Photocatalytic hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))production offers a clean and cost-efficient alternative to the traditional anthraquinone oxidation approach.Herein,a step-scheme(S-scheme)heterojunction photocat-alyst is fabricated by coupling TiO_(2)with three dimensionally ordered macroporous sulfur-doped graphitic carbon nitride(3DOM SCN/T)by electrostatic self-assembly.The optimized photocatalyst achieved a high photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production activity with a yield of 2128μmol h^(−1)g^(−1)without the addition of hole scavengers.The remarkable performance was attributed to the synergy between the 3DOM framework and the S-scheme heterojunction.The former enhances light harvesting and provides abundant active sites for surface reactions,while the latter promotes the spatial separation of photogenerated carriers and enhances the redox power.Finally,the mechanism of photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production over the 3DOM SCN/T S-scheme composite is proposed.This work provides novel insights into the development of effi-cient photocatalysts for H_(2)O_(2)production from water and O_(2).

Firefighting protective clothing is a crucial protective equipment for firefighters to minimize skin burn and ensure safety firefighting operation and rescue mission.A recent increasing concern is to develop self-powered fire warning materials that can be incorporated into the firefighting clothing to achieve active fire protection for firefighters before the protective clothing catches fire on fireground.However,it is still a challenge to facilely design and manufacture thermoelectric(TE)textile(TET)-based fire warning electronics with dynamic surface conformability and breathability.Here,we develop an alternate coaxial wet-spinning strategy to continuously produce alternating p/n-type TE aerogel fibers involving n-type Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene and p-type MXene/SWCNT-COOH as core materials,and tough aramid nanofiber as protective shell,which simultaneously ensure the flexibility and high-efficiency TE power generation.With such alternating p/n-type TE fibers,TET-based self-powered fire warning sensors with high mechanical stability and wearability are successfully fabricated through stitching the alternating p-n segment TE fibers into aramid fabric.The results indicate that TET-based fire warning electronics containing 50 p-n pairs produce the open-circuit voltage of 7.5 mV with a power density of 119.79 nW cm-2 at a temperature difference of 300℃.The output voltage signal is then calculated as corresponding surface temperature of firefighting clothing based on a linear relationship between TE voltage and temperature.The fire alarm response time and flame-retardant properties are further displayed.Such self-powered fire warning electronics are true textiles that offer breathability and compatibility with body movement,demonstrating their potential application in firefighting clothing.

Abstract In this paper,we study the asymptotic properties for estimators of two parameters in the drift function in the ergodic fractional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process with Hurst index H∈(0,1/2).The Cramér-type moderate deviations,as well as the moderation deviations with explicit rate function can be obtained.The main methods consist of the deviation inequalities and Cramér-type moderate deviations for multiple WienerIt?integrals,as well as the asymptotic analysis techniques.

Tissue engineering scaffolds have presented effective value in bone repair.However,the integration of the diverse components,complex structures,multifunction to impart the scaffolds with improved applicability is still a challenge.Here,we propose a novel fish-derived scaffold combined with photothermal therapy and mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)to promote bone regeneration.The fish-derived scaffold is composed of the decellularized fish scale and gelatin methacrylate synthesized from fish gelatin(fGelMA),which can promote the proliferation and osteogenesis of MSCs with no obvious immunological rejection.Furthermore,the black phosphorus(BP)nanosheets are incorporated into the fGelMA hydrogel network,which can endow the hydrogel with the capacity of photothermal conversion stimulated by near-infrared(NIR)light.The fish-derived scaffold can promote the osteogenesis process of MSCs with higher expression of osteogenic markers and higher mineralization assisted by the NIR light in vitro.The regeneration of mice calvarial defect has also been accelerated by the scaffold with photothermal therapy and MSCs.These results suggest that the fish-derived scaffold,photothermal therapy,MSCs-based regenerative therapy is a promising clinical strategy in bone regeneration.

Knee osteoarthritis is a chronic disease caused by the deterioration of the knee joint due to various factors such as aging,trauma,and obesity,and the nonrenewable nature of the injured cartilage makes the treatment of osteoarthritis challenging.Here,we present a three-dimensional(3D)printed porous multilayer scaffold based on cold-water fish skin gelatin for osteoarticular cartilage regeneration.To make the scaffold,cold-water fish skin gelatin was combined with sodium alginate to increase viscosity,printability,and mechanical strength,and the hybrid hydrogel was printed according to a pre-designed specific structure using 3D printing technology.Then,the printed scaffolds underwent a double-crosslinking process to enhance their mechanical strength even further.These scaffolds mimic the structure of the original cartilage network in a way that allows chondrocytes to adhere,proliferate,and communicate with each other,transport nutrients,and prevent further damage to the joint.More importantly,we found that cold-water fish gelatin scaffolds were nonimmunogenic,nontoxic,and biodegradable.We also implanted the scaffold into defective rat cartilage for 12 weeks and achieved satisfactory repair results in this animal model.Thus,cold-water fish skin gelatin scaffolds may have broad application potential in regenerative medicine.

The magnetic performance of Nd-Fe-B magnets depends on their grain boundary structure.Intergranular addition and grain boundary diffusion(GBD)process are effective approaches for enhancing coercivity with low material cost.This review summarizes the development of grain boundary modification techniques with emphasis on our recent work using cost-effective non-rare earth(non-RE)sources for GBD.Up to now,heavy rare earth(HRE)based compounds,metals and light rare earth(LRE)based alloys have been successfully employed as the diffusion sources for coercivity enhancement.Inspired from the previous investigations on the intergranular addition of non-RE compounds and alloys for Nd-Fe-B magnets,in 2015,we firstly proposed a novel GBD process based on diffusion source of Mg O.After that,various non-RE diffusion sources have been developed.The fundamentals of non-RE additives and non-RE diffusion sources for hard magnetic properties enhancement of Nd-Fe-B magnets are summarized here based on both the experimental and computational results.In particular,the properties-microstructure relationships of non-RE GBD modified magnets are discussed.The non-RE alloys or compounds modify the composition and structure of the grain boundary by diffusing into the intergranular regions,resulting in enhanced coercivity and corrosion resistance.Recently,we used Al-Cr coatings for both coercivity enhancement and surface protection,which shortens the production process and makes non-RE diffusion sources more competitive.The opportunity and future directions for non-RE GBD are also discussed in this review.

An efficient approach for mesoscale fracture modeling of fully-graded hydraulic concrete

Large coarse aggregates used in fully-graded hydraulic concrete necessitate large specimens for numerical modeling.This leads to a high computational cost for mesoscale modeling and thus slows the development of multiscale modeling of hydraulic mass concrete structures.To overcome this obstacle,an efficient approach for mesoscale fracture modeling of fully-graded hydraulic concrete was developed based on the concept of the governing mesostructure.The mesostructure was characterized by a critical aggregate size.Coarse aggregates smaller than the critical size were homogenized into mortar matrices.Key issues in mesostructure generation of fully-graded hydraulic concrete are discussed,as is the development of mesoscale finite element modeling methodology.The basic concept and implementation procedures of the proposed approach are also described in detail.The numerical results indicated that the proposed approach not only significantly improves the compu-tational efficiency of mesoscale modeling but also captures the dominant fracturing mechanism at the mesoscale and reproduces reasonable fracture properties at the macroscale.Therefore,the proposed approach can serve as a basis for multiscale fracture modeling of hydraulic mass concrete structures.

Metallic zinc(Zn)is one of the most attractive multivalent-metal anode materials in post-lithium batteries because of its high abundance,low cost and high theoretical capacity.However,it usually suffers from large voltage polarization,low Coulombic efficiency and high propensity for dendritic failure during Zn stripping/plating,hindering the practical application in aqueous rechargeable zinc-metal batteries(AR-ZMBs).Here we demonstrate that anionic surfactant-assisted in situ surface alloying of Cu and Zn remarkably improves Zn reversibility of 3D nanoporous Zn electrodes for potential use as high-performance AR-ZMB anode materials.As a result of the zincophilic ZnxCuy alloy shell guiding uniform Zn deposition with a zero nucleation overpotential and facilitating Zn stripping via the ZnxCuy/Zn galvanic couples,the self-supported nanoporous ZnxCuy/Zn electrodes exhibit superior dendrite-free Zn stripping/plating behaviors in ambient aqueous electrolyte,with ultralow polarizations under current densities up to 50 mA cm^(‒2),exceptional stability for 1900 h and high Zn utilization.This enables AR-ZMB full cells constructed with nanoporous ZnxCuy/Zn anode and K_(z)MnO_(2)cathode to achieve specific energy of as high as~430 Wh kg^(‒1)with~99.8%Coulombic efficiency,and retain~86%after long-term cycles for>700 h.

Flapless one-knot suture:a novel surgical technique for transscleral fixation of C-loop intraocular lenses

AIM:To describe a novel suture approach for transscleral fixation of C-loop intraocular lenses(IOL)and to compare the surgical outcomes with the four-haptics posterior chamber(PC)-IOL technique.METHODS:We retrospectively analyzed 16 eyes of 16 patients who underwent transscleral fixation of C-loop PCIOLs using a flapless one-knot suture technique,which were followed up for longer than 17mo.In this technique,the capsulorless IOL was suspended using a single suture for transscleral fixation of four feet.Then we compared its surgical outcomes and complications with the four-haptics PC-IOLs using the Student's t test and Chi-square test.RESULTS:Sixteen patients of 16 eyes with a mean age of 58.3±10.1y(42-76y)who received transscleral C-loop IOL implantation due to trauma,vitrectomy,or cataract surgery with inadequate capsule support showed improved visual acuity.The difference was not significant between two IOLs except the surgery time(P>0.05).The mean operation times of C-loop IOL surgery was 24.1±1.83min and 31.3±4.47min of the four-haptics PC-IOL method(P0.05).We did not detect any optic capture,IOL decentration or dislocation,suture exposed,or cystoid macular edema in patients underwent C-loop IOLs surgery.CONCLUSION:The novel flapless one-knot suture technique for transscleral fixation of C-loop IOL is a simple,reliable,and stable technique.

In local differential privacy(LDP), a challenging problem is the ability to generate highdimensional data while efficiently capturing the correlation between attributes in a dataset. Existing solutions for low-dimensional data synthesis, which partition the privacy budget among all attributes, cease to be effective in high-dimensional scenarios due to the large-scale noise and communication cost caused by the high dimension. In fact, the high-dimensional characteristics not only bring challenges but also make it possible to apply some technologies to break this bottleneck. This paper presents Sam Priv Syn for high-dimensional data synthesis under LDP, which is composed of a marginal sampling module and a data generation module.The marginal sampling module is used to sample from the original data to obtain two-way marginals. The sampling process is based on mutual information, which is updated iteratively to retain, as much as possible,the correlation between attributes. The data generation module is used to reconstruct the synthetic dataset from the sampled two-way marginals. Furthermore, this study conducted comparison experiments on the real-world datasets to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method, with results proving that Sam PrivSyn can not only protect privacy but also retain the correlation information between the attributes.
