Decoding the fish genome opens a new era in important trait research and molecular breeding in China

Aquaculture represents the fastest-growing global food production sector, as it has become an essential component of the global food *** has the world's largest aquaculture industry in terms of production volume. However, the sustainable development of fish culture is hindered by several concerns, including germplasm degradation and disease outbreaks. The practice of genomic breeding, which relies heavily on genome information and genotypephenotype relationships, has significant potential for increasing the efficiency of aquaculture production. In 2014, the completion of the genome sequencing and annotation of the Chinese tongue sole signified the beginning of the fish genomics era in China. Since then, domestic researchers have made dramatic progress in functional genomic studies. To date, the genomes of more than 60 species of fish in China have been assembled and annotated. Based on these reference genomes, evolutionary, comparative,and functional genomic studies have revolutionized our understanding of a wide range of biologically and economically important traits of fishes, including growth and development, sex determination, disease resistance, metamorphosis, and pigmentation. Furthermore, genomic tools and breeding techniques such as SNP arrays, genomic selection, and genome editing have greatly accelerated genetic improvement through the incorporation of functional genomic information into breeding activities. This review aims to summarize the current status,advances, and perspectives of the genome resources, genomic study of important traits, and genomic breeding techniques of fish in *** review will provide aquaculture researchers, fish breeders, and farmers with updated information concerning fish genomic research and breeding technology. The summary will help to promote the genetic improvement of production traits and thus will support the sustainable development of fish aquaculture.

Mechanistic insights into stepwise activation of malachite for enhancing surface reactivity and flotation performance

Malachite is a common copper oxide mineral that is often enriched using the sulfidization-xanthate flotation ***,the direct sulfidization method cannot yield copper concentrate ***,a new sulfidization flotation process was developed to promote the efficient recovery of *** this study,Cu^(2+) was used as an activator to interact with the sample surface and increase its reaction sites,thereby strengthening the mineral sulfidization process and *** to single copper ion activation,the flota-tion effect of malachite significantly increased after stepwise Cu^(2+) *** potential,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectroscopy(ToF-SIMS),scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrometry(SEM-EDS),and atomic force microscopy(AFM)analysis results indicated that the adsorption of S species was significantly enhanced on the mineral surface due to the increase in active Cu sites after Cu^(2+) stepwise ***,the proportion of active Cu-S spe-cies also increased,further improving the reaction between the sample surface and subsequent ***-transform infrared spec-troscopy(FT-IR)and contact angle tests implied that the xanthate species were easily and stably adsorbed onto the mineral surface after Cu^(2+) stepwise activation,thereby improving the hydrophobicity of the mineral ***,the copper sites on the malachite sur-face after Cu^(2+) stepwise activation promote the reactivity of the mineral surface and enhance sulfidization flotation of malachite.

Comparative analysis between single-train passing and double-train intersection in a tunnel

Aerodynamic pressure significantly impacts the scientific evaluation of tunnel service *** aerodynamic pressure of two trains running in a double-track tunnel is considerably more complicated than that of a single *** used the numerical method to investigate the difference in aerodynamic pressure between a single train and two trains running in a double-track ***,the numerical method was verified by comparing the results of numerical simulation and on-site ***,the characteristics of aerodynamic pressure were ***,the influence of various train-tunnel factors on the characteristics of aerodynamic pressure was *** results show that the aerodynamic pressure variation can be divided into stage I:irregular pressure fluctuations before the train tail leaves the tunnel exit,and stage II:periodic pressure declines after the train tail leaves the tunnel *** addition,the aerodynamic pressure simultaneously jumps positively or drops negatively for a single train or two trains running in double-track tunnel *** pressure amplitude in the two-train case is higher than that for a single *** maximum positive peak pressure difference(P_(STP))and maximum negative peak pressure difference(P_(STN))increase as train speed rises to the power from 2.256 to 2.930 in stage *** P_(STP) and P_(STN) first increase and then decrease with the increase of tunnel length in stage *** P_(STP) and P_(STN) increase as the blockage ratio rises to the power from 2.032 to 2.798 in stages I and II.

Leader-follower Optimal Selection Method for Distributed Control System in Active Distribution Networks

Aiming at the shortcomings of a traditional centralized control in an active distribution network(AND),this paper proposes a leader-follower distributed group cooperative control strategy to realize multiple operation and control tasks for an *** distributed information exchange protocols of the distributed generation(DG)group devoted to node voltage regulation or exchange power control are developed using a DG power utilization ratio as the consensus *** these bases,this study further investigates the leader optimal selection method for a DG group to improve the response speed of the distributed control ***,a single or multiple leader selection model is established to minimize the constraints of the one-step convergence factor and the number of leaders to improve the response speed of the distributed control *** simulation results of the IEEE 33 bus standard test system show the effectiveness of the proposed distributed control *** addition,the response speed of a DG control group can be improved effectively when the single or multiple leaders are selected optimally.

Carbon nitride has been extensively used as a visible-light photocatalyst,but it has the disadvantages of a low specific surface area,rapid electron-hole recombination,and relatively low light *** this study,single-atom Ag was successfully anchored on ultrathin carbon nitride(UTCN)via thermal polymerization,the catalyst obtained is called *** Ag hardly changed the carbon nitride's layered and porous physical *** exhibited efficient visible-light photocatalytic performances in the degradation of various recalcitrant pollutants,eliminations of 85% were achieved by visible-light irradiation for *** with Ag improved the photocatalytic performance of UTCN by narrowing the forbidden band gap from 2.49 to 2.36 e V and suppressing electron-hole pair *** addition,Ag doping facilitated O_(2) adsorption on UTCN by decreasing the adsorption energy from -0.2 to -2.22 e V and favored the formation of O_(2)^(·-).Electron spin resonance and radical-quenching experiments showed that O_(2)^(·-)was the major reactive species in the degradation of Acetaminophen(paracetamol,APAP).

Insects are the host or vector of diverse viruses including those that infect vertebrates,plants,and *** viruses reside inside their insect hosts and are vertically transmitted from parent to *** insect virus-host relationship is intricate,as these viruses can impact various aspects of insect biology,such as development,reproduction,sex ratios,and ***-borne viruses(arboviruses)that cause substantial global health or agricultural problems can also be vertically transmitted to insect vector *** infections with insect viruses and arboviruses are common in *** coinfections involve complex interactions,including synergism,dependence,and *** studies have shed light on the influence of insect viruses on the competence of insect vectors for *** this review,we focus on the biological effects of insect viruses on the transmission of arboviruses by *** also discuss the potential mechanisms by which insect viruses affect the ability of hosts to transmit arboviruses,as well as potential strategies for disease control through manipulation of insect *** of the interactions among insect vectors,insect viruses and arboviruses will provide new opportunities for development of innovative strategies to control arbovirus transmission.

Quantum support vector machine for multi classification

Classical machine learning algorithms seem to be totally incapable of processing tremendous data,while quantum machine learning algorithms could deal with big data unhurriedly and provide exponential acceleration over classical *** this paper,we propose two quantum support vector machine algorithms for multi *** is the quantum version of the directed acyclic graph support vector *** other one is to use the Grover search algorithm before measurement,which amplifies the amplitude of the phase storing of the classification *** k classification,the former provides quadratic reduction in computational complexity when *** latter accelerates the training speed significantly and more importantly,the classification result can be read out with a probability of at least 50%using only one *** conduct numerical simulations on two algorithms,and their classification success rates are 96%and 88.7%,respectively.

Strong evidence for latitudinal diversity gradient in mosses across the world

Species richness generally decreases with increasing latitude,a biodiversity gradient that has long been considered as one of the few laws in *** latitudinal diversity gradient has been observed in many major groups of *** plants,the latitudinal diversity gradient has been observed in vascular plants,angiosperms,ferns,and ***,a conspicuous latitudinal diversity gradient in mosses at a global or continental scale has not been observed until ***,we analyze a comprehensive data set including moss species in each band of 20° in latitude *** results show that moss species richness decreases strongly with increasing latitude,regardless of whether the globe is considered as a whole or different longitudinal segments(e.g.,Old World versus New World) are considered *** result holds when variation in area size among latitudinal bands is taken into ***'s correlation coefficient between latitude and species richness is-0.99 for both the Northern and Southern *** bryophytes are an extant lineage of early land plants and because mosses not only include most of extant species of bryophytes but also are important constituents of most terrestrial ecosystems,understanding geographic patterns of mosses is particularly important The finding of our study fills a critical knowledge gap.
