Hierarchical vectorization for facial images

The explosive growth of social media means portrait editing and retouching are in high *** portraits are commonly captured and stored as raster images,editing raster images is non-trivial and requires the user to be highly *** at developing intuitive and easy-to-use portrait editing tools,we propose a novel vectorization method that can automatically convert raster images into a 3-tier hierarchical *** base layer consists of a set of sparse diffusion curves(DCs)which characterize salient geometric features and low-frequency colors,providing a means for semantic color transfer and facial expression *** middle level encodes specular highlights and shadows as large,editable Poisson regions(PRs)and allows the user to directly adjust illumination by tuning the strength and changing the shapes of *** top level contains two types of pixel-sized PRs for high-frequency residuals and fine details such as pimples and *** train a deep generative model that can produce high-frequency residuals *** to the inherent meaning in vector primitives,editing portraits becomes easy and *** particular,our method supports color transfer,facial expression editing,highlight and shadow editing,and automatic *** quantitatively evaluate the results,we extend the commonly used FLIP metric(which measures color and feature differences between two images)to consider *** new metric,illumination-sensitive FLIP,can effectively capture salient changes in color transfer results,and is more consistent with human perception than FLIP and other quality measures for portrait *** evaluate our method on the FFHQR dataset and show it to be effective for common portrait editing tasks,such as retouching,light editing,color transfer,and expression editing.

Single SH guided wave mode generation method for PPM EMATs

Using periodic permanent magnet(PPM)electromagnetic acoustic transducers(EMATs),different shear horizontal(SH)guided wave modes can form simultaneously in some situations,which can interfere with the *** main cause of this phenomenon(typically named multiple modes)is related to the frequency bandwidth of excitation signals and the transducer spatial *** narrowing the frequency bandwidth cannot effectively limit the number of different SH *** researches showed that unnecessary SH wave modes can be eliminated by using dual ***,in practical applications,it is more convenient to change the excitation frequency than to use dual *** this paper,the stress boundary conditions of the PPM-EMAT are analyzed,the analytical expression of SH guided wave is established,and the magnitude of SH guided wave mode under continuous tone and tone-burst input is obtained.A method to generate a single SH mode by re-selecting an operating point is ***,the influence of the frequency bandwidth of the tone-burst signal is ***,a single SH mode excitation is achieved with tone-burst input.

Food allergy is one of the most important food safety problems that has attracted increasing *** food allergy experimental models provide not only the accurate allergen detection and evaluation methods but also the powerful approaches for mechanism *** this paper,we reviewed the common food allergy cell models including mast cell,basophil granulocyte and basophil,as well as the animal models of BALB/c mouse,C3H/HeJ mouse,and BN *** also introduced zebrafish,a promising model organism for investigating immunity though lacking direct applications in food allergy to date,and focused on traumatic inflammation,bacterial infection and viral infection *** addition,we also summarized the clinical diagnostic research methods for food *** elucidation of these topics will help researchers to understand the characteristics and mechanisms of various models and thus select the proper models for particular study,so as to support further investigations of food allergy.

Novel concept of recycling sludge and dust to BOF converter through dispersed in-situ phase induced by composite ball explosive reaction

Recycling of iron and steelmaking dusts is a key issue in environmental protection efforts and to ensure efficient utilization. In this investigation, we developed a novel recovery process that uses a dispersed in-situ phase induced by an explosive reaction of composite balls of iron and steelmaking dusts. We designed and prepared composite balls for this function using a laboratory model batch-type balling disc(at 12 r/min) and optimized the feeding modes in 180-t and 260-t basic oxygen furnace(BOF) converters. The results indicate that feeding composite balls into BOF converters is an effective novel technology for recovering iron and steelmaking dusts. The period after hot metal charging and prior to the oxygen-blowing process is the most reasonable time to feed composite balls. Composite ball treatment is not appropriate for steel production with sulfur requirements lower than 80 ppm. The maximum composite ball feeding amount is 40 kg/t and the iron yield rate is better than 95%. Compared with the conventional recycling process of sludge and dust, this novel technology is more convenient and efficient, saving up to 309 RMB per ton of steel. further investigation of this novel recycling technology is merited.

Separation of chalcopyrite and pyrite from a copper tailing by ammonium humate

Copper tailings constitute a large proportion of mine wastes. Some of the copper tailings can be recycled to recover valuable minerals. In this paper, a copper tailing was studied through the chemical analysis method, Xray diffraction and scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectrum. It turned out that chalcopyrite(Cu) and pyrite(S) were the main recoverable minerals in the tailing. In order to separate chalcopyrite from pyrite in low pulp pH, ammonium humate(AH) was singled out as the effective regulator. The depression mechanism of AH on the flotation of pyrite was proved by FTIR spectrum and XPS spectrum, demonstrating that there was a chemical adsorption between AH and pyrite. By Response Surface Methodology(RSM), the interaction between AH, pulp pH and iso-butyl ethionine(Z200) was discussed. It was illustrated that the optimal dosage of AH was 1678 g·t^(-1) involving both the recovery of Cu and S. The point prediction by RSM and the closed-circuit flotation displayed that the qualified Cu concentrate and S concentrate could be obtained from the copper *** study indicated that AH was a promising pyrite depressor in the low pulp pH from copper tailings.

Polymer/Metal Segmental Janus Nanoparticles

Polymer/metal composite segmental Janus nanoparticles （NPs） are synthesized by sequential growth against poly（4-vinylpyridine）（P4VP） crosslinked cP4VP-PS Janus NPs. A Janus cluster of poly（4-vinylpyridine）-block-polystyrene （P4VP-b-PS） diblock copolymer is self-organized after absorption onto a silica patchy sphere via hydrogen bonding. Selective crosslinking of P4VP leads to the formation of robust cP4VP-PS Janus NPs. Within the cP4VP domain, functional species such as metals are preferentially grown by in situ reduction. Other thiol-capped polymers, for example, thiol-capped poly（N-isopropylacrylamide）（PNIPAM-SH）, can be conjugated onto the opposite side to form polymer/metal triple segmental Janus NPs. The hyperthermia effect ofAu NP of PNIPAM-Au@cP4VP-PS by near infrared （NIR） irradiation can trigger a fast transition from amphiphilic to hydrophobic of the Janus NPs at low surrounding temperature. De-stabilization of the emulsion is NIR triggered although the system temperature is below LCST （-32 ℃）.

Quality of service aware admission control in cognitive device-to-device network

A hybrid system of cellular mode and device-to-device （D2D） mode is considered in this paper, where the cellular resource is reused by the D2D transmission. With the objective of capacity maximization, the power optimization of D2D sub-system is considered, taking into account quality of service （QoS） requirement. The power optimization problem is divided into two stages： The first stage is the admission control scheme design based on the QoS requirement of D2D users, and the second is power allocation to maximize aggregate throughput of admissible D2D users. For the D2D admission control problem, a heuristic sorting-based algorithm is proposed to index the admissible D2D links, where gain to Interference ratio （GIR） sorting criterion is used. Applying an approximate form of Shannon capacity, the power allocation problem can be solved by convex optimization and geometric programming tools efficiently. Based on the theoretical analysis, a practical algorithm is proposed. The precision can reach a trade-off between complexity and performance. Numerical simulation results confirm that combining with GIR sorting method, the proposed scheme can significantly improve the D2D system＇s capacity and fairness.

Recrystallization and mechanical properties of cold-rolled FeCrAl alloy during annealing
