-related gene expression in cell clusters was analyzed,and enrichment analysis was conducted.A pyroptosis-related risk model was developed using the LASSO regression algorithm,with prediction accuracy assessed through K-M and receiver operating characteristic analyses.A nomo-gram predicting survival was created,and the correlation between the risk model and immune infiltration was analyzed using CIBERSORTx ***,the differential expression of the 8 prognostic genes between CRC and normal samples was verified by analyzing TCGA-COADREAD data from the UCSC *** An effective pyroptosis-related risk model was constructed using 8 genes-CHMP2B,SDHB,BST2,UBE2D2,GJA1,AIM2,PDCD6IP,and SEZ6L2(P<0.05).Seven of these genes exhibited differential expression between CRC and normal samples based on TCGA database analysis(P<0.05).Patients with higher risk scores demonstrated increased death risk and reduced overall survival(P<0.05).Significant differences in immune infiltration were observed between low-and high-risk groups,correlating with pyroptosis-related gene *** We developed a pyroptosis-related prognostic model for CRC,affirming its correlation with immune *** model may prove useful for CRC prognostic evaluation.

An Approach to Automatic Performance Prediction forCloud-Enhanced Mobile Applications with Sparse Data

In mobile cloud computing (MCC), offloading compute-intensive parts of a mobile application onto the cloud is an attractive method to enhance application performance. To make good offloading decisions, history-based machinelearning techniques are proposed to predict application performance under various offloading schemes. However, the data sparsity problem is common in a realistic MCC scenario but is rarely the concern of existing work. In this paper, we employ a two-phase hybrid framework to predict performance for cloud-enhanced mobile applications, which is designed to be robust to the data sparsity. By training several multi-layer neural networks with historical execution records, the first phase automatically predicts some intermediate parameters for each execution of an application. The models learned by these neural networks can be shared among different applications, thus alleviating the data sparsity. Based on these predicted intermediate parameters and the application topology, the second phase deterministically calculates the estimated values of the performance metrics. The deterministic algorithm can partially guarantee the prediction accuracy of newly published applications even with no execution records. We evaluate our approach with a cloud-enhanced object recognition application and show that our approach can precisely predict the application performance and is robust to data sparsity.

Influence of filler characteristics on particle removal in fluid catalytic cracking slurry under an alternating electric field

The characteristics of the packing material under an alternating electric field are an important factor in the removal of FCCS *** this study,the electric field distribution of a separation unit consisting of packed spheres under an alternating electric field is simulated,and the movement mechanism of catalyst particles is ***"effective contact point"model is derived to predict the adsorption of filler contact points on catalyst particles under the alternating electric field,and the model is validated by simulations and *** numerical calculation and experimental results indicate that the electrical properties of the filler spheres,the filler angleθ,and the frequency f of the alternating electric field affect the adsorption of catalyst *** the frequency of the electric field increases,the particle removal efficiency of the high-conductivity filler(silicon carbide)increases and then settles,and the separation efficiency of the low-conductivity filler(glass,zirconia)is not sensitive to the change in electric field frequency.

Highly-efficient CoRuO_(x)nanocatalysts for acidic oxygen evolution:The merit of optimum ordering degree of carbon nanotube support

Hydrogen production from proton exchange membrane water electrolysis is constrained by the sluggish kinetics of the anodic oxygen evolution ***_(2)has attracted considerable attention due to its low reaction overpotential,but its inferior stability remains a major ***,a strategy is proposed to enhance the catalytic activity and stability of CoRuOx nanoparticles by doping Co and regulating the ordering degree of carbon nanotubes(CNTs)by air *** was found that the CoRuOx@CNTs-300 catalyst exhibited the best catalytic activity and stability when the annealing temperature was 300°*** the current density of 10 mA cm−2,the overpotential of this catalyst was only 201 mV,which was nearly 100 mV lower than that of commercial RuO_(2)(300 mV).Surprisingly,there was no significant increase in the overpotential when tested at a current density of 10 mA cm−2 for 50 *** density functional theory calculations indicate that the high activity of the catalyst is due to the electronic coupling of CoRuOx nanoparticles and CNTs,and that the introduction of Co and CNTs improves the electronic structure and solvation energies of the Ru in the active site,dramatically increasing the structural stability.

Electrocatalysts with high activity and long-term durability are vital toward large-scale hydrogen pro-duction from electrocatalytic water ***,the self-supported electrode(FeO_(χ)H_(y)@Ni_(3)B/NF)with hierarchical heterostructure was simply prepared by using Ni_(3)B chunks grown on nickel foam as sub-strate to in situ form vertical FeO_(χ)H_(y)*** hybrid shows efficient oxygen evolution reaction activity with overpotentials as low as 267 and 249 mV at 100 mA cm^(-2)in 1 M KOH solution and 30 wt%KOH solution,***,it also exhibits excellent catalytic stability,sustaining catalysis at 500 mA cm^(-2)in 1 M KOH solution for 200 h,and even for 200 h at 1000 mA cm^(-2)in 30 wt%KOH *** experimental results reveal that the FeO_(χ)H_(y)@Ni_(3)B/NF is endowed with superhydrophilic and superaerophobic surface properties,which not only provide more mass transport channels,as well as facilitated the diffusion of reaction intermediates and gas ***,it holds faster reaction kinetics,more accessible active sites and accelerated electron transfer rates due to strong synergistic interactions attheheterogeneous interface.

Prestoring lithium into SnO_(2)coated 3D carbon fiber cloth framework as dendrite-free lithium metal anode

For several decades,the promise of implementing of lithium(Li)metal anodes has been regarded as the"holy grail"for Li-based ***,we have proposed a facile design of a carbon fiber cloth(CFC)framework coated with SnO_(2)nanoparticles through a hydrothermal process,which served as a reliable host for prestoring molten Li to produce a CFC@SnO_(2)@Li composite ***,TEM,HRTEM,XPS and different electrochemical characterizations were carried *** to the synergetic effects of the 3D conductive CFC and the coated lithiophilic SnO_(2)nanoparticles,the designed CFC@SnO_(2)@Li electrodes can buffer the volume changes and reduce the local current density,thus suppress the Li dendrites during ***,the CFC@SnO_(2)electrodes showed a high and stable CE of 98.6%for 1000 cycles at a current density of 1 mA cm^(-2)(1 mAh cm^(-2)).What is more,at a high current density of 5 mA cm^(-2)and a high areal capacity of 5 mAh cm^(-2),the symmetric cell displayed relatively low overpotential and long cycling lifetime of 1600 *** results confirm its great potential as lithium metal anodes in practical battery applications.
