PBQ[1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-(pyridin-3-yl)urea],an enormous potent molluscicide,showed excellent Pomacea canaliculata(***)control activity and low toxicity for other aquatic organisms,but its snail-killing mechanisms are still not fully *** employed an optical method to elucidate PBQ action via a novel fluorescent viscosity probe,*** the viscosity in the test solutions increased,compared with that in pure ethanol,a 54-fold fluorescence intensity enhancement of NCV was observed in 310 cP of 90%***,NCV successfully exhibited a selective fluorescence response towards monensin-induced cellular viscosity changes in HepG2 *** liver,stomach,and foot plantar of the tested snails were frozen and sectioned for fluorescent imaging experiments after the treatment with different PBQ concentrations over various times.A significant fluorescent increase in the snail's liver was observed upon exposure to 0.75 mg/L PBQ for 72 h,which highlighted an increase in *** and eosin(HE)staining further supported PBQ-induced liver damage with a viscosity increase in *** study provides a new rapid optical visualization method to study the killing mechanisms of PBQ and may help discover new chemicals that control snail populations.

Widely used spin-coated nickle oxide (NiOx) based perovskite solar cells often suffer from severe interfacial reactions between the NiOxand adjacent perovskite layers due to surface defect states,which inherently impair device performance in a long-term view,even with surface molecule *** this study,we developed high-quality magnetron-sputtered NiOxthin films through detailed process optimization,and compared systematically sputtered and spin-coated NiOxthin film surfaces from materials to *** sputtered NiOxfilms exhibit improved crystallinity,smoother surfaces,and significantly reduced Ni3+or Ni vacancies compared to their spin-coated ***,the interface between the perovskite and sputtered NiOxfilm shows a substantially reduced density of defect *** solar cells (PSCs) fabricated with our optimally sputtered NiOxfilms achieved a high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of up to 19.93%and demonstrated enhanced stability,maintaining 86.2% efficiency during 500 h of maximum power point tracking under one standard sun ***,with the surface modification using (4-(2,7-dibromo-9,9-dimethylacridin-10(9H)-yl)butyl)p hosphonic acid (DMAcPA),the device PCE was further promoted to 23.07%,which is the highest value reported for sputtered NiOxbased PSCs so far.

High strength steels exhibit superior mechanical properties due to the unique microstructure,which successfully solves the drawback of the inevitable strength-toughness trade-off that occurs in traditional *** we investigated the effect of matrix and precipitates on mechanical properties of Cr-Ni-Mo-V/Nb steel after water quenching and tempering(150-500℃).The results showed that the microstructure of the present steel is noticeably tuned by changing the tempering *** excellent combination of strength(a yield strength of 1308 MPa with a total elongation of 8.2%)and toughness(Charpy V-notch impact toughness of 40.5 J/cm^(2))is obtained upon tempering at 200℃.This is attributed to the lath martensite containing high dislocation density,the martensite-twin substructure,and the strengthening effects of the precipitated needle-likeε-carbides and spherical VC *** acicularε-carbides are replaced by the rod-shaped Fe_(3)C at the tempering temperature of 350℃,resulting in the remarkable deterioration in strength,hardness,and *** carbides formed at a tempering temperature of 500℃ are beneficial to the enhancement of the elongation and toughness,but the strength decreases due to the matrix softening caused by the recovery of dislocation.

Objective:To evaluate the protective effects of gentiopicroside(GPS)against reactive oxygen species(ROS)-induced NOD-like receptor family,pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3)inflammasome activation in endothelial cells,aiming to reduce ***:Eight-week-old male ApoE-deficient mice were randomly divided into 2 groups(n=10 per group):the vehicle group and the GPS treatment *** groups were fed a high-fat diet for 16 ***(40 mg/kg per day)was administered by oral gavage to the GPS group,while the vehicle group received an equivalent volume of the vehicle *** the end of the treatment,blood and aortic tissues were collected for assessments of atherosclerosis,lipid profiles,oxidative stress,and molecular expressions related to NLRP3 inflammasome activation,ROS production,and ***,in vitro experiments on human aortic endothelial cells treated with oxidized low-density lipoprotein(ox-LDL)were conducted to evaluate the effects of GPS on NLRP3 inflammasome activation,pyroptosis,apoptosis,and ROS production,specifically examining the role of the sirtuin 1(SIRT1)/nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)***1 and Nrf2 inhibitors were used to confirm the pathway's ***:GPS treatment significantly reduced atherosclerotic lesions in the en face aorta(P1),as well as in the thoracic and abdominal aortic regions,and markedly decreased sinus lesions within the aortic root(P1).Additionally,GPS reduced oxidative stress markers and proinflammatory cytokines,including interleukin(IL)-1βand IL-18,in lesion areas(P1).In vitro,GPS inhibited ox-LDL-induced NLRP3 activation,as evidenced by reduced NLRP3(P1),apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD,cleaved-caspase-1,and cleavedgasdermin D expressions(all P1).GPS also decreased ROS production,apoptosis,and pyroptosis,with the beneficial effects being significantly reversed by SIRT1 or Nrf2 ***:GPS exe
