Many empirical and analytical methods have been proposed to predict fracturing pressure in cohesive *** of them take into account three to four specific influencing factors and rely on the assumption of a failure *** this study,a novel data-mining approach based on the XGBoost algorithm is investigated for predicting fracture initiation in cohesive *** has the advantage of handling multiple influencing factors simultaneously,without pre-determining a failure mode.A dataset of 416 samples consisting of 14 distinct features was herein collected from past studies,and used for developing a regressor and a classifier model for fracturing pressure prediction and failure mode classification *** results show that the intrinsic characteristics of the soil govern the failure mode while the fracturing pressure is more sensitive to the stress *** XGBoost-based model was also tested against conventional approaches,as well as a similar machine learning algorithm namely random forest ***,several large-scale triaxial fracturing tests and an in-situ case study were carried out to further verify the generalization ability and applicability of the proposed data mining approach,and the results indicate a superior performance of the XGBoost model.

A highly sensitive temperature sensing array is prepared by all laser direct writing(LDw)method,using laser induced silver(LIS)as electrodes and laser induced graphene(LIG)as temperature sensing layer.A finite element analysis(FEA)photothermal model incorporating a phase transition mechanism is developed to investigate the relationship between laser parameters and LIG properties,providing guidance for laser processing parameters selection with laser power of 1–5 w and laser scanning speed(greater than 50 mm/s).The deviation of simulation and experimental data for widths and thickness of LIG are less than 5%and 9%,*** electrical properties and temperature responsiveness of LIG are also *** changing the laser process parameters,the thickness of the LIG ablation grooves can be in the range of 30–120μm and the resistivity of LIG can be regulated within the range of 0.031–67.2Ω・*** percentage temperature coefficient of resistance(TCR)is calculated as−0.58%/°***,the FEA photothermal model is studied through experiments and simulations data regarding LIS,and the average deviation between experiment and simulation is less than 5%.The LIS sensing samples have a thickness of about 14μm,an electrical resistivity of 0.0001–100Ω・m is insensitive to temperature and pressure ***,for a LIS-LIG based temperature sensing array,a correction factor is introduced to compensate for the LIG temperature sensing being disturbed by pressure stimuli,the temperature measurement difference is decreased from 11.2 to 2.6°C,indicating good accuracy for temperature measurement.

Visible-light indoor positioning is a new generation of positioning technology that can be integrated into smart lighting and optical communications. The current received signal strength(RSS)-based visible-light positioning systems struggle to overcome the interferences of background and indoor-reflected noise. Meanwhile, when ensuring the lighting, it is impossible to use the superposition of each light source to accurately distinguish light source information; furthermore, it is difficult to achieve accurate positioning in complex indoor environments. This study proposes an indoor positioning method based on a combination of power spectral density detection and a neural network. The system integrates the mechanism for visible-light radiation detection with RSS theory, to build a back propagation neural network model fitting for multiple reflection channels. Different frequency signals are loaded to different light sources at the beacon end, and the characteristic frequency and power vectors are obtained at the location end using the Pisarenko harmonic decomposition method. Then, a complete fingerprint database is established to train the neural network model and conduct location tests. Finally, the location effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified via actual positioning experiments. The simulation results show that, when four groups of sinusoidal waves with different frequencies are superimposed with white noise, the maximum frequency error is 0.104 Hz and the maximum power error is 0.0362 w. For the measured positioning stage, a 0.8 m × 0.8 m × 0.8 m solid wood stereoscopic positioning model is constructed, and the average error is 4.28 cm. This study provides an effective method for separating multi-source signal energies, overcoming background noise, and improving indoor visible-light positioning accuracies.

Thermally conductive polymer nanocomposites integrated with lightweight,excellent flexural strength,and high fracture toughness(KIc)would be of great use in many ***,achieving all of these properties simultaneously remains a great *** by natural nacre,here we demonstrate a lightweight,strong,tough,and thermally conductive boron nitride nanosheet/epoxy layered(BNNEL)*** of the layered structure and enhancing the interfacial interactions through hydrogen bonding and Si–O–B covalent bonding,the resulting nacre-inspired BNNEL nanocomposites show high fracture toughness of~4.22 MPa·m^(1/2),which is 7 folds as high as pure ***,the BNNEL nanocomposites demonstrate sufficient flexural strength(~168.90 MPa,comparable to epoxy resin),while also being lightweight(~1.23 g/cm^(3)).Additionally,the BNNEL nanocomposites display a thermal conductivity(κ)of~0.47 w/(m·K)at low boron nitride nanosheet loading of 2.08 vol.%,which is 2.7 times higher than that of pure epoxy *** developed nacre-inspired strategy of layered structure design and interfacial enhancement provides an avenue for fabricating high mechanical properties and thermally conductive polymer nanocomposites.

The distinctive intrinsic heat treatment(IHT)originating from cyclic reheating in the laser-directed energy deposition(LDED) has attracted grow.ng attention in recent *** this investigation,simulations and experimental characterizations were performed to examine the impact of IHT on the micros true ture and mechanical properties of LDED-fabricated CrCoNi medium-entropy alloy(MEA).The results show that the intensity of the IHT is proportional to the utilized laser energy density(LED).As the LED increased,significant dynamic recrystallization and grain refinement occurred within the alloy due to the enhanced intensity of ***,the high LED leads to severe hot cracking within the as-built MEA,resulting in inferior *** decreasing LED,the hot cracking was effectively ***,low LED weakened the intensity of IHT and consequently inhibited kinetic conditions of dynamic recrystallization,resulting in a heterogeneous grain structure characterized by multi-scale-sized *** structure provides significant hetero-deformation-induced hardening during plastic deformation,enabling the alloy to have a sustainable work-hardening *** expect that this work will have implications in taking full advantage of the unique IHT of the LDED process to fabricate ME As with excellent metallurgical quality and mechanical performance.

we systematically studied the evaporation residue cross sections of ^(48)Ca-induced reactions on lanthanide and actinide target nuclei under the Dinuclear System(DNS)model framework to check the reliability and applicability of the *** produce new proton-rich Fl and Lv isotopes through hot fusion reactions in the superheavy element region with Z≥104,we utilized the reactions ^(48)Ca+^(236,238,239) Pu and ^(48)Ca+^(242,243,244,250) ***,ow.ng to the detection limit of available equipment(0.1 pb),only 283Fl and 287−289Lv,which have the maximum evaporation residue cross section values of 0.149,0.130,9.522,and 0.309 pb,respectively,can be ***,to produce neutron-deficient isotopes of actinides near the proton drip line with Z=93−100,we attempted to generate the new isotopes(224−227Pu,228−232,237Cm)using the reactions ^(48)Ca+180,182,183 w and ^(48)Ca+^(184,186,187,192) *** maximum evaporation residue cross section values are 0.07,0.06,0.26,and 0.30 nb for the former set of reactions,and 1.96 pb,5.73 pb,12.16 pb,19.39 pb,54.79 pb,and 6.45 nb for the latter,*** results are expected to provide new information for the future synthesis of unknown neutron-deficient isotopes.
