The prediction skill of Arctic Oscillation (AO) in the decadal experiments with the Beijing Climate Center Climate System Model version 1.1 (BCC_CSM1.1) is assessed. As compared with the observations and historical experiments, the contribution of initialization for climate model to predict the seasonal scale AO and its interannual variations is estimated. Results show that the spatial correlation coefficient of AO mode simulated by the decadal experiment is higher than that in the historical experiment. The two groups of experiments reasonably reproduce the characteristics that AO indices are the strongest in winter and the weakest in summer. Compared with historical experiments, the correlation coefficient of the monthly and winter AO indices are higher in the decadal experiments. In particular, the correlation coefficient of monthly AO index between decadal hindcast and observation reached 0.1 significant level. Furthermore, the periodicity of the monthly and spring AO indices are achieved only in the decadal experiments. Therefore, the initial state of model is initialized by using sea temperature data may help to improve the prediction skill of AO in the decadal prediction experiments to some extent.

Pomegranates is abundant in polyphenols and is well-known for its antioxidant activity. Punicalagin （PG） is a major poly- phenolic compound in the pomegranate peel. In certain conditions, PG can be hydrolyzed to punicallin （PL） and ellagic acid （EA）, and PL can be further hydrolyzed to EA. PG, PL, and EA all play important roles in the antioxidant activity of pomegranate peels. This study was conducted to compare the in vitro antioxidant activity and in vivo anti-oxidative stress effects of PG, PL, and EA. For the in vitro test, 2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazyl radical （DPPH.） and superoxide anion （O2~） scavenging capacities, ferric-reducing antioxidant power （FRAP）, and lipid peroxidation （LPO） inhibition capacities of PG, PL, and EA were tested. For the in vivo test, oxidatively stressed mice, which were induced by oxidized fish oil, were administrated PG, PL or EA （10 mg kg-1 d-1） for 21 days. The results showed that the in vitro antioxidant activity trends were EA〉PG〉PL〉Trolox in scavenging DPPH., PG〉PL〉EA=Trolox in scavenging O2~, EA〉PG=PL〉Trolox in FRAP, and Trolox〉PG〉EA〉PL in LPO inhibition. In the in vivo test, the EAt＇reatment increased the average daily weight gain and total antioxidant capacity （T-AOC） in the plasma （P〈0.05）, liver （P〈0.05）, and intestine （P〈0.05） in oxidatively stressed mice. It increased the superoxide dismutase （SOD） activity in the liver （P〈0.05） and intestine （P〈0.05）. It increased the glutathi- one peroxidase （GSH-Px） activity in the intestine （P〈0.05） and the intestinal villus height to crypt depth ratio （P〈0.05）. EA treatment decreased the malondialdehyde （MDA） content in the plasma （P〈0.05）, liver （P〈0.05）, and intestine （P〈0.05） and the mRNA expressions of the pro-inflammatory factors, TNF-a （P〈0.05）, IFN-y （P〈0.05） and IL-6 （P〈0.05）. Through quantitative statistics and morphological characterization of ceramic fragments for ceramic composite bulletproof insert plates(CCBIPs),distribution characteristics of ceramic fragments within a specific size range were analyzed for different Armor Piercing Incendiary(API)and shot *** quantitatively evaluate the effect of energy absorption for ceramic plates,a model of energy absorption during penetration for CCBIPs was established based on statistics of the size distribution of ceramic fragments(SDCF).Variation in the SDCF and its influence on energy absorption for CCBIPs were *** results indicate that the distribution feature of ceramic fragments in the range of 0.25-2.25 mm is Gaussian *** with Type 56 of API(56-API),ceramic fragments formed by 53-API with higher kinetic energy possess more quantity and more concentrated distribution,whose average equivalence size decreases by 6.5%,corresponding to increasing by 83.9%of estimated energy ***,the ability of CCBIPs to resist the third shot is significantly weakened,whose estimated energy absorption decreases by 58.8%compared with the first *** concentrated distribution and fewer fragments are formed after the third shot,the average equivalence size of ceramic fragments increases by 6.9%,which may attribute to the micro-cracks induced by the previous two shots.

This study was designed to explore the safety and feasibility of robotic-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy with vein thrombectomy (RAL-NVT) for the treatment of renal cell carcinoma (RCC)with venous tumor thrombus (VTT).Clinical data of 6 patients treated with RAL-NVT between July 2016 and November 2017 in our hospital were retrospectively collected and *** were 5 males and 1 female with their age ranging from 48 years to 68 *** renal tumors were right-sided and one left-sided. Three cases fell in level 0 VTT,one in level I and two in level Ⅱ.preoperative imaging revealed lymph node involvement in 1 case and distant metastasis in 2 *** RCC with level 0 VTT,the renal vein of the affected side was adequately and carefully dissected around the thrombus to the proximity of inferior vena cava (IVC)and was ligated with Hem-o-loks without cross-clamping the *** level Ⅰ and Ⅱ VTT,the IVC was cross-clamped cephalically and caudally around the tumor thrombus and all tributaries were sequentially blocked to ensure the safe retrieval of *** operations were successfully completed without conversion to open *** mean operative time was 150(115-230)***-clamping of the IVC happened in 3 cases,and the blocking time was 14, 19 and 20min,*** mean estimated blood loss during the operation was 400 (200-580)*** peritoneal drainage tube was removed 5 to 9 days after the operation, and all patients were postoperatively discharged at 6 to 11 *** pathological analysis confirmed that the RCCs were comprised of 4 clear cell RCCs,1 papillary cell RCC,and 1 medullary cell RCC;2 cases were Fuhrman grade Ⅱ,3 cases grade Ⅲ,and 1 case undefined *** recurrence or progression was observed during the follow-up of 4.2(3-6)*** concluded that RAL-NVT is highly challenging but safe and feasible for the treatment of RCC with VTT.

The genus Corylus is an important member in the Betulaceae family of the order Fagales. Self-incompatibility is one of the choke points in breeding and hazelnut production. This reviewe describes, the progress on pollen-stigma compatibility in Corylus, including basic re- productive characteristics, S-alleles testing and their applications, in- ter-specific hybridization, self-compatibility in wild species, and recent molecular research on the genetic mechanism of compatibility. Com- pared with other species, progress on pollen-stigma compatibility （sporophytic self-incompatibility, SSI） in Corylus is slow, especially those in the Brassicaceae family. De novo approaches should be used to target the unique reproductive characteristics of hazelnuts. The continu- ous improvement of technological platforms based on molecular biology should broaden the pathways in investigating compatibility in Corylus. In addition, research should be conducted on overcoming self- and cross- incompatibility, and approaches based on biological, chemical, and physical principles should be introduced. Both theoretical and practical study of compatibility in Corylus should be devoted to change the self-incompatibility trait into a benefit in the species evolvement and nut quality establishment.

BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is a common malignant tumor worldwide. Many regions across the world have issued various HCC diagnosis and treatment protocols to improve the diagnosis and targeted treatment of patients with HCC. However, real-world studies analysing the practice, application value, and existing problems of the China Liver Cancer(CNLC) staging system are *** To analyze the current situation and problems associated with the Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Primary Liver Cancer in *** We collected the medical records of all patients with HCC admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2019, and recorded the hospitalization information of those patients until December 31, 2020. All information on the diagnosis and treatment of the target patients was recorded, and their demographic and sociological characteristics, CNLC stages, screening situations, and treatment methods and effects were analyzed. The survival status of the patients was obtained from follow-up *** This study included the medical records of 3022 patients with HCC. Among these cases, 304 patients were screened before HCC diagnosis;their early-stage diagnosis rate was 69.08%, which was significantly higher than that of patients with HCC who were diagnosed without screening and early detection(33.74%). Herein, patients with no clinical outcome at discharge were followed up, and the survival information of 1128 patients was obtained. A Cox model was used to analyse independent risk factors affecting overall survival, which were revealed as age > 50 years, no screening, alpha-fetoprotein > 400 ng/mL, Child–Pugh grade B, and middle and late CNLC stages. Polycrystalline Ni-rich layered oxide (Li Ni_(x)Co_(y)Mn_zO_(2)(NCM),x>0.8) cathode material with high specific capacity and low cost is considered as one of the most promising candidate materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs).However,it suffers from severe structural and capacity degradation during practical cycling,especially under harsh operation condition(ultrahigh cutoff voltage and elevated temperature,etc.).One promising approach to mitigate these issues is to develop a single-crystal Ni-rich NCM cathode,which could enhance structural integrity and improve capacity retention,due to its robust and stable micro-sized primary ***,the improved cyclic stability comes at the expense of reversible capacity and rate capability,owing to the relatively low Li^(+) diffusion efficiency for its micron-sized primary ***,the structural degradation and exacerbation of interfacial reactions for the Ni-rich NCM cathode under highvoltage (≥4.5 V) would quickly trigger the poor electrochemical performance,limiting its practical ***,Li Ni_(0.827)Co_(0.11)Zr_(0.003)Mn_(0.06)O_(2)(Zr@SC-N_(83)) cathode material was successfully synthesized via the in situ doping *** could not only effectively maintain the reversibility of phase transition between H2 and H3 after long-term cycling at high voltage (4.6 V),but also enhance lithium-ion diffusion,thus improving the cycling performance and good rate performance for the Zr@SC-N_(83)*** a result,0.3 wt%Zrdoping cathode delivers an initial discharging capacity of 200.1 m Ah·g^(-1)at 1.0C and at the high cutoff voltage of 4.6 V,exhibiting the satisfactory capacity retention of 85.5%after *** provides an effective route toward low-cost and higher energy density for lithium-ion batteries with Ni-rich cathode.
