Binding of vanadium compounds perturbs conformation and aggregation state of insulin

＜正＞1,2.Migration is one of the fundamental reactions in transition metal-catalyzed reaction of a-diazo carbonyl compounds. Although cyclopropanation, dimerization, and X-H （X=C, O, S, N, etc.） bond insertions are major reaction pathways, the 1,2.migration may become competitive in some cases. Among the 1,2.migration reactions, the 1,2.hydride migration is generally predominant, but 1,2.alky1, 1,2.ary1, 1,2.viny1, 1,2.acetylenyl 1,2.thio group migrations are also observed. It is also reported that 1,2.acetoxy group has a higher migratory aptitude over 1,2.hydride migration in Rh2.OAc）4-mediated reaction of a-diazo carbonyl compounds, presumably due to a favorable five-membered ring transition state 2.

Abstract The interactions between zinc-free insulin and vanadium compounds, NaVO3. VO（acac）2.nd VO（ma）2. have been in-vestigated by fluorescence spectroscopy, circular dichroism （CD） and Fourier-transformed infrared （FT-IR） spectroscopy. The resultsshowed that binding of vanadium compounds produced a static quenching of the intrinsic fluorescence of insulin. The apparent associationconstants were determined to be （0. 17±0. 01）×10～4 L·mol-1for NaVO3. （2. 8±0. 2.×10～4 L·mol-1for VO（acac）2. and （4. 0±0. 1）×10～4 L·mol-1for VO（ma）2. respectively. The light scattering intensity of insulin decreased upon incubation with the vanadium com-pounds, suggesting the disaggregation of insulin. The attenuation of the band at 2.3.nm of insulin CD spectra also supported the disaggre-gation of insulin observed above. A new band at 1650 ～ 1653.cm-1appeared in the FT-IR spectra of insulin upon incubation with the vana-dium compounds, indicating the formation of an α-helix structure at B (9-

Several polymer-supported palladium complex catalysts containing two different coordinatinggroups were prepared and the cooperative effect of the coordinating groups on the catalytic behaviorsof polymer catalysts was studied. It was found that poly(acrylic acid-co-acrylonitrile)-Pd complex(PAA-AN-Pd) is a more active and stable catalyst for hydrogenation than both poly(acrylic acid)-Pd and poly(acrylonitrile)-Pd complexes. A marked change of catalytic behaviors of poly(N-substituted maleamic acid-co-styrene)-Pd complexes was observed in comparison with poly(maleicacid-co-styrene)-Pd complex. Acetophenone was reduced to 1-phenyl ethanol by poly(N-phenylmaleamic acid-Co-styrene)-Pd complex (N-1-Pd), but ethylbenzene was obtained using poly(maleicacid-co-styrene)-Pd complex as a catalyst. The influence of solvents, additives and N/Pd gramatomic ratio on the catalytic behaviors of the polymer complexes was investigated.

This work provides a theoretical investigation into the strong coupling between a single quantum emitter(QE)and the surface plasmons of sodium metals in two representative plasmonic systems,i.e.,the semi-infinite metal-dielectric interface and the metal nanoparticles(NPs)of monomer/dimer *** both configurations,sodium metals exhibit distinctly stronger coupling strength and lower optical loss in the optical region than their noble metal counterparts,demonstrating the ideal candidate characteristics for single-molecule-level strong couplings with distinctly facile operation *** results provide new insights into extreme light-matter interactions with potential applications in quantum information,optical sensors,quantum chemistry,etc.

Exosomes,extracellular vesicles(EVs)that play crucial roles in biological processes,have emerged as attractive targets for noninvasive disease diagnosis and *** spectrometry(MS)offers high sensitivity,high throughput,and excellent qualification and quantification capacity,which is the ideal approach for exosome ***’unique physiochemical properties,controllable morphology,and large surface area make them promising in biological sample pretreatment and *** contributed diverse functions to the exosome MS analysis,encompassing substrates for exosome isolation and cargos enrichment,matrices for laser desorption/ionization(LDI),read-out signals and supporters for signal amplification strategies,*** this review,recent progress in the applications of nanomaterial in the exosome MS analysis was summarized and a comprehensive discussion on the challenges and perspectives was proposed for the development of an advancing analysis approach of exosomes for the accurate diagnosis and monitoring of diseases.

Polyelectrolyte(PE)gels,distinguished by their unique stimuli-responsive swelling behavior,serve as the basis of broad applications,such as artificial muscles and drug *** this work,we present a theoretical model to analyze the electrostatics and its contribution to the swelling behavior of PE gels in salt *** minimizing the free energy of PE gels,we obtain two distinct scaling regimes for the swelling ratio at equilibrium with respect to the salt *** compare our predictions for the swelling ratio with experimental measurements,which show excellent *** addition,we employ a finite element method to assess the applicability range of our theoretical model and *** anticipate that our model will also provide valuable insights into drug adsorption and release,deformation of red blood cells,4D printing and soft robotics,where the underlying mechanism of swelling remains enigmatic.
