We study in the framework of the Langevin model the influence of initial excitation energy(E*) of Hg compound nuclei(CNs) on the sensitivity of the excitation energy at scission(Esc*) to the nuclear friction strength(β).It is shown that the sensitivity is enhanced substantially with increasing E*.Moreover,we find that the significant sensitivity of Esc* to β at high E*is little affected by a marked difference in the neutron-to-proton ratio of a CN and in its size and *** findings suggest that,on the experimental side,a measurement of Esc* in energetic proton-induced spallation reactions can provide not only a sensitive but also a robust probe of nuclear dissipation in fission of highly excited *** development of a suitable approach to spallation reaction is discussed.

BACKGROUND Crab lice(Phthirus pubis)infestation can occur at any age,to either males or females,and across all regions of the ***,cases involving the eyelashes and adjacent eyelids(phthiriasis palpebrarum)are *** occurring as a sexually transmitted disease,crab lice can be spread by poor hygiene or in a dirty environment through direct contact with contaminated skin(hands)or textiles(towels and clothing).CASE SUMMARY A 50-year-old woman presented to our hospital with a 2-wk history of chronic eyelid pain and itching in the right eye,which exacerbated in the evening hours and which had not resolved following a 1-wk course of antibiotics and corticosteroid ointments(for blepharitis diagnosis from another hospital).A careful ophthalmic slit-lamp and light microscope examination revealed multiple crab lice and nits on the right upper eyelashes;the right and left lower eyelashes were *** the new diagnosis of phthiriasis palpebrarum,the patient was treated by removing the affected eyelashes,the crab lice,and their nits ***,the eyelids were washed once with povidone-iodine.A follow-up examination at 2 wk later showed complete resolution of symptoms and no evidence of *** This case emphasizes the importance of correct diagnosis and complete removal of eyelashes,crab lice and nits to cure phthiriasis palpebrarum.

The influence of isospin on the excess of evaporation residue cross section over its standard statistical-model value for nuclei ^194pb, ^200Pb, and ^206pb is studied via a Langevin equation coupled with a statistical decay model. The magnitude of this excess for a low-isospin fissioning nucleus is shown to be larger and its dependence on the nuclear viscosity coefficient to be stronger than those of a high-isospin fissioning nucleus. These results suggest that to obtain a more accurate information of viscosity coefficient inside the saddle point by measuring evaporation residue cross sections, we had better choose those compound systems with small isospin.

Advancing efficient and affordable electrocatalysts to boost the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is pivotal for sustainable green hydrogen ***,we propose the fabrication of nickel-iron alloy nanoparticles-encapsulated on N-doped vertically aligned graphene array on carbon cloth(NiFe@NVG/CC)as a highly active three-dimensional(3D)catalyst electrode for *** 1 M KOH,such NiFe@NVG/CC demonstrates outstanding catalytic performance,necessitating merely overpotential of 245 mV for achieving a current density of 10 mA·cm^(−2),a remarkably low Tafel slope of 36.2 mV·dec^(−1).Furthermore,density functional theory calculations validate that the incorporate of N species into graphene can reinforce the electrocatalytic activity though reducing the reaction energy barrier during the conversion of*O to*OOH *** outstanding performance and structural benefits of NiFe@NVG/CC offer valuable insights for the development of innovative and efficient electrocatalysts for water oxidation.

Lightweight metamaterials for broadband electromagnetic wave absorption have become a significant requirement for electromagnetic interference and stealth *** this study,a novel lightweight metamaterial absorber with three-dimensional(3D)carbon nanotubes(CNTs)conductive-coated arrays is designed and fabricated through 3D printing and dipping process,which realized less than-10 dB reflection loss in the frequency range of 7.0–40 *** effect of the sheet resistance of CNTs conductive coatings and geometric parameters of meta-structure on the frequency-dependent absorption properties is investigated,and the improved absorbing efficiency is discussed based on the synergy effect of multiscale structures of 3D conductive-coated ***,the volume of the proposed ultra broadband absorber is reduced by approximately 60.5%compared with that of the dense plate structure,indicating a significant lightening with efficient absorbing ***,the absorption bandwidth and intensity of the proposed absorber have insensitive changes with the variation of incident ***,an ultra broadband electromagnetic absorption is designed and realized,indicating a promising lightweight ultra broadband electromagnetic absorbing candidate for lightweight metamaterial absorbers.

The failure of bone injury repair surgery is mostly due to the stress shielding effect caused by the difference of elastic modulus between the implant prosthesis and human bone,result-ing in a great damage to *** solve this problem,in this study,the influencing factors of the elastic modulus of implant prosthesis were investigated,the relationship between the elastic modulus of the implanted prosthesis and the influencing factors was analyzed,and then a design method of the implant prosthesis to reduce the stress shielding effect by adjusting the unit module to control the elastic modulus was *** method was used for the biomechanical simula-tion to simulate the displacement and stress distribution between the implant prosthesis and the surrounding bone tissue,and then the reliability of the method was *** implant prosthe-sis with an elastic modulus consistent with that of the experimental dog bone was made by this method,and used for the animal *** effects of implant prosthesis with different mod-ulus on the growth of surrounding bone tissue were observed,and at the same time,the reliability of the implant design method and the results of biomechanical simulation were *** is con-firmed that this method can effectively reduce the stress concentration of implant prosthesis by more than 15.4%and increase the growth of bone tissue by more than 21%.
