Mangroves are crucial to the ecological security of the Earth and human well-being. Their management, conservation, and restoration are of great importance and necessitate the support of spatio-temporal information and multidisciplinary knowledge such as biology and ecology. Traditional knowledge services such as plant atlas provide illustrated textual knowledge of mangroves. However, this kind of service is oriented to information retrieval and is incapable of effectively mining and utilizing fragmented knowledge from multi-source heterogeneous data, facing the problem of “massive data, rare knowledge”. Knowledge graphs are capable of extracting, organizing, and fusing the knowledge contained in massive data into semantic networks that can be understood and computed by computers. They provide a solution for the realization of intelligent knowledge services. Focusing on the urgent need for mangrove knowledge acquisition, formal representation, and intelligent services, this paper proposes a research prospect on mangrove knowledge graphs and knowledge services. We first analyze the similarities and differences between various domain-specific concepts of Tupu. On this basis, we define the mangrove knowledge graph as a large-scale knowledge base that integrates multi-disciplinary knowledge and spatio-temporal information with mangrove ecosystems as the core. Then, we propose a research framework for mangrove knowledge services that can realize the transformation from multi-modal data to intelligent knowledge services, including multiple research levels such as ubiquitous data sensing and aggregation, knowledge organization and graph construction, and intelligent mangrove knowledge services. Subsequently, the methods and workflow for constructing mangrove knowledge graphs are introduced. Tanycytes, specialized ependymal cells located in the hypothalamus, play a crucial role in the generation of new neurons that contribute to the neural circuits responsible for regulating the systemic energy balance. The precise coordination of the gene networks controlling neurogenesis in naive and mature tanycytes is essential for maintaining homeostasis in adulthood. However, our understanding of the molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways that govern the proliferation and differentiation of tanycytes into neurons remains limited. This article aims to review the recent advancements in research into the mechanisms and functions of tanycyte-derived neurogenesis. Studies employing lineage-tracing techniques have revealed that the neurogenesis specifically originating from tanycytes in the hypothalamus has a compensatory role in neuronal loss and helps maintain energy homeostasis during metabolic diseases. Intriguingly,metabolic disorders are considered early biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease. Furthermore,the neurogenic potential of tanycytes and the state of newborn neurons derived from tanycytes heavily depend on the maintenance of mild microenvironments, which may be disrupted in Alzheimer's disease due to the impaired blood–brain barrier ***, the specific alterations and regulatory mechanisms governing tanycyte-derived neurogenesis in Alzheimer's disease remain unclear. Accumulating evidence suggests that tanycyte-derived neurogenesis might be impaired in Alzheimer's disease, exacerbating neurodegeneration. Confirming this hypothesis, however, poses a challenge because of the lack of long-term tracing and nucleus-specific analyses of newborn neurons in the hypothalamus of patients with Alzheimer's disease. Further research into the molecular mechanisms underlying tanycyte-derived neurogenesis holds promise for identifying small molecules capable of restoring tanycyte proliferation in neurodegenerative diseases. A new ionic liquids grafted polysiloxane used as stationary phase for capillary gas chromatography （CGC） is described. The stationary phase of 1-vinyl-3-hexylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate anchored to polysiloxane （PMHS-[VHIm][PF6]） was synthe- sized, characterized and coated onto capillary columns by static coating. The results show that the present stationary phase exhibits a very good chromatographic resolution and selectivity for Grob test mixture and alcohols with baseline resolution and symmetry peaks. The present work suggests that novel stationary phase has a great potential for further development and application. 2009 Mei Ling Qi. A manifestly covariant, or geometric, field theory of relativistic classical particle-field systems is devel- oped. The connection between the space-time symmetry and energy-momentum conservation laws of the system is established geometrically without splitting the space and time coordinates; i.e., space- time is treated as one entity without choosing a coordinate system. To achieve this goal, we need to overcome two difficulties. The first difficulty arises from the fact that the particles and the field reside on different manifolds. As a result, the geometric Lagrangian density of the system is a function of the 4-potential of the electromagnetic fields and also a functional of the particles＇ world lines. The other difficulty associated with the geometric setting results from the mass-shell constraint. The standard Euler-Lagrange （EL） equation for a particle is generalized into the geometric EL equation when the mass-shell constraint is imposed. For the particle-field system, the geometric EL equation is further generalized into a weak geometric EL equation for particles. With the EL equation for the field and the geometric weak EL equation for particles, the symmetries and conservation laws can be established geometrically. A geometric expression for the particle energy-momentum tensor is derived for the first time, which recovers the non-geometric form in the literature for a chosen coordinate system.

A bone cell population dynamics model for cor- tical bone remodeling under mechanical stimulus is devel- oped in this paper. The external experiments extracted from the literature which have not been used in the creation of the model are used to test the validity of the model. Not only can the model compare reasonably well with these ex- perimental results such as the increase percentage of final values of bone mineral content （BMC） and bone fracture en- ergy （BFE） among different loading schemes （which proves the validity of the model）, but also predict the realtime devel- opment pattern of BMC and BFE, as well as the dynamics of osteoblasts （OBA）, osteoclasts （OCA）, nitric oxide （NO） and prostaglandin E2 （PGE2） for each loading scheme, which can hardly be monitored through experiment. In conclusion, the model is the first of its kind that is able to provide an in- sight into the quantitative mechanism of bone remodeling at cellular level by which bone cells are activated by mechan- ical stimulus in order to start resorption/formation of bone mass. More importantly, this model has laid a solid foun- dation based on which future work such as systemic control theory analysis of bone remodeling under mechanical stimu- lus can be investigated. The to-be identified control mecha- nism will help to develop effective drugs and combined non- pharmacological therapies to combat bone loss pathologies. Also this deeper understanding of how mechanical forces quantitatively interact with skeletal tissue is essential for the generation of bone tissue for tissue replacement purposes in tissue engineering.

Genetic algorithm for pareto optimum-based route selection

A quality of service （QoS） or constraint-based routing selection needs to find a path subject to multiple constraints through a network. The problem of finding such a path is known as the multi-constrained path （MCP） problem, and has been proven to be NP-complete that cannot be exactly solved in a polynomial time. The NPC problem is converted into a multiobjective optimization problem with constraints to be solved with a genetic algorithm. Based on the Pareto optimum, a constrained routing computation method is proposed to generate a set of nondominated optimal routes with the genetic algorithm mechanism. The convergence and time complexity of the novel algorithm is analyzed. Experimental results show that multiobjective evolution is highly responsive and competent for the Pareto optimum-based route selection. When this method is applied to a MPLS and metropolitan-area network, it will be capable of optimizing the transmission performance.
