Multifunctional Nacre‑Like Nanocomposite Papers for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding via Heterocyclic Aramid/MXene Template‑Assisted In‑Situ Polypyrrole Assembly

Robust, ultra-flexible, and multifunctional MXene-basedelectromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding nanocomposite filmsexhibit enormous potential for applications in artificial intelligence,wireless telecommunication, and portable/wearable electronic *** this work, a nacre-inspired multifunctional heterocyclic aramid(HA)/MXene@polypyrrole (PPy) (HMP) nanocomposite paper withlarge-scale, high strength, super toughness, and excellent tolerance tocomplex conditions is fabricated through the strategy of HA/MXenehydrogel template-assisted in-situ assembly of PPy. Benefiting from the"brick-and-mortar" layered structure and the strong hydrogen-bondinginteractions among MXene, HA, and PPy, the paper exhibits remarkable mechanical performances, including high tensile strength (309.7 MPa),outstanding toughness (57.6 MJ m−3), exceptional foldability, and structural stability against ultrasonication. By using the template effect ofHA/MXene to guide the assembly of conductive polymers, the synthesized paper obtains excellent electronic conductivity. More importantly,the highly continuous conductive path enables the nanocomposite paper to achieve a splendid EMI shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) of 54.1 dBat an ultra-thin thickness (25.4 μm) and a high specific EMI SE of 17,204.7 dB cm2g−1. In addition, the papers also have excellent applicationsin electromagnetic protection, electro-/photothermal de-icing, thermal therapy, and fire safety. These findings broaden the ideas for developinghigh-performance and multifunctional MXene-based films with enormous application potential in EMI shielding and thermal management.

Attenuation of Oxidative Stress-Induced Cell Apoptosis and Pyroptosis in RSC96 Cells by Salvianolic Acid B

Objective:To determine whether salvianolic acid B(Sal B)exerts protective effects on diabetic peripheral neuropathy by attenuating apoptosis and ***:RSC96 cells were primarily cultured with DMEM(5.6 mmol/L glucose),hyperglycemia(HG,125 mmol/L glucose)and Sal B(0.1,1,and 10μmol/L).Cells proliferation was measured by 3-(4,5-cimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-dilphenyltetrazolium bromide *** oxygen species(ROS)generation and apoptosis rate were detected by flow cytometry *** blot was performed to analyze the expressions of poly ADP-ribose polymerase(PARR),cleaved-caspase 3,cleavedcaspase 9,Bcl-2,Bax,NLRP3,ASC,and interleukin(IL)-1β.Results:Treatment with HG at a concentration of125 mmol/L attenuated cellular proliferation,while Sal B alleviated this injury(P<0.05).In addition,Sal B inhibited HG-induced ROS production and apoptosis rate(P<0.05).Furthermore,treatment with Sal B down-regulated HG-induced PARP,cleaved-caspase 3,cleaved-caspase 9,Bax,NLRP3,ASC,and IL-1βexpression,but mitigated HG-mediated down-regulation of Bcl-2 expression(P<0.05).Conclusion:Sal B may protect RSC96 cells against HG-induced cellular injury via the inhibition of apoptosis and pyroptosis activated by ROS.

A simplified method for the determination of vertically loaded pile-soil interface parameters in layered soil based on FLAC3D

The numerical analysis of pile-soil interaction commonly requires a lot of trial works to determine the interface parameters and the accuracy cannot be ensured normally. Considering this, this paper first conducts a sensitivity analysis to figure out the influence of interface parameters on the bearing behavior of a single pile in sand. Then, a simplified method for the determination of pile-soil interface parameters in layered soil is proposed based on the parameter studies. Finally, a filed loading test is used for the validation of the simplified method, and the calculated results agree well with the monitoring data. In general, the simplified method proposed in this paper works with higher accuracy and consumes less time compared with the traditional trial works, especially on the determinations ofinterfacial cohesive and interracial friction angle.

Facile synthesis and superior photocatalytic and electrocatalytic performances of porous B-doped g-C_3N_4 nanosheets

As a low-cost visible-light-driven metal-free catalyst, graphitic carbon nitride(g-CN) has attracted increasing attention due to its wide applications for solar energy conversion, environmental purification,and organic photosynthesis. In particular, the catalytic performance of g-CNcan be easily modulated by modifying morphology, doping, and copolymerization. Simultaneous optimization, however, has little been achieved. Herein, a facile one-pot strategy is developed to synthesize porous B-doped g-CNnanosheets by using HBOand urea as the precursor during thermal polymerization. The resultant B-doped g-CNnanosheets retain the original framework of bulk g-CN, while induce prominently enhanced visible light harvesting and narrowing band gap by 0.32 eV compared to pure g-CN. Moreover, the adsorption capacity and photodegradation kinetics of methylene blue(MB) under visible light irradiation over B-doped g-CNnanosheets can be improved by 20.5 and 17 times, respectively. The synthesized porous B-doped g-CNnanosheets also exhibit higher activities than pure g-CNas bifunctional electrocatalyst for both oxygen evolution reaction(OER) and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR). The enhanced catalyst performance of porous B-doped g-CNnanosheets stems from the strong synergistic effect originating from the larger exposed active sites generated by the exfoliation of g-CNinto nanosheets and the porous structure, as well as the better conductivity owing to B-doping. This work provides a simple, effective, and robust method for the synthesis of g-CN-based nanomaterial with superior properties to meet the needs of various applications.

Hybrid-panel-based new design idea for large reflector antenna

Large reflector antennas are widely used as radio telescopes and active main reflectors are generally applied to improve the surface accuracy. Considering that the high cost has been one important problem in engineering, it is worth discussing whether it is necessary to install actuators on all the panels. Thus, in this paper, a hybrid-panel-based new design idea for large reflector antenna is proposed. Assuming that the actuators are installed only in the region of the reflector with large deformations and there are no actuators in other region to reduce the actuator number, the surface accuracies and the corresponding electromagnetic(EM) performances calculated by three different panel adjustment strategies are compared. The most effective method is that the deformed reflector should be first preadjusted to reduce the gravity deformation and then the panels equipped with actuators should be adjusted to the locations determined by the best fitting reflector(BFR) derived by the deformed reflector with no actuators. A 35 m reflector antenna is adopted as an example to calculate the surface accuracy and EM performance when parts of the panels are equipped with actuators. The simulation results show that there is no need to install actuators on all panels and the presented method can greatly reduce the number of actuators with guaranteed surface accuracy. Thus, during the antenna structural design phase, once the surface accuracy requirement is given, the number of actuators can be minimized to reduce the manufacturing and maintenance costs as much as possible. This paper can provide valuable guidance for the design of an active main reflector with hybrid panels.

The influence of thermal deformation on the performance of reflector antennas has become increasingly significant with the increasing aperture and working *** use of a thermal compensation database is an efficient method to compensate for the deformation caused by the non-uniform temperature ***,how to efficiently and accurately match and call the database remains as one of the tough challenges for the antenna thermal compensation system to achieve real time ***,this study proposes a data match and call method for the thermal compensation database of the reflector antenna,matching the database from three aspects:the overall rms match of temperature data,the similarity area match of each data sample,and the key area match of key structural *** validation of this method is demonstrated in an *** difference between the pointing adjustment amount calculated by the matched data and the collected data was found to be less than 1",which satisfied the requirements of practical engineering,thus achieving real-time thermal compensation of the antenna.

Pneumoconiosis is a systemic occupational disease that commonly manifests as diffuse fibrosis of the lungs caused by long-term inhalation of silica dust in the production process. The development of pneumoconiosis is a chronic and progressive process;once it occurs, it is irreversible, and gradually develops into lung injury and respiratory failure, and can cause death regardless of exposure to dust. The incidence of pneumoconiosis is the highest in China and the direct and indirect economic loss as a result of pneumoconiosis is approximately 9 billion yuan per year.

Adipose-derived stromal cells resemble bone marrow stromal cells in hepatocyte differentiation potential in vitro and in vivo

AIM To investigate whether mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) from adipose-derived stromal cells(ADSCs) and bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs) have similar hepatic differentiation *** Mouse ADSCs and BMSCs were isolated and cultured. Their morphological and phenotypic characteristics, as well as their multiple differentiation capacity were compared. A new culture system was established to induce ADSCs and BMSCs into functional hepatocytes. Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, Western blot, and immunofluorescence analyses were performed to identify the induced hepatocytelike cells. CM-Dil-labeled ADSCs and BMSCs were then transplanted into a mouse model of CCl4-induced acute liver failure. fluorescence microscopy was used to track the transplanted MSCs. Liver function was tested by an automatic biochemistry analyzer, and liver tissue histology was observed by hematoxylin and eosin(HE) *** ADSCs and BMSCs shared a similar morphology and multiple differentiation capacity, as well as a similar phenotype(with expression of CD29 and CD90 and no expression of CD11 b or CD45). Morphologically, ADSCs and BMSCs became round and epithelioid following hepatic induction. These two cell types differentiated into hepatocyte-like cells with similar expression of albumin, cytokeratin 18, cytokeratin 19, alpha fetoprotein, and cytochrome P450. fluorescence microscopy revealed that both ADSCs and BMSCs were observed in the mouse liver at different time points. Compared to the control group, both the function of the injured livers and HE staining showed significant improvement in the ADSC-and BMSC-transplanted mice. There was no significant difference between the two MSC *** ADSCs share a similar hepatic differentiation capacity and therapeutic effect with BMSCs in an acute liver failure model. ADSCs may represent an ideal seed cell type for cell transplantation or a bio-artificial liver support system.

A large reflector antenna is one of the key components of a deep space telemetry track and command(TT&C)network,which is of great importance for human space activities,such as satellite communication,spaceflight,and deep space exploration[1].The main feature of this antenna type is its large aperture and often it requires strict surface accuracy to ensure high gain and high pointing performance[2,3].There are two kinds of reflector antennas:non-fully movable antenna and fully steerable *** Fivehundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope in China is one representative non-fully movable antenna with a super large aperture and low operation *** fully steerable reflector antennas worldwide can be further divided into four categories according to their aperture diameters and highest operation frequencies,as shown in *** of the antennas in Fig.1 can be found in Ref.[4]and the details are not presented *** 1 includes the traditional reflectors with large apertures and low operation frequencies.

A General Description for Chinese Medicine in Treating Premature Ovarian Failure

Premature ovarian failure（POF） is a kind of gynecological disease that causes amenorrhea, infertility, menopause and urogenital symptoms. Currently hormone replacement therapy（HRT） is the most popular choice for women with POF to get rid of menopausal syndrome. However, as the popularization of Chinese herbs made Chinese medicine（CM） shine new lights, physicians are able to treat POF with both meno-herbs and integrated therapy. HRT has its own indications and contraindications. For example, unexplained vaginal bleeding, acute liver damage, liver dysfunction, vascular embolization, and breast cancer are all contraindications of HRT, and CM is taken by more physicians as an adjuvant therapy. This review, including a range of common Chinese herbs and formulations according to the existing literature, provides a general description of CM treating POF from the aspects of mechanisms and clinical application. It also highlights acupuncture as a unique physiotherapy for POF. Although the validity of CM has been supported by the evidence of many preclinical trials, clinical trials and meta-analysis, the adverse events with CM therapy still exist and no guarantee has been made for its safety. This review concludes the updated information for CM treating POF contributing to further studies.e
