As a typical energetic composite,polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)/aluminum(Al)has been widely applied in explosives,pyrotechnics,and propellants due to its ultra-high energy density and intense exothermic *** this work,the radial gradient(RG)structure of PTFE/Al cylinders with three different PTFE morphologies(200 nm and 5μm particles and 5μm fiber)and content changes are prepared by 3D printing *** effect of radial gradient structure on the pressure output of PTFE/Al has been *** with the morphology change of PTFE,the change of component content in the gradient structure has an obvious effect on the pressure output of the PTFE/Al ***,the relationships of the morphology,content of PTFE and the combustion reaction of the PTFE/Al cylinder reveal that the cylinder shows a more complex flame propagation process than *** results could provide a strategy to improve the combustion and pressure output of PTFE/Al.

Objective： The aims of this study were to estimate the prevalence of radiographic osteoarthritis （OA） and to assess the association between smoking patterns and OA prevalence in adults aged 50 years or older belonging to the Shanxi province of ***： A cross-sectional study in the rural regions of the Shanxi province was conducted among 2638 Chinese adults （aged ≥50 years）. Demographic characteristics and behavioral information were collected through epidemiological surveys. All participants with joint pain underwent plain radiographic examination and were diagnosed by a professional orthopedist. Associations between smoking patterns and the prevalence of OA were assessed using binary logistic regression ***： Among 2638 individuals （men, 50.3% and women, 49.7%; mean age, 61.5 years） included in the analysis, 49.8% had radiographic OA and 27.5% had knee OA. The prevalence of radiographic OA was higher in women than in men （P〈0.001）. After adjusting for potential confounding factors, there was a nonsignificant correlation between smoking and OA prevalence in the muttivariate model. Odds ratios （ORs） for all types of OA and knee OA were higher in active and passive smokers than in nonsmoking individuals after adjustments （OR 1.374; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.049-1.802; OR 1.440; 95% CI 1.059-1.958, respectively）.Conclusions： This study showed th at smoking may not be an independent risk factor for OA; however, there was a positive correlation between active and passive smoking and OA.

Sea level variability in the East China Sea （ECS） was examined based primarily on the analysis of TOPEX/Poseidon altimetry data and tide gauge data as well as numerical simulation with the Princeton ocean model （POM）. It is concluded that the inter-annual sea level variation in the ECS is negatively correlated with the ENSO index, and that the impact is more apparent in the southern area than in the northern area. Both data analysis and numerical model results also show that the sea level was lower during the typical E1 Niflo period of 1997 to 1998. E1 Nifio also causes the decrease of the annual sea level variation range in the ECS. This phenomenon is especially evident in the southern ECS. The impacts of wind stress and ocean circulation on the sea level variation in the ECS are also discussed in this paper. It is found that the wind stress most strongly affecting the sea level was in the directions of 70° and 20° south of east,, respectively, over the northern and southern areas of the ECS. The northwest wind is particularly strong when E1 Nifio occurs, and sea water is transported southeastward, which lowers the sea level in the southern ECS. The sea level variation in the southern ECS is also significantly affected by the strengthening of the Kuroshio. During the strengthening period of the Kuroshio, the sea level in the ECS usually drops, while the sea level rises when the Kuroshio weakens.

We have demonstrated a laser-diode pumped Nd:GdVO4 extra-cavity frequency tripling ultraviolet laser with a LBO crystal in this *** the acousto-optic （A-O） Q-switched operation,we have obtained 355 nm ultraviolet laser,with pulse width of 25 ns and pulse repetition rate of 20 *** using a type Ⅰ non-critical phase-matched LBO crystal,the SHG output power of 822 mW is achieved at the incident pump power of 16 W. The output power of 355nm UV laser is 260mW with a type Ⅱ phase-matched LBO crystal,and the conversion efficiency （1 064 nm-355 nm ） is 5.9 %.The power stability of 355 nm laser is 1.7% in 1 h.

Interannual variability of boreal summer intraseasonal oscillation over the northwestern Pacific influenced by the Pacific Meridional Mode

During the boreal summer,intraseasonal oscillations exhibit significant interannual variations in intensity over two key regions:the central-western equatorial Pacific(5°S-5°N,150°E-150°W)and the subtropical Northwestern Pacific(10°-20°N,130°E-175°W).The former is well-documented and considered to be influenced by the ENSO,while the latter has received comparatively less attention and is likely influenced by the Pacific Meridional Mode(PMM),as suggested by partial correlation analysis *** elucidate the physical processes responsible for the enhanced(weakened)intraseasonal convection over the subtropical northwestern Pacific during warm(cold)PMM years,the authors employed a moisture budget *** findings reveal that during warm PMM years,there is an increase in summer-mean moisture over the subtropical northwestern *** increase interacts with intensified vertical motion perturbations in the region,leading to greater vertical moisture advection in the lower troposphere and consequently resulting in convective *** a process is pivotal in amplifying intraseasonal convection *** observational findings were further verified by model experiments forced by PMM-like sea surface temperature patterns.

Stroke is classified as ischemic or hemorrhagic,and there are few effective treatments for either *** mechanisms play a critical role in secondary brain injury following a stroke,which manifests as cytokine release,blood–brain barrier disruption,neuronal cell death,and ultimately behavioral *** the inflammatory response has been shown to mitigate this cascade of events in experimental stroke ***,in clinical trials of anti-inflammatory agents,longterm immunosuppression has not demonstrated significant clinical benefits for *** may be attributable to the dichotomous roles of inflammation in both tissue injury and repair,as well as the complex pathophysiologic inflammatory processes in *** acute harmful inflammatory responses or inducing a phenotypic shift from a pro-inflammatory to an anti-inflammatory state at specific time points after a stroke are alternative and promising therapeutic *** agents that can modulate inflammation requires a detailed understanding of the inflammatory processes of ***,epigenetic reprogramming plays a crucial role in modulating post-stroke inflammation and can potentially be exploited for stroke *** this review,we summarize current findings on the epigenetic regulation of the inflammatory response in stroke,focusing on key signaling pathways including nuclear factor-kappa B,Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription,and mitogen-activated protein kinase as well as inflammasome *** also discuss promising molecular targets for stroke *** evidence to date indicates that therapeutic targeting of the epigenetic regulation of inflammation can shift the balance from inflammation-induced tissue injury to repair following stroke,leading to improved post-stroke outcomes.
