Diurnal characteristics of geoelectric fields and their changes associated with the Alxa Zuoqi M_S5.8 earthquake on 15 April 2015(Inner Mongolia)

In China, efforts are being made to monitor geoelectric fields through a large network of stations deployed and managed by the China Earthquake Administration. The diurnal variations in the geoelectric field waveforms were similar in the quiet magnetic periods when K〈5 （generally, K〈3 indicates a quiet time）. The arrival time points of the maxima in the geoelectric field waveforms exhibited differences in local time related to geographic longitude. The amplitude of diurnal variation was several to 16.6 mV/km and decreased with increasing latitude. Further, the amplitude of diurnal variation, which was related to seasonal changes, was larger in summer and autumn than in spring and winter. The periods of diurnal changes during quiet days were 24, 12, 8, 6, 4 hours and several minutes over large areas. Finally, the observed diurnal variations in geoelectric field prior to the Alxa Zuoqi Ms5.8 earthquake on 15 April 2015 were studied, and pronounced changes in the spectral values of the geoelectric fields were found to be associated with the Alxa Zuoqi earthquake in Inner Mongolia.

Both the photosynthetic light curves and CO2 curves of Juglans regia L. and Ziziphus jujuba Mill. var. spinosa in three seasons were measured using a LI-6400 portable photosynthesis system. The maximal net photosynthetic rate （Amax）, apparent quantum efficiency（φ）, maximal carboxylation rate （Vcmax） and water use efficiency （WUE） of the two species were calculated based on the curves. The results showed that Amax of J. regia reached its maximum at the late-season, while the highest values of Amax of Z. jujuba occurred at the mid-season. The Amax of J. regia was more affected by relative humidity （RH） of the atmosphere, while that of Z. jujuba was more affected by the air temperature. Light saturation point （LSP） and Light compensation point （LCP） of J. regia had a higher correlation with RH of the atmosphere, those of Z. jujuba, however, had a higher correlation with air temperature. Vcmax of both J. regia and Z. jujuba had negative correlation with RH of the atmosphere. WUE of J. regia would decrease with the rise of the air temperature while that of Z. jujuba increased. Thus it could be seen that RH, temperature and soil moisture had main effect on photosynthesis and WUE of J. regia and Z. jujuba. Incorporating data on the physiological differences among tree species into forest carbon models will greatly improve our ability to predict alterations to the forest carbon budgets under various environmental scenarios such as global climate change, or with differing species composition.

A kind of complex additive mainly containing Al, Mg, F, and O was prepared. The synthetical performances of the property-modified prebaked anodes containing additives were tested in laboratory. On the basis of ideal testing results obtained, a large number of industrial prebaked property-modified anodes are prepared in a large-scale aluminum company. Further more, they are all used in 160 kA prebaked anode aluminum electrolysis cells. The statistic result show that, compared with common anodes, the property-modified ones enhance current by 11.6 kg per ton aluminum averagely.

Identity-based cryptography （IBC） has drawn a lot of attentions in delay tolerant environment. However, the high computational cost of IBC becomes the most critical issue in delay tolerant mobile sensor network （DTMSN） because of the limited processing power. In this paper, an efficient identify-based signature scheme with batch authentication （ISBA） is proposed for DTMSN. ISBA designs an online/offline signature with batch authentication to reduce the computational cost, and improves data delivery mechanism to increase the number of messages for each batch authentication. Simulation results show that ISBA not only realizes a lower computational cost than existed schemes, but also does not induce negative impact on the delivery performance.

AIM:To observe the clinical efficacy of the combined use of small incision lenticule extraction(SMILE)-derived lenticule patches in corneal dermoid excision,with fixation of the lenticule patches assisted by fibrin ***:Seventeen eyes of 17 patients with corneal dermoid were treated with dermoid removal combined with SMILE-derived lenticule *** lenticule patches were fixed by fibrin *** changes were assessed using slit lamp microscopy and anterior-segmental optical coherence *** best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA)and ocular dioptric variations were examined preoperatively and *** pressure(IOP)was also monitored in all visited ***:Totally,18 lenticule patches were used on 17 eyes of 17 cornea dermoid *** mean follow-up time was 11.47±*** lenticule patches we resuccessfullyg lued,kept on its location and maintained transparent during the follow-up time,with a consecutive epithelial cover for *** of the patients could coordinate visual and optometry exam *** preoperative BCVA is 0.60±0.35 in decimal,significantly improved to 0.80±0.26 in decimal at 6mo postoperatively(Z=-2.392,P=0.017),but the changes of their corneal astigmatism diopters showed no significance,with 2.22±1.91 D preoperatively,and 2.28±1.31 D at 6mo postoperatively(Z=-0.135,P=0.893).Limbal pannus formation occurred in 4(23.52%)cases and decreased with the application of tacrolimus *** increased in 2(11.76%)cases,but well decreased by timolol maleate *** the adult patients or guardians of minor patients were satisfied with the cosmetic ***:Dermoid excision combined with transplantation of SMILE-derived lenticule patches using fibrin glue is a safe and effective novel tectonic keratoplasty procedure for corneal dermoid.

With the development of information and communication technologies,all public tertiary hospitals in China began to use online outpatient appointment ***,the phenomenon of patient no-shows in online outpatient appointments is becoming more *** objective of this study is to design a prediction model for patient no-shows,thereby assisting hospitals in making relevant decisions,and reducing the probability of patient no-show *** used 382,004 original online outpatient appointment records,and divided the data set into a training set(N_(1)=286,503),and a validation set(N_(2)=95,501).We used machine learning algorithms such as logistic regression,k-nearest neighbor(KNN),boosting,decision tree(DT),random forest(RF)and bagging to design prediction models for patient no-show in online outpatient *** patient no-show rate of online outpatient appointment was 11.1%(N=42,224).From the validation set,bagging had the highest area under the ROC curve and AUC value,which was 0.990,followed by random forest and boosting models,which were 0.987 and 0.976,*** contrast,compared with the previous prediction models,the area under ROC and AUC values of the logistic regression,decision tree,and k-nearest neighbors were lower at 0.597,0.499 and 0.843,*** study demonstrates the possibility of using data from multiple sources to predict patient *** prediction model results can provide decision basis for hospitals to reduce medical resource waste,develop effective outpatient appointment policies,and optimize operations.

Chikungunya virus(CHIKV) is a mosquito-borne alphavirus. As an emerging virus, CHIKV imposes a threat to public health. Currently, there are no vaccines or antivirals available for the prevention of CHIKV infection. Lycorine, an alkaloid from Amaryllidaceae plants, has antiviral activity against a number of viruses such as coronavirus, flavivirus and enterovirus. In this study, we found that lycorine could inhibit CHIKV in cell culture at a concentration of 10 lmol/L without apparent cytotoxicity. In addition, it exhibited broad-spectrum anti-alphavirus activity, including Sindbis virus(SINV),Semliki Forest virus(SFV), and Venezuelan equine encephalomyelitis virus(VEEV). The time of addition studies indicated that lycorine functions at an early post-entry stage of CHIKV life cycle. The results based on two different CHIKV replicons provided further evidence that lycorine exerts its antiviral activity mainly by inhibiting CHIKV ***, our study extends the antiviral spectrum of lycorine.

The mechanical properties of as-extruded AZ80 magnesium alloy at temperatures of 450-525℃ and strain rates of 3.0 s^(−1)and 0.15 s^(−1)were investigated by tensile *** ductility of alloy appeared at 500℃ with a strain rate of 0.15 s^(−1),while the zero strength and zero ductility of the alloy were obtained nearly simultaneously at 525℃ with a strain rate of 3.0 s^(−1).The results indicated that the lower strain rate accelerated the arrival of zero *** the temperature increased,the failure mode of the alloy developed from trans-granular fracture to cleavage fracture and then to inter-granular fracture with the feature of sugar-like grains and fusion *** existence of the low-melting composite ofβ-Mg_(17)Al_(12) and Al_(8)Mn_(5) particles segregated near the Mg_(17)Al_(12) phase along grain boundaries were demonstrated to be the reason for the brittle fracturing of the AZ80 alloy at high ***,microstructural evolution at temperatures approaching the solidus temperature was discussed to clarify magnesium alloy’s high temperature deformation mechanism.
