Selection of microalgae for high CO_2 fixation efficiency and lipid accumulation from ten Chlorella strains using municipal wastewater

As significant differences in cellular physiology, metabolic potential and genetics occur among strains with morphological similarity, the screening of appropriate microalgae species for effective CO2 fixation and biodiesel production is extremely critical. In this study, ten strains of Chlorella were cultivated in municipal wastewater influent（MWI） and their tolerance for MWI, CO2 fixation efficiency and lipid productivity were assessed. The results showed that the biomass concentrations of four strains（Chlorella vulgaris, Chlorella64.01, Chlorella regularis var. minima and Chlorella sp.） were significantly higher than other strains. When the cultivation systems were aerated with 10% CO2, Chlorella sp. showed the highest CO2 fixation efficiency（35.51%）, while the highest lipid accumulation（58.48%） was observed with C. vulgaris. Scanning electron microscopy images revealed that the cells of both Chlorella sp. and C. vulgaris kept their normal morphologies after 15 day batch *** findings indicated that Chlorella sp. and C. vulgaris have fairly good tolerance for MWI,and moreover, Chlorella sp. was appropriate for CO2 fixation while C. vulgaris represented the highest potential for producing biodiesel.

There has been a recent line of work to automatically detect the emotions of posts in social *** literature,studies treat posts independently and detect their emotions *** from previous studies,we explore the dependence among relevant posts via authors'backgrounds,since the authors with similar backgrounds,e.g.,"gender","location",tend to express similar ***,personal attributes are not easy to obtain in most social media ***,we propose two approaches to determine personal attributes and capture personal attributes between different posts for emotion detection:the Joint Model with Personal Attention Mechanism(JPA)model is used to detect emotion and personal attributes jointly,and capture the attributes-aware words to connect similar people;the Neural Personal Discrimination(NPD)model is employed to determine the personal attributes from posts and connect the relevant posts with similar attributes for emotion *** results show the usefulness of personal attributes in emotion detection,and the effectiveness of the proposed JPA and NPD approaches in capturing personal attributes over the state-of-the-art statistic and neural models.

Lipids play an important role in platelet integrity and ***,most of lipid molecular compositions in platelets still remain unknown,especially for *** this work,we characterized detailed structures of different classes of phospholipids in human *** a flow microreactor,the acetone Paternò-Büchi reaction was introduced for online derivatization of carbon-carbon double bond(C=C)of lipids right after separation by liquid chromatography(LC).Tandem mass spectrometry(MS/MS)methods were developed for multi-level structural identification of phospholipids,including head group,chain composition,and C=C locations in the fatty acyl/alkyl *** optimization of the workflow,a total of 110 molecular species of phospholipids were identified in the human platelet samples,including many C=C location *** lipid class level,phosphatidylserine was found more abundant in the platelet samples than that of the plasma samples;at isomer level,the relative ratio of C18:1(Δ9)vs C18:1(Δ11)also increased in platelet samples comparing with that of the plasma *** detailed structural information of phospholipids and their C=C isomers ratios would be useful for investigation of potential functions of human platelets potentially associated with phospholipid isomers.

The etiology of IBD remains unclear. Environmental factors, a genetic predisposition and a disturbed immunological response all contribute to the development of the disease. Even though pathogens have not been identified as a cause of IBD, persistent infections are highly suspected, including Mycobacterium paratuberculosis and measles virus in CD, and an unknown bacterial infection and/ or bacterial products in UC. Smoking has been suggested to be a strong risk factor in CD, and in determining the clinical course of UC and CD. Disturbances of the mucosal immune system and an imbalance of immune regulation presented by cellular and/ or humoral abnormalities as well as functions of pro-inflammatory cytokines and anti-inflammatory cytokines, and other mediators were observed in IBD patients and are considered to be fundamental to the pathogenesis of IBD. Because of the multiplicity and complexity of the interactions of all these elements, it is difficult to distinguish between primary and secondary, and pathogenic and non-pathogenic phenomena[248]. With the development of transgenic and knockout rodent models, it is possible to define the critical immune elements necessary to develop IBD. Recent studies demonstrated that mucosal homeostasis is important and a defective mucosal barrier may allow unrestrained uptake of luminal antigens and pro-inflammatory molecules and thus initiate immune responses. Some evidence for an imbalance of pro-and anti-inflammatory cytokines and of Th1/Th2 lymphocytes have been found in chronic intestinal inflammation. pANCA are present in more than 70% of UC patients, but their role as a subclinical marker of UC needs to be confirmed. As to genetic factors, epidemiological studies have demonstrated the influence of genetic factors on the development of IBD by phenomena such as ethnic variations, familial aggregation, monozygotic twins versus dizygotic twins, and first degree relatives versus spouses. Copper azide with high density was successfully synthesized by in-situ reaction of nanoporous copper(NPC)precursor with HN_(3) *** with pore size of about 529 nm has been prepared by electroless plating using polystyrene(PS)as *** copper shells thickness of NPC was controlled by adjusting the PS loading *** effects of copper shell on the morphology,structure and density of copper azide were *** conversion increased from 87.12%to 95.31%when copper shell thickness decrease from 100 to 50 ***,the density of copper azide prepared by 529 nm NPC for 24 h was up to 2.38 g/cm^(3).The hollow structure of this NPC was filled by swelling of copper azide which guaranteed enough filling volume for keeping the same shape as well as improving the charge ***,HNS-IV explosive was successfully initiated by copper azide with minimum charge thickness of 0.55 mm,showing that copper azide prepared has excellent initiation performance,which has more advantages in the application of miniaturized explosive systems.

The applications of single-cell and spatial technologies in recent times have revolutionized the present understanding of cellular states and the cellular heterogeneity inherent in complex biological systems. These advancements offer unprecedented resolution in the examination of the functional genomics of individual cells and their spatial context within tissues. In this review, we have comprehensively discussed the historical development and recent progress in the field of single-cell and spatial genomics. We have reviewed the breakthroughs in single-cell multi-omics technologies, spatial genomics methods, and the computational strategies employed toward the analyses of singlecell atlas data. Furthermore, we have highlighted the advances made in constructing cellular atlases and their clinical applications,particularly in the context of disease. Finally, we have discussed the emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in this rapidly evolving field.
