The formation mechanism for the regular octahedral structure of Liscluster is proposed. The curve of the total energy versus the separation R between any two neighboring nuclei has been calculated by using the method of Gou＇s modified arrangement channel quantum mechanics （MACQM）. The result shows that the curve has a minimal energy of -44.736 89 a.u. at R = 5.07a0. When R approaches infinity, the total energy of six lithium atoms has the value of -44.568 17 a.u. So the binding energy of Li6 with respect to six lithium atoms is 0.1687 a.u. Therefore, the binding energy per atom for Li6 is 0.028 12 a.u., or 0.7637 eV, which is greater than the binding energy per atom of 0.453 eV for Li2 and the binding energy per atom of 0.494 eV for Li3 calculated in our previous work. This means that the Li6 cluster may be formed in a regular octahedral structure with a greater binding energy.

This paper addresses the stabilization problem for stochastic uncertain systems with bounded process disturbance, where sensors, controllers and plants are connected by a digital communication channel. A lower bound on data rates of the channel, above which there exists a quantization, coding and control policy to stabilize the unstable plant in the mean square sense. A sufficient condition for stabilization is derived. Simulation results show the validity of the proposed control policy.

To the Editor： Langerhans cell histiocytosis （LCH） is a rare disease that usually occurs in the first two decades of life. Multisystem-LCH （MS-LCH） mainly affects youth. Bone, lung, and skin are the most common systems involved. Here, we report a case from China of MS-LCH in a 79-year-old patient with bone marrow, liver, spleen, and lung involvement, but without bone and skin involvement.

Background Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a common infectious disease in childhood caused by an enterovirus (EV), and which is principally seen in children under 5 years of age. To promote diagnostic awareness and effective treat-ments, to further standardize and strengthen the clinical management and to reduce the mortality of HFMD, the guidelines for diagnosis and treatment have been developed. Methods National Health Commission of China assembled an expert committee for a revision of the guidelines. The com-mittee included 33 members who are specialized in diagnosis and treatment of HFMD. Results Early recognition of severe cases is utmost important in diagnosis and treatment of patients with HFMD. The key to diagnosis and treatment of severe cases lies in the timely and accurate recognition of stages 2 and 3 of HFMD, in order to stop progression to stage 4. Clinicians should particularly pay attention to those EV-A71 cases in children aged less than 3 years, and those with disease duration less than 3 days. The following indicators should alert the clinician of possible deterioration and impending critical disease: (1) persistent hyperthermia;(2) involvement of nervous system;(3) worsening respiratory rate and rhythm;(4) circulatory dysfunction;(5) elevated peripheral WBC count;(6) elevated blood glucose and (7) elevated blood lactic acid. For treatment, most mild cases can be treated as outpatients. Patients should be isolated to avoid cross-infection. Intense treatment modalities should be given for those severe cases. Conclusion The guidelines can provide systematic guidance on the diagnosis and management of HFMD.

免疫酶法(ELISA)是在萤光抗体和组织化学的基础上将抗原——抗体的免疫反应同酶的高效催化作用有机地结合起来而形成的一种新技术。在不破坏酶活性和免疫球蛋白的免疫反应的情况下,酶分子和免疫球蛋白共价结合形成标记抗体,成为保持免疫学与生物化学活性的指示剂。这种指示剂与待检物呈特异性结合,借助于酶对底物的作用而产生可见的不溶性反应产物。免疫酶法不仅能在光学显微镜下进行细胞水平上的抗原、抗体的定位研究,而且可用电子显微镜在分子水平上进行抗原、抗体超微结构的观察。本文试图应用ELISA对昆虫核型多角体病毒进行检测,并且在研究昆虫病毒的感染机制方面作出病原定位。
