Effects of Spatial Information of Soil Physical Properties on Hydrological Modeling Based on a Distributed Hydrological Model

The spatial distribution of soil physical properties is essential for modeling and understanding hydrological processes. In this study, the different spatial information (the conventional soil types map-based spatial information (STMB) versus refined spatial information map (RSIM)) of soil physical properties, including field capacity, soil porosity and saturated hydraulic conductivity are used respectively as input data for Water Flow Model for Lake Catchment (WATLAC) to determine their effectiveness in simulating hydrological processes and to expound the effects on model performance in terms of estimating groundwater recharge, soil evaporation, runoff generation as well as partitioning of surface and subsurface water flow. The results show that: 1) the simulated stream flow hydrographs based on the STMB and RSIM soil data reproduce the observed hydrographs well. There is no significant increase in model accuracy as more precise soil physical properties information being used, but WATLAC model using the RSIM soil data could predict more runoff volume and reduce the relative runoff depth errors; 2) the groundwater recharges have a consistent trend for both cases, while the STMB soil data tend to produce higher groundwater recharges than the RSIM soil data. In addition, the spatial distribution of annual groundwater recharge is significantly affected by the spatial distribution of soil physical properties; 3) the soil evaporation simulated using the STMB and RSIM soil data are similar to each other, and the spatial distribution patterns are also insensitive to the spatial information of soil physical properties; and 4) although the different spatial information of soil physical properties does not cause apparent difference in overall stream flow, the partitioning of surface and subsurface water flow is distinct. For a multiple-oscillator system that is subject to the uncertain gains ranging within compact sets,this paper presents a constructive stabilization *** by nested-saturation control methods,a nested controller that contains multiplicative coefficients is directly designed,and these coefficients are then determined in the stability *** skillfully making transformations,elaborately constructing Lyapunov functions,and using an M-matrix principle,the stability analysis leads to the explicit inequality condition that is expressed by directly using the system parameters.

Integrating lipidomics and gut microbiota to study the anti-hyperlipidemia effect of Sargentodoxae Caulis extract

Influence of Na_2CO_3 as Additive on Direct Reduction of Boron-bearing Magnetite Concentrate

Boron-bearing magnetite concentrate is typically characterized by low grade of iron and boron （wTFe = 51%- 54%, WB2O3 =6%-8%）, as well as the close intergrowth of ascharite phase and magnetite phase. A promising technology was proposed to separate iron and boron by coupling the direct reduction of iron oxides and Na activation of boron minerals together. The influence of Na2CO3 as additive on the direct reduction of boron-bearing magnetite was studied by chemical analysis, kinetic analysis, XRD analysis and SEM analysis. The results showed that the ad- dition of Na2CO3 not only activated boron minerals, but also reduced the activation energy of the reaction and pro- moted the reduction of iron oxides. Besides, the addition of Na2CO3 changed the composition and melting point of non-ferrous phase, and then promoted the growth and aggregation of iron grains, which was conducive to the subse- quent magnetic separation. Facile modification of aluminum hypophosphate and its flame retardancy for polystyrene

A phosphorus-containing flame retardant, aluminum hypophosphite(AHPi), has been modified by(3-aminopropyl) triethoxysilane(KH550) to prepare flame-retardant polystyrene(PS). The influence of modified AHPi on the morphology and characterization was investigated, and differences in flame retardant properties of the PS/AHPi and PS/modified AHPi were compared. The PS composite can pass the vertical burning tests(UL-94 standard) with a V-0 rating when the mass content of modified AHPi reaches20%, compared with the mass content of 25% AHPi. The element mapping of the PS composite shows that modified AHPi has better dispersion in PS than AHPi. Thermogravimetric analysis results indicated that adding modified AHPi can advance the initial decomposition temperature of the composite *** the addition of modified AHPi, the decrease in peak heat release rate(p HRR) is more evident than AHPi, and the char yield of the resultant PS composites gradually increased. With the addition of 25%modified AHPi, the p HRR and total heat release of PS composites decreased by 81.4% and 37.6%. The modification of AHPi promoted its dispersion in the PS matrix and improved the char formation of PS composites. The results of real-time infrared spectrometry of PS composites, Fourier transform infrared spectra and X-ray photoelectron analysis of the char layer indicated that modified AHPi has flame retardancy in condensed and gas phases.

Deep Reinforcement Learning Based Charging Scheduling for Household Electric Vehicles in Active Distribution Network

With the booming of electric vehicles(EVs) across the world, their increasing charging demands pose challenges to urban distribution networks. Particularly, due to the further implementation of time-of-use prices, the charging behaviors of household EVs are concentrated on low-cost periods, thus generating new load peaks and affecting the secure operation of the medium-and low-voltage grids. This problem is particularly acute in many old communities with relatively poor electricity infrastructure. In this paper, a novel two-stage charging scheduling scheme based on deep reinforcement learning is proposed to improve the power quality and achieve optimal charging scheduling of household EVs simultaneously in active distribution network(ADN) during valley period. In the first stage, the optimal charging profiles of charging stations are determined by solving the optimal power flow with the objective of eliminating peak-valley load differences. In the second stage, an intelligent agent based on proximal policy optimization algorithm is developed to dispatch the household EVs sequentially within the low-cost period considering their discrete nature of arrival. Through powerful approximation of neural network, the challenge of imperfect knowledge is tackled effectively during the charging scheduling process. Finally, numerical results demonstrate that the proposed scheme exhibits great improvement in relieving peak-valley differences as well as improving voltage quality in the ADN.

Theoretical analysis of the surface temperature regulation of an infrared false target subjected to periodical ambient conditions

Infrared false target is an important mean to induce the infrared-guided weapons,and the key issue is how to keep the surface temperature of the infrared false target to be the same as that of the object to be ***-dimensional heat transfer models of a metal plate and imitative material were established to explore the influences of the thermophysical properties of imitative material on the surface temperature difference（STD） between the metal plate and imitative material which were subjected to periodical ambient *** is elucidated that the STD is determined by the imitative material’s dimensionless thickness（dim*,） and the thermal inertia(Pim).When dim* is above 1.0,the STD is invariable as long as Pim is a *** if the dimensionless thickness of metal plate（d,m*） is also larger than 1.0,the STD approaches to zero as long as Pimis the same as the thermal inertia of metal plate（Pm）.When dim* is between 0.08 and 1,the STD varies irregularly with Pim and dim*.However,if dm* is also in the range of 0.08-1,the STD approaches to zero on condition that Pim=Pm and dim*= dm*.If dim*,is below 0.08,the STD is unchanged when Pimdim* is a *** if dm* is also less than 0.08,the STD approaches to zero as long as Pimdim* = Pmdm*.Furthermore,an applicationoriented discussion indicates that the imitative material can be both light and thin via the application of the phase change material with a preset STD because of its high specific heat capacity during the phase transition process.

Effects of Current on Microcosmic Properties of Catalyst and Reforming of Bio-oil

Highly effective production of hydrogen from bio-oil was achieved by using a low-temperature electrochemical catalytic reforming approach over the conventional Ni-based reforming catalyst （NiO-Al2O3）, where an AC electronic current passed through the catalyst bed. The promoting effects of current on the bio-oil reforming were studied. It was found that the performance of the bio-oil reforming was remarkably enhanced by the current which passed through the catalyst. The effects of currents on the microcosmic properties of the catalyst, including the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller （BET） surface area, pore diameter, pore volume, the size of the crystallites and the reduction level of NiO into Ni, were carefully characterized by BET, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscope. The desorption of the thermal electrons from the electrified catalyst was directly observed by the TOF （time of flight） measurements. The mechanism of the electrochemical catalytic reforming of bio-oil is discussed based on the above investigation.
