Miniaturized lasers with multicolor output and high spectral purity are indispensable for various ultracompact photonic ***,we propose an optically reconfigurable Förster resonance energy transfer(FRET)process to realize broadband switchable single-mode lasing based on in situ activation of *** stoichiometric ratio of the donor and acceptor in the ready-made microstructures could be modulated readily by precisely activating the acceptors through a photoisomerization process,leading to a reconstructed FRET process to achieve dynamically switchable ***,dual-color switchable single-mode lasing was realized by selectively constructing the FRET process in an identical coupled microdisks *** results advance a comprehensive understanding of excited-state dynamics in organic composite material systems,thereby providing new ideas for the rational design of miniaturized photonic materials and devices with desired performances.

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common neurodegenerative disease,and has a high level of genetic heritability and population *** this study,we performed the whole-exome sequencing of Han Chinese patients with familial and/or early-onset Alzheimer’s disease,followed by independent validation,imaging analysis and function *** identified an exome-wide significant rare missense variant rs3792646(p.K420Q)in the C7 gene in the discovery stage(P=1.09×10-6,odds ratio=7.853)and confirmed the association in different cohorts and a combined sample(1615 cases and 2832 controls,Pcombined=2.99×10-7,odds ratio=1.930).The risk allele was associated with decreased hippocampal volume and poorer working memory performance in early adulthood,thus resulting in an earlier age of disease *** of the mutant p.K420Q disturbed cell viability,immune activation and β-amyloid *** analyses showed that the mutant p.K420Q impairs the inhibitory effect of wild type C7 on the excitatory synaptic transmission in pyramidal *** findings suggested that C7 is a novel risk gene for Alzheimer’s disease in Han Chinese.

Background: To report the clinical features of surgically induced scleral staphyloma and investigate the ***: Retrospective uncontrolled ***: A full ophthalmological evaluation of surgically induced scleral staphyloma in four patients was performed. The first patient was a 3-year-old young girl underwent corneal dermoid resection. The second patient was a 60-year-old man underwent nasal pterygium excision and conjunctival autograft without Mitomycin C(MMC). The other two were respectively a 74-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man underwent cataract surgery. All patients performed allogeneic sclera patch graft. In the at least half a year follow-up, the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA) of all the four patients were no worse than that of preoperative. Ocular symptoms disappeared, including eye pain, foreign body sensation, and so on. Unfortunately, the fourth patient showed sclera rejection and partial dissolution at postoperative 1 month. Conclusions: Surgically induced scleral staphyloma must be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients with staphyloma following corneal dermoid, pterygium, and cataract surgery. Allogeneic sclera patch graft is one of the methods for treating scleral staphyloma. However sclera rejection and dissolution should be considered postoperatively.

Heading date is a crucial agronomic ***,rice usually delays heading due to the photoperiod,temperature,hormones or *** present research was conducted to analyze the mechanism cotrlling heading date in F,hybrid *** constructed two test-crossing populations using two introgression lines(ILs),P20 and P21 coming from SH527/FH838 as the male parent,respectively,and male sterile line Jin23A as the female ***,the F,hybrids of H20,obtained by mating P20 with Jin23A and having no heading,and H21,from the crossing between P21 and Jin23A having normal heading,were both observed under long ***,we analyzed the photoperiodic response of F,hybrids by transcriptome and metabolome *** greater differences displayed in the transcriptome and the metabolome were caused by photoperiod(exogenous)instead of genes(endogenous).The coping mechanism resulted from long days(LD)in H20,leading to differences in the circadian rhythm and glutathione metabolism relative to other *** circadian oscillator and GSH/GSSG cycle typically regulate ROS homeostasis,and both of them are responsible for modulating ROS in H20 under LD *** circadian rhythm genes and the reported genes related to heading date function via the DHD1/OsMFT1-Ehd1-RFT1-OsMADS14/OsMADS18 pathway and the glutathione metabolism pathway by regulating oxidative reduction *** pathways are involved in the heading process and they interacted through the oxidative reduction process which was induced by photoperiod regulation,and all of them collectively modulated the heading *** results of this study will be helpful for unraveling the mechanism of F,hybrid responses to unheading under LD condition.

The availability of high-resolution satellite precipitation measurement products provides an opportunity to monitor precipitation over large and complex terrain and thus accurately evaluate the climatic,hydrological and ecological conditions in those *** Global Precipitation Measurement(GPM)mission is an important new program designed for global satellite precipitation estimation,but little information has been reported on the applicability of the GPM’s products for the Tibetan Plateau(TP).The object of this study is to evaluate the accuracy of the Integrated Multi-Satellite Retrievals for GPM(IMERG)Final Run product under different terrain and climate conditions over the TP by using 78 ground gauges from April 2014 to December *** results showed the following:(1)the 3-year average daily precipitation estimation in the IMERG agrees well with the rain gauge observations(R^2=0.58,P<0.01),and IMERG also has a considerable ability to detect precipitation,as indicated by a high probability of detection(78%-98%)and critical success index(65%-85%);(2)IMERG performed better at altitudes from 3000 m to 4000 m with a small relative bias(RB)of 6.4%.Precipitation change was not significantly affected by local relief;(3)the climate system of the TP was divided into four climate groups with a total of 12 climate types based on the K?ppen climate classification system,and IMERG performed well in all climate types with the exception of the arid-desert-cold climate(Bwk)***,although IMERG showed the potential to detect snowfall,it still exhibits deficiencies in identifying light and moderate *** results indicate that IMERG could provide more accurate precipitation data if its retrieval algorithm was improved for complex terrain and arid regions.

The limited molecular classifications and disease signatures of osteoarthritis(OA)impede the development of prediagnosis and targeted therapeutics for OA *** classify and understand the subtypes of OA,we collected three types of tissue including cartilage,subchondral bone,and synovium from multiple clinical centers and constructed an extensive transcriptome atlas of OA *** applying unsupervised clustering analysis to the cartilage transcriptome,OA patients were classified into four subtypes with distinct molecular signatures:a glycosaminoglycan metabolic disorder subtype(C1),a collagen metabolic disorder subtype(C2),an activated sensory neuron subtype(C3),and an inflammation subtype(C4).Through ligand-receptor crosstalk analysis of the three knee tissue types,we linked molecular functions with the clinical symptoms of different OA *** example,the Gene Ontology functional term of vasculature development was enriched in the subchondral bone-cartilage crosstalk of C2 and the cartilage-subchondral bone crosstalk of C4,which might lead to severe osteophytes in C2 patients and apparent joint space narrowing in C4 *** on the marker genes of the four OA subtypes identified in this study,we modeled OA subtypes with two independent published RNA-seq datasets through random forest *** findings of this work contradicted traditional OA diagnosis by medical imaging and revealed distinct molecular subtypes in knee OA patients,which may allow for precise diagnosis and treatment of OA.

Effect of Mg addition on the compositions of inclusions were studied. The results show that Mg can minimize the inclusions of steel obviously. Under the present condition, Mg deoxidation products of low-S content experimental steel would be changed in the order of Al2O3→MgAl2O4→Mg–Al–O–S→Mg–O–S. Mg deoxidation products of high-S content experimental steel generate Mg–S(–O)+MnS type inclusions, except for usual oxysulfide. And it is consistent with the results of thermodynamics calculation. Mg is preferred to react with oxide, compared with sulfide. The reaction reaches the equilibrium after 1 min or 5 min. It shows that the number and diameter of inclusions in all experimental steel samples are well under control, helping to improve the properties of steel.

Compared with the use of monocultures in the field,cultivation of medicinal herbs in forests is an effective strategy to alleviate *** interactions between herbs and trees play an important role in disease suppression in *** evaluated the ability of leachates from needles of Pinus armandii to induce resistance in Panax notoginseng leaves,identified the components via gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),and then deciphered the mechanism of 2,3-Butanediol as the main component in the leachates responsible for resistance induction via RNA sequencing(RNA-seq).Prespraying leachates and 2,3-Butanediol onto leaves could induce the resistance of *** to Alternaria *** RNA-seq results showed that prespraying 2,3-Butanediol onto leaves with or without *** infection upregulated the expression of large number of genes,many of which are involved in transcription factor activity and the mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) signaling ***,2,3-Butanediol spraying resulted in jasmonic acid(JA)-mediated induced systemic resistance(ISR) by activating MYC2 and ***,2,3-Butanediol induced systemic acquired resistance(SAR) by upregulating pattern-triggered immunity(PTI)-and effector-triggered immunity(ETI)-related genes and activated camalexin biosynthesis through activation of ***,2,3-Butanediol from the leachates of pine needles could activate the resistance of *** to leaf disease infection through ISR,SAR and camalexin ***,2,3-Butanediol is worth developing as a chemical inducer for agricultural production.
