Metal additive manufacturing(AM),as a disruptive technology in the feld of fabricating metallic parts,has shown its ability to design component with macrostructural ***,some of these functionally complex structures typically contain a wide range of feature sizes,namely,the characteristic length of elements in AM-produced components can vary from millimeter to *** requisite for controlling performance covers nearly six orders of magnitude,from the microstructure to macro scale *** the mechanical variation with the feature size is of critical importance for topology optimization engineers to make required design *** this work,laser metal deposition(LMD)is adopted to manufacture 316L stainless steel(SS)*** evaluate the efect of defects and specimen size on mechanical properties of LMD-produced samples,fve rectangular sample sizes which ranged from non-standard miniature size to ASTM standard sub-sized samples were machined from the *** test reveals that the mechanical properties including yield strength(YS),ultimate tensile strength(UTS),and elongation to failure(εf)are almost the identical for samples with ASTM standard ***,relatively lower YS and UTS values,except forεf,are observed for samples with a miniature size compared with that of ASTM standard ***εf values of LMD-produced 316L SS samples show a more complex trend with sample size,and are afected by three key infuencing factors,namely,slimness ratio,cluster of pores,and occupancy location of lack of fusion *** general,theεf values exhibit a decreasing trend with the increase of slimness *** characterization reveals that the LMD-produced 316L samples exhibited a high stress status at low angle grain boundaries,whilst its location changed to high angle grain boundaries after plastic *** grain size refnement and austenite-to-martensite phase transformation occurred during plastic deformatio

In the present work,316 L stainless steel specimens are fabricated by selective laser melting(SLM)via optimized laser process *** effects of two extrinsic factors,i.e.,strain rate and annealing temperature,on the mechanical performance of SLM-processed parts are *** two intrinsic factors,namely strain rate sensitivity m and work hardening exponent n,which control the tensile properties of the as-built samples,are *** structure characterizations show that cellular structure and crystalline grain exhibit apparently different thermal stability at 873 *** testing reveals that the yield strength decreases from 584±16 MPa to 323±2 MPa,while the elongation to failure increases from(46±1)%to(65±2)%when annealing temperature varies from 298 K to 1328 *** n value increases from 0.13 to 0.33 with the increase in annealing *** to the presence of fine cellular structures and high relative density achieved in as-printed 316 L samples,a strong dependence between tensile yield strength and strain rate is *** addition,the strain rate sensitivity of the SLM-produced 316 L part(m=0.017)is much larger than that of conventional coarse-grained part(m=0.006),whereas the n value increases slightly from 0.097 to 0.14 with increasing strain rate.

This paper covers the construction and behaviour of a mixed binder carbon paste electrode system appropriate for the cathodic stripping voltammetric quantitation of iso-niazid. The mixed binder consisted of glycerol and liquid paraffin. At the mixed binder carbon paste electrodes in a pH 3.0 buffer solution, isoniazid showed two sensitive cathodic stripping voltammetric wave at-0. 75 V (p1) and-0. 88 V (p2) , respectively. The p2 can be used for the determination of trace amounts of isoniazid, the linear range of the peak current to the isoniazid concentration being from 5. 0×10-7 to 5.0×10-5 mol/L, and the limit of detection being 1. 0×10-7 mol/L with a relative standard deviation of 6. 0%(n=10). The proposed method was directly used to determine the drug in blood serum without the pretreatment of blood serum.

Transforming growth factor-beta 1(TGF-β1)has been extensively studied for its pleiotropic effects on central nervous system *** neuroprotective or neurotoxic effects of TGF-β1 in specific brain areas may depend on the pathological process and cell types ***-gated sodium channels(VGSCs)are essential ion channels for the generation of action potentials in neurons,and are involved in various neuroexcitation-related ***,the effects of TGF-β1 on the functional properties of VGSCs and firing properties in cortical neurons remain *** this study,we investigated the effects of TGF-β1 on VGSC function and firing properties in primary cortical neurons from *** found that TGF-β1 increased VGSC current density in a dose-and time-dependent manner,which was attributable to the upregulation of Nav1.3 *** VGSC current density and Nav1.3 expression were significantly abolished by preincubation with inhibitors of mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase(PD98059),p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(SB203580),and Jun NH2-terminal kinase 1/2 inhibitor(SP600125).Interestingly,TGF-β1 significantly increased the firing threshold of action potentials but did not change their firing rate in cortical *** findings suggest that TGF-β1 can increase Nav1.3 expression through activation of the ERK1/2-JNK-MAPK pathway,which leads to a decrease in the firing threshold of action potentials in cortical neurons under pathological ***,this contributes to the occurrence and progression of neuroexcitatory-related diseases of the central nervous system.

Rational engineering of semiconductor photocatalysts for efficient hydrogen production is of great significance but still challenging,primarily due to the limitations in charge transfer ***,a fascinating plasmonic tandem heterojunction with the hc-CdS/Mo2C@C heterostructure is aimfully prepared for effectively promoting the charge separation kinetics of the CdS photocatalyst via the synergistic strategy of phase junction,Schottky junction,and photothermal *** difference in atomic configuration between cubic-CdS （c-CdS） and hexagonal-CdS （h-CdS） leads to effective charge separation through a typical Ⅱ charge transfer mechanism,and plasmonic Schottky junction further extracts the electrons in the hc-CdS phase junction to realize gradient charge ***,the photothermal effect of Mo2C@C helps to expand the light absorption,accelerate charge transfer kinetics,and reduce the hydrogen evolution energy *** carbon layer provides a fast channel for charge transfer and protects the photocatalyst from *** a result,the optimized hc-CMC photocatalyst exhibits a significantly high photocatalytic H2production activity of 28.63 mmol/g/h and apparent quantum efficiency of 61.8%,surpassing most of the reported *** study provides a feasible strategy to enhance the charge transfer kinetics and photocatalytic activity of CdS by constructing plasmonic tandem heterogeneous junctions.
