Plants are constantly exposed to microbial pathogens in the *** branch of innate plant immunity is mediated by cell-membrane-localized receptors,but less is known about associations between DNA damage and plant immune ***,we show that rice(Oryza sativa)mesophyll cells are prone to DNA double-stranded breaks(DSBs)in response to ZJ173,a strain of Xanthomonas oryzae ***(Xoo).The DSB signal transducer ataxia telangiectasia mutated(ATM),but not the ATM and Rad3-related branch,confers resistance against ***,the MRE11–ATM module phosphorylates suppressor of gamma response 1(SOG1),which activates several phenylpropanoid pathway genes and prompts downstream phytoalexin biosynthesis during Xoo ***,overexpression of the topoisomerase gene TOP6A3 causes a switch from the classic non-homologous end joining(NHEJ)pathway to the alternative NHEJ and homologous recombination pathways atXoo-induced *** enhanced ATM signaling of the alternative NHEJ pathway strengthens the SOG1-regulated phenylpropanoid pathway and thereby boosts Xoo-induced phytoalexin biosynthesis in TOP6A3-OE1 overexpression ***,the MRE11–ATM–SOG1 pathway serves as a prime example of plant–pathogen interactions that occur via host non-specific recogni*** function of TOP6-facilitated ATM signaling in the defense response makes it a promising target for breeding of rice germplasm that exhibits resistance to bacterial blight disease without a growth penalty.

Efficient Computational Approach for Predicting the 3D Acoustic Radiation of the Elastic Structure in Pekeris Waveguides

Ocean boundaries present a significant effect on the vibroacoustic characteristics and sound propagation of an elastic structure in *** this study,an efficient finite element/wave superposition method(FE/WSM)for predicting the three-dimen-sional acoustic radiation from an arbitrary-shaped radiator in Pekeris waveguides with a lossy seabed is *** method is based on the FE method(FEM),WSM,and sound propagation ***,a near-field vibroacoustic model is established by the FEM to obtain vibration information on a radiator ***,the WSM based on the Helmholtz boundary integral is used to pre-dict the far-field acoustic radiation and ***,the rigorous image source method and complex normal mode are employed to obtain the near-and far-field Green’s function(GF),*** former,which is based on the spherical wave decomposition,is adopted to accurately solve the near-field source strength,and the far-field acoustic radiation is calculated by the latter and perturbation *** simulations of both models are compared to theoretical wavenumber integration ***,numerical experiments on elastic spherical and cylindrical shells in Pekeris waveguides are presented to validate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed *** results show that the FE/WSM is adaptable to complex radiators and ocean-acoustic envi-ronments,and are easy to implement and computationally efficient in calculating the structural vibration,acoustic radiation,and sound propagation of arbitrarily shaped radiators in practical ocean environments.

Active surface technique is one of the key technologies to ensure the reflector accuracy of the millimeter/submillimeter wave large reflector *** antenna is complex,large-scale,and high-precision equipment,and its active surfaces are affected by various factors that are difficult to comprehensively deal *** this paper,based on the advantage of the deep learning method that can be improved through data learning,we propose the active adjustment value analysis method of large reflector antenna based on deep *** method constructs a neural network model for antenna active adjustment analysis in view of the fact that a large reflector antenna consists of multiple panels spliced *** on the constraint that a single actuator has to support multiple panels(usually 4),an autonomously learned neural network emphasis layer module is designed to enhance the adaptability of the active adjustment neural network *** classical 8-meter antenna is used as a case study,the actuators have a mean adjustment error of 0.00252 mm,and the corresponding antenna surface error is0.00523 *** active adjustment result shows the effectiveness of the method in this paper.

Effects of taping on grinding quality of silicon wafers in backgrinding

Taping is often used to protect patterned wafers and reduce fragmentation during backgrinding of silicon *** experiments using coarse and fine resinbond diamond grinding wheels were performed on silicon wafers with tapes of different thicknesses to investigate the effects of taping on peak-to-valley(PV),surface roughness,and subsurface damage of silicon wafers after *** showed that taping in backgrinding could provide effective protection for ground wafers from ***,the PV value,surface roughness,and subsurface damage of silicon wafers with taping deteriorated compared with those without taping although the deterioration extents were very *** PV value of silicon wafers with taping decreased with increasing mesh size of the grinding wheel and the final *** surface roughness and subsurface damage of silicon wafers with taping decreased with increasing mesh size of grinding wheel but was not affected by removal *** hope the experimental finding could help fully understand the role of taping in backgrinding.

Design and Mechanics of a Composite Wave-driven Soft Robotic Fin for Biomimetic Amphibious Robot

Bionic amphibious robots have important prospects in scientific, commercial, and military fields. Compared with traditional amphibious robots which use propellers/jets for aquatic medium and wheels/tracks for terrestrial medium, bionic propulsion method has great advantages in terms of manoeuvrability, efficiency, and reliability, because there is no need to switch between different propulsion systems. To explore the integrated driving technology of amphibious robot, a novel bio-inspired soft robotic fin for amphibious use is proposed in this paper. The bionic fin can swim underwater and walk on land by the same undulating motion. To balance the conflicting demands of flexibility underwater and rigidity on land, the undulating fin adopts a special combination of a membrane fin and a bending spring. A periodic longitudinal wave in horizontal direction has been found generating passively in dynamic analysis. To find the composite wave-driven mechanics, theoretical analysis is conducted based on the walking model and swimming model. A virtual prototype is built in ADAMS software to verify the walking mechanics. The simulation result reveals that the passive longitudinal wave is also periodical and the composite wave contributes to land walking. Finally, an amphibious robot prototype actuated by a pair of undulating fins has been developed. The experiments show that the robot can achieve multiple locomotion, including walking forward/backward, turning in place, swimming underwater, and crossing medium, thus giving evidence to the feasibility of the newly designed undulating fin for amphibious robot.

Boosting low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NO_(x)with NH_(3)of V_(2)O_(5)/TiO_(2)catalyst via B-doping

A series of B-doped V_(2)O_(5)/TiO_(2) catalysts has been prepared the by sol-gel and impregnation methods to investigate the influence of B-doping on the selective catalytic reduction(SCR)of NOxwith NH_(3).X-ray diffraction,Brunauer-Emmett-Teller specific surface area,scanning electron microscope,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,temperature-programmed reduction of H_(2) and temperature-programmed desorption of NH_(3)technology were used to study the effect of the B-doping on the structure and NH_(3)-SCR activity of V_(2)O_(5)/TiO_(2) *** experimental results demonstrated that the introduction of B not only improved the low-temperature SCR activity of the catalysts,but also broadened the activity temperature *** best SCR activity in the entire test temperature range is obtained for VTiB_(2.0) with 2.0%doping amount of B and the NO_(x) conversion rate is up to 94.3%at 210℃.The crystal phase,specific surface area,valence state reducibility and surface acidity of the active components for the as-prepared catalysts are significantly affected by the B-doping,resulting in an improved NH_(3)-SCR *** results suggest that the V_(2)O_(5)/TiO_(2) catalysts with an appropriate B content afford good candidates for SCR in the low temperature window.

Metric of Rotating Charged Spherical Mass in Vacuum for Vector Graviton Metric Theory of Gravitation

Based on the vector graviton metric theory of gravitation (VGM) suggested by one of the authors of this article, using the method of null tetrad and analytic continuation, this paper gives the metric of the rotating charged spherical mass in VGM. The result shows once again that a replacement of G by G* = G(1 - G M /2r) in general relativity will yield the corresponding result in VGM for the metric in vacuum.
