A bacterium strain Y3,capable of efficiently degrading pendimethalin,was isolated from activated sludge and identified as Bacillus subtilis according to its phenotypic features and 16 S rRNA phylogenetic *** strain could grow on pendimethalin as a sole carbon source and degrade 99.5%of 100 mg/L pendimethalin within 2.5 days in batch liquid culture,demonstrating a greater efficiency than any other reported *** metabolic products,6-aminopendimethalin,5-amino-2-methyl-3-nitroso-4-（pentan-3-ylamino） benzoic acid,and 8-amino-2-ethyl-5-（hydroxymethyl）-1,2-dihydroquinoxaline-6-carboxylic acid,were identified by HPLC-MS/MS,and a new microbial degradation pathway was proposed.A nitroreductase catalyzing nitroreduction of pendimethalin to 6-aminopendimethalin was detected in the cell lysate of strain *** cofactor was nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate（NADPH） or more preferably nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide（NADH）.The optimal temperature and pH for the nitroreductase were 30℃ and 7.5,***^（2＋）,Ni^（2＋）,Pb^（2＋）,Co^（2＋）,Mn^（2＋） Cu^（2＋）,Ag~＋,and EDTA severely inhibited the nitroreductase activity,whereas Fe^（2＋）,Mg^（2＋）,and Ca^（2＋） enhanced *** study provides an efficient pendimethalin-degrading microorganism and broadens the knowledge of the microbial degradation pathway of pendimethalin.

Recently,a hot topic about warmer and wetter climate change in the arid region of Northwest China,especially in Xinjiang,has attracted much attention by general public and scientific *** study revisits this topic especially for Xinjiang in the Eurasian continental context from multiple perspectives based on most updated CRU high-resolution grid data and China's homogenized station data in 1961–*** conclude that such‘warming-wetting’trend is not a regional phenomenon for Xinjiang but has much larger spatial *** having experienced both temperature and precipitation increases reflecting‘warming-wetting’trend account for more than half of the Eurasian continent since ***,the‘warming-wetting’trend in Xinjiang suggests some unique regional features in response to the global *** drought seems to have relieved to some extent,especially in the mountainous regions in western Xinjiang,the nature of arid and semi-arid climate regime has not ***,the interannual variability of precipitation has enlarged and the increase in extreme precipitation events has a major *** findings suggest that‘warming-wetting’trend in Xinjiang is asymmetric regarding warming and wetting in seasons and intensifying interannual variability and increasing contribution of extreme precipitation to the ***,the current‘warming-wetting’trend in Xinjiang possibly brings us some beneficial impacts for the ecosystem but also increases challenges for water resources utilization and risk management.

Balanced Quantization： An Effective and Efficient Approach toQuantized Neural Networks

Quantized neural networks (QNNs), which use low bitwidth numbers for representing parameters and performing computations, have been proposed to reduce the computation complexity, storage size and memory usage. In QNNs, parameters and activations are uniformly quantized, such that the multiplications and additions can be accelerated by bitwise operations. However, distributions of parameters in neural networks are often imbalanced, such that the uniform quantization determined from extremal values may underutilize available bitwidth. In this paper, we propose a novel quantization method that can ensure the balance of distributions of quantized values. Our method first recursively partitions the parameters by percentiles into balanced bins, and then applies uniform quantization. We also introduce computationally cheaper approximations of percentiles to reduce the computation overhead introduced. Overall, our method improves the prediction accuracies of QNNs without introducing extra computation during inference, has negligible impact on training speed, and is applicable to both convolutional neural networks and recurrent neural networks. Experiments on standard datasets including ImageNet and Penn Treebank confirm the effectiveness of our method. On ImageNet, the top-5 error rate of our 4-bit quantized GoogLeNet model is 12.7%, which is superior to the state-of-the-arts of QNNs.

AIM:To identify the characteristics of morphology, loca- tion and collateral circulation involved in paraesophageal varices (para-EV) of portal hypertension patients with 64-row multidetector computed tomograghy (MDCT). METHODS: Fifty-two of 501 patients with portal hypertensive cirrhosis accompanied with esophageal varices were selected for 64-row MDCT examination af- ter the observation of para-EV. The CT protocol includ- ed unenhanced, arterial and portal phases with a slice thickness of 0.625 mm and a scanning field of 2 cm above the bifurcation to the lower edge of kidney. The CT portal venography (CTPV) was reformatted on AW4.3 workstation. The characteristics of origina- tion, location, morphology and collateral circulation in para-EV were observed. RESULTS: Among the 52 cases of para-EV, 50 showed the originations from the posterior branch of left gastric vein, while the others from the anterior branch. Fifty cases demonstrated their locations close to the esoph- ageal-gastric junction, and the other two cases were extended to the inferior bifurcation of the trachea. The circuitous pattern was observed in 16 cases, while reticulated pattern was seen in 36 cases. Collateral circulation identifi ed 4 cases of single periesophageal varices (peri-EV) communication, 3 cases of single hemiazygous vein, one case of single inferior vena cava, 41 cases of mixed type (collateral communica-tions of at least 2 of above mentioned types) and 3 cases of undetermined communications. Among all the cases, 43 patients showed the communications between para-EV and peri-EV, while hemiazygous vein (43 cases) and inferior vena cava (5 cases) were also involved. CONCLUSION: Sixty-four-row multidetector computed tomograghy portal venography could display the loca- tion, morphology, origin, and collateral types of para- EV, which provides important and referable information for clinical management and disease prognosis.

The accelerated warming over the Tibetan Plateau relative to global means has attracted considerable attention from the scientific ***,the timescale,seasonality and dominant causes of the Tibetan warming amplification have not been *** seasonality of the Tibetan amplification effect at different timescales was revealed in this *** on the optimal fingerprinting attribution method,an attribution study of the Tibetan warming amplification was also conducted after selecting the outperforming model simulations in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6).Results showed that Tibetan warming amplification manifested in the *** annual amplification during 1961–2018 was 0.13°C per *** warming amplification in spring started later than all the other seasons,and the strongest warming amplification occurred in *** change in Tibetan warming amplification also displayed distinct decadal differences at time scales shorter than 30 *** updated models perform better in simulating the surface air temperature change on the global land scale whilst underestimating the warming over the Tibetan Plateau region,which causes a weak amplification in the model ***,the largest deviation comes from *** attribution result reveals that the stronger warming response to human influence on the Tibetan Plateau than the global land is the direct cause of the Tibetan warming *** finding implies the important role of local climate feedback over the Tibetan Plateau.

Epistasis plays an important role in the genetic basis of rice yield traits. Taking interactions into account in breeding programs will help the development of high-yielding rice varieties. In this study, three sets of near isogenic lines （NILs） targeting three QTLs for spikelets per panicle （SPP）, namely qSPP1, qSPP2 and qSPP7, which share the same Zhenshan 97 genetic background, were used to produce an F 2 population in which the three QTLs segregated simultaneously. The genotypes of the individual F 2 plants at the three QTLs were replaced with three markers that are closely linked to the corresponding QTLs. These QTLs were validated in the F 2 and F 3 populations at the single marker level. qSPP7 exhibited major pleiotropic effects on SPP, plant height and heading date. Multifactor analysis of variance was performed for the F 2 population and its progeny. Additive × additive interaction between qSPP2 and qSPP7 had significant effects on SPP in both the F 2 population and its progeny. Both additive and additive × additive interactions could explain about 73% of the total SPP phenotypic variance. The SPP performance of 27 three-locus combinations was ranked and favorable combinations were rec- ommended for rice breeding in different ecosystems.

Organic polymer solar cells （OSCs） and organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells （PSCs） have achieved notable progress over the past several years. A central topic in these fields is exploring electronically efficient, stable and effective hole-transporting layer （HTL） materials. The goal is to enhance hole-collection ability, reduce charge recombination, increase built-in voltage, and hence improve the performance as well as the device stability. Transition metal oxides （TMOs） semiconductors such as NiOx, CuOx, CrOx, MoOx, WO3, and V2O5, have been widely used as HTLs in OSCs. These TMOs are naturally adopted into PSC as HTLs and shows their importance. There are similarities, and also differences in applying TMOs in these two types of main solution processed solar cells. This concise review is on the recent developments of transition metal oxide HTL in OSCs and PSCs. The paper starts from the discussion of the cation valence and electronic structure of the transition metal oxide materials, followed by analyzing the structure-property relationships of these HTLs, which we attempt to give a systematic introduction about the influences of their cation valence, electronic structure, work ftmction and film property on device performance.
