High-Temperature Stability of Mg-1Al-12Y Alloy Containing LPSO Phase and Mechanism of Its Portevin-Le Chatelier(PLC)Effect

In this study,the high-temperature stability and the generation mechanism of the Portevin-Le Chatelier(PLC)effect in solid-solution Mg-1Al-12Y alloy with different heat treatment processes were investigated by adjusting the content of long-period stacking ordered(LPSO)*** was found that the content of LPSO phases in the alloys differed the most after heat treatment at 530℃for 16 h and 24 h,with values of 13.56%and 3.93%***,high-temperature tensile experiments were conducted on these two alloys at temperatures of 150℃,200℃,250℃,and 300℃.The results showed that both alloys exhibited the PLC effect at temperatures ranging from 150 to 250℃.However,at a temperature 300℃,only the alloy with a greater concentration of LPSO phases exhibited the PLC effect,whereas the alloy with a lower proportion of LPSO phases did not exhibit this ***,both alloys exhibited remarkable high-temperature stability,with the alloy containing a greater percentage of LPSO phases also demonstrating superior *** underlying mechanism for this phenomenon lies in the exceptional high-temperature stability exhibited by the second phase within the ***,the LPSO phase effectively obstructs the movement of dislocations,and it also undergoing kinking to facilitate plastic deformation of the *** results indicate that the PLC effect can be suppressed by reducing dislocation pile-up at grain boundaries,which leads to a decrease in alloy plasticity but an increase in *** presence of the PLC effect in the WA121 alloy is attributed to the abundant dispersed second phase within the alloy,which initially hinders the movement of dislocations,leading to an increase in stress,and subsequently releases the dislocations,allowing them to continue their movement and thereby reducing in stress.

In this study,a comprehensive analysis of microstructural features,morphology,crystal structures,and interface structures of long-period stacking ordered(LPSO)structures in a non-equilibrium Mg_(97)Zn_(1)Y_(16)Ca_(0.4)alloy cast in a steel mold was carried *** addition of Ca element plays an important role in the refinement of LPSO *** result reveals new poly-types including 20H F2F2F4,60R(F2F3F3)_(3),and 66H F2F3F3F2(F6)_(4)featuring a 6-Mg structure,alongside the prevalent 18R and 14H LPSO *** incoherent interface between 20H and the Mg matrix is split into two dislocation arrays,leading to the formation of a segment of 60R_(1).Moreover,the superstructure 116L,designated as(F2)_(18)F4,is formed through the ordered distribution of F4 stacking faults in 18R.

Zincophilic and hydrophobic bifunctional PFA-COOH-CNT artificial SEI film for highly stable Zn anode

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs)are regarded as one of the most promising rivals in the upcoming high-energy secondary battery market because of their safety and ***,the zinc dendrites growth and hydrogen evolution corrosion of the Zn anode have seriously restricted the application of ***,to overcome these constraints,a three-dimensional(3D)porous PFA-COOH-CNT artificial solid electrolyte interface(SEl)film with high hydrophobic and zincophilic properties was constructed on Zn anode surface by in-situ polymerization of furfuryl alcohol(FA)and carboxyl carbon nanotubes(COOH-CNT).A series of in-situ,ex-situ characterizations as well as the density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the formed PFA-COOH-CNT SEI film with an abundant oxygen-containing group can provide abundant zincophilic sites and induce homogeneous deposition of Zn^(2+),as well as the hydrophobic alkyl and carbon skeleton in PFA-COOH-CNT SEI film can isolate the direct contact of H_(2)O with Zn anode,and inhibit the occurrence of hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Accordingly,the Zn anode with PFA-COOH-CNT layer can attain an ultra-long cycle life of 2200 h at 1 mA·cm^(-2),1 mAh·cm^(-2).Simultaneously,the assembled PFA-COOH-CNT@ZnllV2Os full cell can also achieve a high reversible capacity of up to 150.2 mAh•g^(-1) at 1 A·g^(-1) after 400 cycles,with a high average coulombic efficiency(CE)of 98.8%.The designed PFA-COOH-CNT artificial SEI film provides a broad prospect for highly stable zinc anode,and can also be extended to other energy storage systems based on metal anodes.

Herein,we disclose a highly regio-/chemoselective tandem asymmetric dearomatized halofunctionalization reaction of phenoltethered ynamides with diverse electrophilic halogenation sources in a catalyst-free manner for the practical and rapid assembly of a series of halogenated spirocyclic ***,the related dearomatized selenation and protonation are also achieved,affording the corresponding selenated and protonated spirocycles in high ***,the enantioselectivities of these products can be perfectly induced by Evans auxiliaries(99%ees).Significantly,this protocol not only represents the first tandem asymmetric halofunctionalization reaction of phenol derivatives,but also constitutes the first asymmetric halogenation/selenation of *** calculations indicate a remote induction model of Evans chiral auxiliary-attached keteniminium.

Small extracellular vesicles derived from human induced pluripotent stem cell-differentiated neural progenitor cells mitigate retinal ganglion cell degeneration in a mouse model of optic nerve injury

Several studies have found that transplantation of neural progenitor cells(NPCs)promotes the survival of injured ***,a poor integration rate and high risk of tumorigenicity after cell transplantation limits their clinical *** extracellular vesicles(sEVs)contain bioactive molecules for neuronal protection and *** studies have shown that stem/progenitor cell-derived sEVs can promote neuronal survival and recovery of neurological function in neurodegenerative eye diseases and other eye *** this study,we intravitreally transplanted sEVs derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells(hiPSCs)and hiPSCs-differentiated NPCs(hiPSC-NPC)in a mouse model of optic nerve *** results show that these intravitreally injected sEVs were ingested by retinal cells,especially those localized in the ganglion cell *** with hiPSC-NPC-derived sEVs mitigated optic nerve crush-induced retinal ganglion cell degeneration,and regulated the retinal microenvironment by inhibiting excessive activation of *** analysis further revealed that hiPSC-NPC derived sEVs transported neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory miRNA cargos to target cells,which had protective effects on RGCs after optic nerve *** findings suggest that sEVs derived from hiPSC-NPC are a promising cell-free therapeutic strategy for optic neuropathy.

Phenanthrene perturbs hematopoietic development and causes hematopoietic defects in zebrafish

Phenanthrene(Phe)is one of the common polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the environment,and recent studies show that it can cause cardiac developmental toxicity and ***,it is still unknown whether it can affect the hematopoietic development in aquatic *** address this question,zebrafish(Danio rerio)were chronically exposed to Phe at different *** found that Phe caused structural damage to the renal tubules in the kidney,induced malformed erythrocytes in peripheral blood,and decreased the proportion of myeloid cells in adult zebrafish,suggesting possible negative impacts that Phe posed to hematopoietic ***,using in situ hybridization technology,we found that Phe decreased the expression of primitive hematopoietic marker genes,specifically gata1 and pu.1,accompanied by an obstruction of primitive erythrocyte ***,Phe impaired definitive hematopoiesis,increased aberrations of the transient hematopoietic site(PBI),and reduced the generation of hematopoietic stem cells,ultimately influencing the number of erythrocytes and myeloid *** findings suggested that Phe could induce hematopoietic toxicity in zebrafish embryos and pose unknown ecological risks.

Exploring the worldwide patterns of endemism and the processes that lead to the formation of highendemism centers is crucial in *** study examines the geographic distribution and ecological influences on the endemism of liverworts across 390 regions *** assess phylogenetic endemism and relative phylogenetic endemism in relation to eleven environmental factors,which represent current and Quaternary climate variations,as well as topographic and environmental *** with higher endemism in liverworts tend to have higher temperatures,precipitation,and environmental heterogeneity,but lower temperature seasonality and lesser impacts from Quaternary climate *** exhibiting notably high endemism are predominantly found in tropical Asia,Madagascar,eastern Australia,and the Andes,while those with notably low endemism are generally in temperate Eurasia and North America,parts of Africa,and eastern South *** of neo-endemism are mainly in southern Africa,whereas centers of paleo-endemism are in southern South America,tropical Asia,and New *** variability is a more significant predictor of phylogenetic endemism than current climate conditions,which are themselves more predictive than variables related to Quaternary climate ***,these three types of explanatory variables combined explain only about one-third of the variance in phylogenetic endemism.

Sini decoction alleviates inflammation injury after myocardial infarction through regulating arachidonic acid metabolism

Objective:Myocardial inflammation during myocardial infarction(MI) could be inhibited by regulating arachidonic acid(AA) *** studies demonstrated that Sini Decoction(SND) was identified to be an effective prescription for treating heart failure(HF) caused by *** the anti-inflammatory mechanism of SND remained *** work was designed to investigate the anti-inflammato ry mechanism of SND through the AA metabolism pathway in vitro and in vivo ***:An inflammatory injury model of H9c2 cells was established by lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-stimulated macrophage-conditioned medium(CM).The MI model was built by the ligation of left anterior descending(LAD) branch of coronary artery in ***,the rats were divided into five groups:sham group,MI group,MI+Celecoxib group,MI+low-dose SND group(SND-L) and MI+high-dose SND group(SND-H).Cardiac function,histopathological changes and serum cytokines were examined four weeks *** blot analysis was conducted to verify the key enzymes levels in the AA metabolic pathway,including phospholipase A2(PLA2),cyclooxygenases(COXs) and lipoxygenases(LOXs).Results:These in vivo results demonstrated that SND could improve the cardiac function and pathological changes of rats with MI,and regulate the key inflammatory molecules in the AA metabolism pathway,including sPLA2,COX-1,COX-2,5-LOX and *** vitro,SND could decrease the release of proinflammatory cytokines including TNF-α and IL-6 and inhibit cell apoptosis in CM-induced H9c2 ***,SND could protect H9c2 cells from the damage of CM by regulating nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB) signal pathway and the expression of ***: SND may be a drug candidate for anti-inflammatory treatment during MI by regulating the multiple targets in the AA metabolism pathway.
